Hey guys, I found a great venue for a tourney in Chaska, and I was wondering if you guys would know a general good time to get people to go out to it including possible OoS. The place is called High Score Video Games located at

131 W 4th St
Chaska, MN 55318

The owner and I are tight, and he's letting me have full reign on a tourney whenever.

Any thoughts on a good time for everyone?

Do you guys think we could make this big?

I just want to get your opinions lol.

Oh also, shall we try to do Melee and Brawl singles, or do Melee/Brawl Doubles and Singles.

If time permits, we could even do anything, but I'm not too sure how big events can work :/

if you want to make it bigger, like including OOS, then make sure to give plenty of advance notice. Aim for November in my opinion, and make sure it doenst conflict with any other tournaments that are being run at the same time.

Christmas break is best, like I said on the other boards, but usually other large tournaments are over Christmas too. So either schedule around them, or wait for summer if you want plenty of Oos people. Having it on a random weekend even with advanced notice would turn some people away, especially those who have to drive a distance or have school or work or something. Usually over Christmas, people don't work or have school for about a three-four week window.

Yeah it's a cool place and the owner is honestly one of the coolest guys you'll meet.

Would November 28th be a good day for all of this?

It would be a lot of time to hype up for OoS, and it'd also just give us a lot of time period.

The shop sort of actually just opened. It's run by an awesome owner. Who's chill.

He's completely fine with no venue fee. For tourney though, we might go for $10.
