I don't really use these much, and I realize I should know how to do them since falcon grabs and runs a lot. I was wondering what the best method of doing this was? up on stick + z up on stick + r + a x/y + z x/y + r + a i do 100% of my grabs with r + a, and 100+ of my jumps with x/y, but it seems awkward when I do x/y + r + a. should i stick with what I do? |

I'm more of a up on stick + Z guy myself. R+A seems too inconsistent (I'll usually end up doing a dash -> shieldgrab, which takes away the entire point). X/Y might work too, but I can hardly do them at all with R+A. |

That would be awkward doing it x/y + r + a I think, but if it is what you are used to just keep doing it I'd say. If you are trying to get a new method down however, try up on control stick + z... It's really easy. |

you see, i've never pressed z before in battle so I don't know if it'll work the controller im currently borrowing has a horrible z button, maybe 20% of the times i try, it goes. so for now i'll prolly just keep my Y + R + A going, i can seem to get em 9/10 times in training mode. later after i finish studying, i'll try it in some computer battles. |

I use the joystick and press Z, I find it a lot easier to do than pressing X/Y +Z. |

X/Y + Z is pretty much the best/easiest way to do it. It took me a while before I got in the habbit of doing it but once you do it helps alot. |

i use y + z, but on a side note, do any of you use JC smashes? i find those much harder than grabs and harder to implement into a game |

I usually control stick up and then Smash with the C-Stick. Unless it's usmash, then I just use the standard up+A smash. |

i learned JC usmash for pikachu, its easy since up on the stick is also required for the u-smash. JC forward or down smashes I havent tried (not really a need to). after minor testing, i can mostly perform the JC grabs, but im still focusing too much. I ran too far before I did it, and with falcon... thats way too far, so I hardly ever actually grabbed anyone. hehe. i'll prolly end up doing what aaron does, since r + a is too silly. if I miss either button or mistime it a bit, i'll pay for it. hello z button |

see the way i do JC smashes, i have to commit to the smash 100%, because of how i hold the controller when i JC Smash, i use the cstick, so i have to change my hand position, then jump using my forefinger...and c stick with my thumb...sounds weird, but i can do it very fast, so i dont think its that big of an issue
