I am fine with making it a $30 day over all. $10 melee singles $10 brawl singles and $5 for teams for each. |

New possible schedule #1 11:00am = friendlies 12:00pm = brawl doubles 2:00pm = brawl singles 4:00pm = hour break 5:00pm = melee teams 7:00pm = melee singles Possible schedule #2: 11:00am = friendlies 12:00pm = brawl singles pools 2:00pm = brawl brackets 4:00pm = hour break 5:00pm = melee singles pools 7:00pm = melee singles brackets possible schedule #3: 11:00am = friendlies 12:00pm = brawl doubles 2:00pm = melee doubles 4:00pm = hour break 5:00pm = brawl singles 7:00pm = melee singles (I personally do NOT like this one, as I like to keep melee and brawl separate so you can stay warmed up on either game, but some people just like to get all doubles over with, so I'm making this a possibility as well) Possible pricing: singles: $10 or $5 each? teams: $10 per team or $20 per team ($10 per person)? Give me your suggestions, which ones do you like more? I personally don't care which. I am going with the Marxist approach lol, power to the people, which do you want? |

Sounds to me that people like schedule #1, and the pricing of $10 singles, and $10 per team, this sound about right? If yes, then I'll make the changes to the thread EDIT: I've updated the original post, it now contains a stage CP selection. There are some more "controversial" stages in there, and if you disagree with some of them just say so, and if a stage receives enough negative feedback, then I will remove it. |

cloud camping on yoshi's island makes it really really gay. take it off. just use the usual CP's japes, corneria, mute, brinstar, kongo jungle, green greens, floats, cruise. if you want a new CP add Onett :] i'd be down with that. edit: i don't really have a problem with peach's castle, but i don't like it. same with mk2, the eggs on that stage from birdo rape alot...their all like stitch faces if you can catch em, which isn't hard at all. |

Yoshi 64 is big, encourages cloud camping, and has a bad camera (especially in teams). Should not be allowed. I'll try to make it to this. Dunno if I can stick around for melee singles (it's always last ), but I'll definately come for friendlies and maybe on the spot mms.Anyone want to team? EDIT: Peaches Castle also promotes massive camping. *shrugs* Also, I don't mean to suggest this specifically for this tournament, but what do people think of implementing extended sets into tournaments? For those that don't know extended sets mean that if two people have met before in the winners bracket and then meet again in the losers bracket, rather than start a new set, they make their current set a best-of-five, with the score of the previous set carrying over into the current one. Okay, so that is really confusing, so here's an example. Players A and B meet somewhere in the winners bracket. Player A wins 2-1. They meet again in the loser's bracket later on, but rather than play a whole new set, they extend the set to a best of five, with the score of the previous set carrying over. So player A only has to win one match in this extended set, while player B has to win two. Ideally, both players would remember the stage bans as those should carry over too. Why this could be a good system: Again, I'm going to do this by way of example. Suppose in a non-extended set tournament, players A and B meet in the winner's bracket. Player A wins 2-0. Later in the loser's bracket, the two players meet again, but this time, player B wins 2-1. Not an unlikely scenerio. The problem here is that player A actually beat player B in more tournament matches, but because player B won the set in the loser's bracket, he gets to move on in the tournament, despite the fact that he won fewer head-to-head games (and is therefore, arguably the worse player of the two in this instance). Extended sets make it so that the player with more wins head-to-head ALWAYS advances. Problems with this: 1. Stage bans/DSR: if you don't remember them this could be problematic since the set is extended, the stage bans are as well. 2. The loser of the winner's bracket set is heavily disadvantaged since if he should have to play against that player again in the loser's bracket he would have to go against two CPs while he only gets one (the first game of the "extended" set). Granted, one could argue that the original loser should be disadvantaged (he did lose afterall). But it is a concern nonetheless. Just throwing that out there. |

as to your brawl stages you mentioned- Distant planet-no. This stage encourages very dumb off the side kills from cg's with items that are very abusable and promotes some heavy camping. Its banned just about everywhere for a reason luigis mansion-this is debatable. I personally dont mind it too much, but the stage is a little stupid at times and should be treated so norfair-This is another sketchy one but as long as people aren't abusing edges it should be fine Green Greens-A little dumb but it should be fine YOshi's island pipes-This stage is nothing but an epic failure. Its probably the smallest one in the game and one of the sides can get free cg kills and stuff and aid to stupid things Bridge of elden-no, just no |

Thanks for your suggestions everyone. Lol I'll take off Yoshi 64 XD. Is peach's castle ok? It always seemed like an interesting stage, as the big chunk in the middle could cut off some combos : / is anybody adamantly against peach's castle? I always liked Distant Planet, lol but just cuz u asked napps i'll leave it in XD and nappy, i'm gonna want to hear better reasons against Bridge of Eldin. "no, just no" -nappy, september 16, 2009. that was low tier argument man, sorry : / |
