I have no idea how some luigi players do that tornado recovery. Every time I try it luigi just falls town to his death. how do you pull of a successfull tornado recovery?

If you press B (#)....Height gained
14+ times per second...Highest amount of height will be gained
12-13 times per second...2/3 the maximum height
8-10 times per second...1/2 the maximum height
5-7 times per second...0 height gained (maintains height; stalls)
Less than 5... Loss

This is obviously pretty hard to do. Good luck.

I can press at 20 times per second, so it's easy for me >.>

Also, in order to get a tornado that actually rises, you have to use tornado at least once on the ground to "reset" the tornado. That's why a lot of Luigi players do a tornado at the very beginning of a match or after they take off a stock. They reset the tornado so they can use it to recover later. Also, if you use the tornado to recover, you will need to reset it again once you're back on the ground.

times per second 20 x? wow that's hard to believe... i'll have to see this next fest/tourny.

reset is also known as "stirring up a yodel" and the down b is also known as "yodeling". Any time you own someone by using down b in the air, it's known as "yodelowning". all these are actually for doc's down b, but they apply to luigi and mario too.

I just do the thing where you twitch your hand really fast. I don't get tired like most people because I've been doing it since Street Fighter II >_>

im pretty sure this applies to everyone that can yodel, just not nearly as hard as it is for a luigi to pull off, and same with the ic's -> B the more times u press the higher they fly ;)

Doc's is a lot easier, I think his max height with it is at around 7-8 presses. If you want to test if you max the height with doc, stand on the stage, and down b pressing b fast as you can, and if you can double jump before you hit the ground you have succeeded.

Oh sweet, I can get in a double jump nearly every time, so I'm good. Thanks Mr. May, you're my hero.

And if 56k can do 20 presses in a second, than I bet he rapes at those Mario Party minigames.

Indeed ;)

Any minigame that involved mashing B as fast as possible, I always won. I have never lost a button-masher in all of the Mario Partys I've ever played (yes, I played with people not comps lol). Quite legendary. :D

I'm okay at the button mashing contests, but I've always prided myself on my 1337 Bumper Balls skillz. And of course Skateboard Scamper, and Facelift.

...

*goes and plays Mario Party*
