The way Ian saw it, there were two major problems. Make that three.

The Firefly would blow up, killing the ship and crew.

If they didn't get a patch on the Airlock, before they were ready, all the gas would leave the ship, killing the ship and crew.

He had wounded that could not safely leave

And there was Mike. He didn't want him on another ship until he had a chance to talk and get to the real issue. They had only brushed the surface back in the Med Bay.

Ok, that was four.

On the plus side, they could suck up all the remaining gas from the Firefly before sealing the crew into their current rooms, then blow the walk way and move away before the other explosives blew up. They would have an abundance of O2 in their pipes.

Then, all Ian would have to do is weld the patch on the door while wearing a space suit. He hated those things. They were too tight and the pants tended to ride up into his crotch. Good thing he was wearing his BVD's.

He stepped through the hole and back into the Glory.

"Get this ring of explosives off and I'll set the ship up for Decompression. I've got to isolate the Cargo bay from the ship and make sure the cabins and such have air. We'll move whomever can safely move to the Galiano. Blow the walkway and move fly the Glory to a safe distance. I'll get in a suit and patch up the air lock."

He paused a moment

"What do ya think? Did I cover all the bases?"

Sylandra nodded while still studying the demos lining the inside of the collar.

"We can use these t' blow the tunnel. Just have t' realign them t' point outward. The charges you set? Deeper in the Firefly? And I can help with a vacc suit. Been outside b'fore. Sonya on the helm, so I'm available here. I like gettin' others over t' Galiano for safe keepin'. Them that can."

She got busy shifting the blocks of explosives to blow the collar off the tunnel on detonation.

Hitting the deck brought Beth out of the faint but it took her a little longer to realise where she was and what happened. She lifted herself gingerly to her feet and looked at Ayden.

"Sorry about that, long day and low blood sugar," she said, lying about the cause of her fainting. She wasn't very good at disguising the truth though the actual cause was probably still a mystery to anyone except Beth. For a few moments she closed her eyes and prepared herself to face the blood before opening them again and taking over from Ayden. Beth was still looking very pale and a little unsteady on her feet but at least this time she was staying on her feet.

"I-I'm g-going to have to just d-dress this for the moment but I am going to have to do a skin graft later to cover the bone." Beth said, sounding more confident as the sentence progressed.

"I'm sorry Bosch but unless I can get you to a facility where we can integrate artificial fingers that is the best I can do for you," Beth said, managing to sound both apologetic and distressed that she couldn't do more.

Cargo bay

Ian helped with the explosive arrangement then moved to the ship's comm.

"All Hands. This is the Captain. All none essential personnel will report to the Galiano. Those that are not injured and are able will be among them. Those that are injured need to stay in the med bay or in your cabin. The ship will be depressurized and the trunk to the Firefly will be blown exposing the Cargo bay to the Black. Once repairs are made, we will rendezvous and pick you back up. Sonya, you'll be at the helm, Jasper, Bosch, Syl, and all Galiano personnel should leave now. Beth, I'll need you to stay. That is all.

He looked to Syl.

"No arguments. You're hurt and I need you whole. Take the prisoner with you and ask him some questions. If he doesn't answer the first time, ask nicely the second time."

He paused a moment

"If that dont work ..... Use a bigger torch."

Rex Yangtree offered to help, "I've got vacc suit experience Captain Dugan, if you need me." a pause. "Alliance Fleet Marines." he said, a little unsure how that might go over on this crew of independents, or rebels.

...
Sonya, "I got it Ian."

...
Bosch just harrumphed. "Maybe I can grow them back." she looked at her fingers. Then looked at Beth. "Joking." and a sort of creepy smile.

"Acknowledged, Captain," Beth responded over comm. Her frown deepened as the full implication of Ian's order sank in. She wasn't afraid for herself, she trusted Ian on that score; it was the separation from Sylandra and the consequence that their fates would be delinked for an indeterminate time that worried her.

"Bosch, we'll have to attend to this later," she said, finishing off re-bandaging Bosch's hand and doing her best to ignore Bosch's creepy smile. She was glad that Ian had ordered her off the ship too; she wasn't sure she wanted to be left alone with her.

"Okay, you can depart now, Bosch" she said and turned her attention back to Mike. He looked to be comfortable and not in need of constant monitoring beyond the basic monitoring equipment that he was already hooked up to. "I am going to shut you in here for now, Mike," she said and gathering up some equipment she felt she might need for Abe she made sure Bosch was out of the medbay and then sealed the door.

A few seconds later she was in the cabin Abe was occupying.

"I've got this now, Ayden," she said. "You can leave with the others." Her tone suggested that she wasn't in a mood to argue. She was in her element and backed herself to take the lead.

As soon as Ayden had departed, she sealed the door of the cabin and pressed the comm button. "Captain. Mike's sealed in the medbay and Abe and I are sealed in cabin four. Ayden and Bosch should be on their way to Galliano now," she said, surprising herself with how calm she sounded. "You almost sound like you know what you're doing, Bethany," she thought and uttered a little, ironic laugh.

Cargo Bay - Glory

Ian turned to Rex.

"Suit up. I'll be a few minutes getting things ready."

While Ian waited for everyone to get to a safe location he remotely secured, locked and pressured cabins and work shops. Then he moved over to the lockers and took out one of the suits and put it one. He checked over Rex's suit and waited while Rex checked over his. When he got the thumbs up from Rex, Ian picked up the remote detonator and backed to the control board. He activated the Cargo bay Decompression Cycle and started sucking gas into the ship's reserve tanks.

He pulled half the gas from the Firefly before his tanks read full. He tethered himself to the bulkhead, waited for Rex to do the same and activated his comm.

"Galiano, you'd best detach. Sonya, once this goes, pull us away. We need to get some distance. Rex and I will secure the hatch."

He waited until he got a reply from both and felt the tale tall thump and clang of a ship disengaging before he thumbed the switch and blew the catwalk away. The rest of the air in the Glory was sucked through the hole. The air became a hurricane, sucking what ever wasn't tied down out into the Black. Soon the wind died down to nothing and Ian was able to move.

He walked over to the console and turned down the gravity in the cargo bay as frost settled over the content. It made things easier to move with the gravity down. They still had light and power. Just no air and only internal heat.

Ian got the work welding the plate over the hole their had knocked into his home.

Mike wanted to get up, but he really had settled and the second he put pressure on himself to move he was reminded of his wound.
Beth

"I am going to shut you in here for now, Mike,"
"Oh of course I have to stay," he remarked sarcastically. The day he decides to get off, he's burdened with a condition to stay. Very quickly he was left on his own in the med bay.

A sigh was released. "You've seen people get tossed around here Mike." He knew what he had to do. Enduring pain for the last time, he winched himself up into a chair to strap in. It felt like his last drop of energy. Adrenaline from the collision with Dugan was wearing off. Not being conscious was a very appealing concept.

He looked down and saw the bandage turning red at his side. He knew a lot of doctors that would have chastised him for pushing himself. Trina was one. That memory didn't help.

Becker reached out for the nearest cloth or material at hand and pressed it to the wound, then strapped in. A bumpy ride wasn't going to be comfortable, but it would be more comfortable than an unsecured bumpy ride.

A mix of sound and vibration swept through the ship as Ian did whatever it was that he was doing. Somehow Mike had expected more. What they entered into next was silence. Almost blissfully so. Especially for a man who was finally passing out.

AYDEN

Ayden was relieved when Beth managed to get back up to her feet. The woman wasn't looking real good, but she seemed to be steady enough. She was about to ask what had happened when Beth beat her to the punch.

"Sorry about that, long day and low blood sugar,"

Ayden eyed her carefully, trying to decide if she was OK.

"There are bound to be some sugar tabs somewhere around here," she suggested. "You probably know where they are more than me. Take some. Medic's orders."

Ayden then left to check on the pneumothorax girl. Boy could she tell that she would be one spitfire if she was trying to get up again. Hopefully she had heard her suggestion that she stay put.

As she passed into the cargo bay, she saw Rex standing there.

"I've got vacc suit experience Captain Dugan, if you need me."

A vacc suit? Like for outside? Like for dealing with the explosives on the ship? Like an easy way to get yourself killed? Ayden shot him a worried look. She knew he wouldn't be persuaded away from helping though, so she didn't try she just hoped that he would be OK.

"Alliance Fleet Marines."

As she walked towards Cabin 4, she couldn't help but smile. He was a marine when they had first met. At a military ball. Boy did he fill out a uniform...

ABE

As she was trying to stand up, Abe was thinking over what she had heard the medic say to her a few moments ago.

"Don't know what your name is right now, but I can't deal with another critical injury right now. Stay put or I will have someone come and make you stay put."

Make her stay put? That was rude. What was she going to do? Come and sit on her? Sure it would probably work right now, but she had her boys and they could be rather persuasive. Then she heard Ian speaking about decompressing the ship and blowing the explosives that were linking the two ships together. This was a bad day. She managed to roll onto her side, which was an improvement.

She also figured that she was about to be moved to the Galiano. Surely she wasn't that infirmed that she had to get sealed into a mere cabin. Could they even hold pressure? Then the medic lady came in. Abe scowled at her and stared her down, daring her to try to move her back to a more 'comfortable' position. Luckily the woman backed off. She probably saw Dude at her side and wanted to stay without holes in her. As Abe tried to survey how she should next try to get up, Ayden checked the vacuum unit.

"All OK out there?" Abe asked. "Beth OK?"

Then she heard Ian speak through the ship wide comm.

Abe frowned. Ian mentioned every other person on the ship but her. Maybe it was just an out of sight out of mind kind of thing? Then she couldn't get past what that might mean. She was probably being silly or still off balance from the lack of air or something. He was always on her mind, even when she was shot and couldn't breathe. She gave up and rolled onto her back again.

Then she heard him on the regular comm.

"No arguments. You're hurt and I need you whole. Take the prisoner with you and ask him some questions. If he doesn't answer the first time, ask nicely the second time." "If that dont work ..... Use a bigger torch."

He was talking to Syl though. You know... He should probably turn that thing off. But then again, she liked to hear what was going on. If she didn't then she would probably go mad wondering.

Then Beth breezed in. It was good she was OK.

"I've got this now, Ayden," "You can leave with the others."

Ayden graciously got up and left, heading towards the Galiano. Good. Abe wasn't forming a first good impression of her. She then watched as Beth sealed up the door.

"Captain. Mike's sealed in the medbay and Abe and I are sealed in cabin four. Ayden and Bosch should be on their way to Galliano now,"

Abe missed Beth's small laugh, lost in her own thoughts.

"Well at least I know that I am not non-essential personnel," she said as she relaxed enough on the floor to let the machine do its work. "I'm just injured is all."

But so was Syl.

And why was she feeling so jealous at the moment? The rise in panic was beginning to fill her again. The one that she felt when she had left Ian so long ago. Woke up from a really good night, accidentally said those three little words, got scared and bolted within a couple of hours.

Maybe staying was a bad idea. Maybe going slow was a bad idea too.

Abe covered her eyes with her arm. She felt horrible. They had just been attacked. People had gotten injured, including herself. They were about to set off some explosives to get themselves free. Ian and Mike were fighting. It was a real mess and all she could think about was Ian and how she felt.

How selfish can she be? How juvenile? But then again, she didn't have anything else to think on. Worse yet, now all she could think about was whether or not she was needed here.

Was she really contemplating bolting again?

"How long until this heals up?" she asked Beth. She needed to know how long she had to think and to decide what she should do.

Hopefully no one else could see the little green monster inside her.

"What are you doing down there on the deck, you should be in the bunk, young lady," Beth admonished.

"But you had better stay there until after Ian deals with the explosives; I don't want to be in the middle of moving you when the ship wobbles," she continued.

She moved awkwardly around the cabin, there being little room and opened a few lockers before she found what she wanted. "We'll tuck these around you," Beth said, wadding blankets and sheets around Abe to protect her from the harder and sharper bits of the cabin.

In the end it was an anticlimax, the only indication that something had happened being a tremor that ran through the ship. Beth waited for a few minutes, trying to keep her focus on the woman in front of her and not Sylandra. Finally satisfied that it was safe to move she helped Abe up on to the bunk and made sure that she was properly settled.

Abe said: "How long until this heals up?"

"That all depends on how well you behave yourself," Beth said but smiled to take the sting out of the words. "I would like to leave the vacuum on for twenty-four hours and then bed-rest for another forty-eight to seventy-two hours and minimal exertion for a week. I know that is not what you want to hear but we need to make sure the lung reattaches itself to the chest wall properly otherwise you will be weak in that lung and prone to relapses."

She smiled at Abe, adding, "And no sparring with your boyfriend for at least a fortnight, dong ma?"

Sylandra grunted in affirmation as she backed out of the hatchway. She slung her bag, drew her pistol and approached the hostage. Tapping her foot against his, she determined he was still unconscious, but wary of any surprise move he might make, she took precaution in her distance to him. She slipped her pistol sling over her shoulder, letting the weapon dangle free while she undid first one band and then the other. Twisting the man's free arm around, she trapped it under her knee while securing his wrist to his opposing ankle. His dislocated arm she left free. If he was desperate enough to try something with that, she would just relieve him of the arm altogether.

She secured a second rope to his right ankle, and proceeded to drag him, flopping, by his leg to the opposite side of the cargo bay, where Galiano was docked. He was heavy, but she managed to get him half way across before another man appeared in Galiano's hatchway. He hurried over and grabbed the man by the secured hand/ankle and helped pull.

"Hey, I'm William. Cap't of the Galiano. Caught Ian's broadcast and figured I'd help. Let's get this goon to a safe lockup. My, what did you do to him?"

"Syl. Had t' improvise my defense. Dislocated his shoulder, and now he's hog tied. You good at intrero? I'm hopin' I don't have t' get too messy. Always a pain cleanin' afterward."

Everything went according to plan.

The Firefly was discarded. Glory and Galiano moved a thousand kilometers away, paused to link up.

Twenty minutes later the Firefly silently exploded in the distance.

The repairs on the Glory door were completed just after, a couple test to make sure the make shift repair held. It did.

After what seemed like an eternity, Ian and Rex finished the patch. It tested fine ... once all the leaks were found and welded shut. Ian surveyed his work ...

The bigger the glob ..... The better the job....., he thought with a rye smile.

He looked over at Rex and nodded. He moved to the console and began to pressurize the Glory. In a matter of moments the board showed all green and he took off his helmet and breathed the fresh air of the ship. The Bacta System always had a sweet tang to it that you didn't find on other ships. That and the algae in the tanks thrived on Methane, so there was never a chance of having to breathing recycled farts.

He took off the suit and paused in putting it away. He reached out and shook Rex's hand.

"We ... I couldn't have done this with out your help, Rex. your's and the Galiano. If there is ever a time you need us, just call."

He moved back to the console and unlocked the rooms. He thumbed the All Comm

"All Hands, The patch was a success. Sonya, please Rendezvous with the Galiano to pick up our wayward crew. Beth, please check up on Mike. Abe ... "

He thumbed off the All Comm and moved across the Bay to Cabin Four, opened it and poked his head in.

"... you should know that you are the most essential person in my like. ... Ear buds work in both directions."

It had been a long day for all of them. A long week. They had come from blowing up the Cortex 2.0 facility to Sabotage on the Glory to an all out battle in their own home. It was beginning to show. Ian's face was paler than usual and the scar seemed more livid. Even thought the suits kept the temperature comfortable, the exertion of the day showed in his matted hair and the sweat dripping down his face.

AYDEN - GALIANO

Ayden took care of Bosch as well as she could. She really wasn't trained for the depth of skill needed to do much more than stop the bleeding, put a temporary weave on the wound and give pain medication. She was no surgeon after all. Sure she could probably fish a bullet out of someone, but this was beyond her skill set.

"Are you in much discomfort? Do you need a little more for the pain?" she asked the woman in her Med Bay. "Or I could make you something to eat? I am a trained chef first and foremost."

She smiled at her, trying to reassure her somehow.

"Yeah, if you wanted me to somehow fix a complicated recipe? That I could do," she mumbled. "So would you like anything?"

She leaned out the door to anyone else who might be nearby.

"Would anyone want anything to eat?"

She needed something else to do; just staring at a woman who just had her fingers removed from her hand in a horrific way was not doing the trick. She needed to lose herself. She needed to cook.

Otherwise, she'd be worrying about Rex. He was basically in a suit in the vacuum of space. Things can go wrong with that, especially since there was some kind of welding implement used as well.

God... This whole waiting thing was ridiculously nerve shattering.

ABE - GLORY

Abe sat there with Beth. Well, really, she just laid there on the floor with Beth.

"What are you doing down there on the deck, you should be in the bunk, young lady,"

She briefly wondered if she had been on the floor before she roused herself up to check on Ian. If she was, why did she go for the floor instead of the bed?

"But you had better stay there until after Ian deals with the explosives; I don't want to be in the middle of moving you when the ship wobbles,"

Abe figured that was a pretty good idea, seeing as it could possibly go horribly wrong in the end if the explosives didn't detonate the way they wanted them to. SO she was a good patient and grunted in pain only a couple of times as Beth padded the area on her sides to cushion some of the blow.

"Make sure you get yourself cinched down as well," Abe asked the doctor.

In the end, the actually event was less than memorable. That was good though. That means things went well. Unless everyone in the cargo bay just simply got sucked into the black. The thought of that happening made her kind of nauseous. The next part was slightly uncomfortable. Beth managed to get her up on a bed. After the initial agony, it actually made things much more comfy. Then Beth went along with telling her the time it would take her to heal up.

"That all depends on how well you behave yourself,"

Abe couldn't help but smirk at that comment. She wasn't known for doing what she was supposed to, but she knew that it was probably a time where she needed to be a good girl.

Lovely. A whole lot of laying around then on to sitting around. Which was going to make her crazy.

"And no sparring with your boyfriend for at least a fortnight, dong ma?"

What did that mean?

"Well, duh. If I can't do anything but sit around, why would I try to spar with Ian? He actually punches really hard you know. Not that I haven't got my shots in as well," Abe told her. She actually enjoyed the nearly full on sparring matches they had. They didn't pull punches much and he had taught her a lot about fighting extremely quick when they did it. They both must be masochists to put themselves through that, but it didn't change the fact that it was fun. "And what the good gorram is a fortnight?"

It registered that Beth had called Ian her 'boyfriend.' It made her smile.

Then she heard the ship wide comm.

"All Hands, The patch was a success. Sonya, please Rendezvous with the Galiano to pick up our wayward crew. Beth, please check up on Mike. Abe ... "

It was good to hear his voice. That they were OK was a second bonus. But it was the way he trailed off on her name that was strange. What did that mean? Her mind briefly wandered to whether or not she had yet decided to stay on board of Glory when they hit dirtside.

What she wasn't expecting was to have the door opened and Ian stick his head in.

"... you should know that you are the most essential person in my life. ... Ear buds work in both directions."

She blushed deeply, forgetting that since she could hear everything around him, he could do the same with her. He had heard the comment she had said earlier.

Thank God she hadn't said anything about leaving out loud. She wasn't going to now. She couldn't. She loved him and she knew where his head was too.

"Love you too, Capt'n," she said in return.

Then she studied his face. He looked pale and haggard. He needed a rest, but she knew he would probably move on in order check on everyone and everything. It was the kind of guy he was. OOC: I didn't know if Ian actually left or not, so the rest of the post can be played either way.

The thought about perhaps taking her bed rest with him in his bunk lightened her mood too. Then she got the sudden inkling that 'sparring' might not have been of the fighting kind. Beth might have been thinking of some other activity. She motioned for Beth to come closer and muted her comm for a second.

"Deep breathing exercises? What can I start those? Wouldn't that be a kind of therapy?" she asked in a whisper so no one else could hear her.

All she knew was that this going slow thing was going to kill her.

"Will be on the way in a minute, Captain," Beth said, after he had poked his head in the door and addressed Abe. "Just need to encourage this young woman to take it easy."

Abe whispered: "Deep breathing exercises? What can I start those? Wouldn't that be a kind of therapy?"

"Not for a little while, I'm sorry," Beth replied as quietly as Abe so that only Abe could hear; she was not sure whether to be apologetic or embarrassed. Both were uncomfortable and both caused her face to colour a little. "And when you do, it needs to be controlled deep breathing," she cautioned.

"If you need me, call me, don't try to get out of bed; we will move you to your cabin when we can," she added in a normal voice.

"I need to check on Mike,' she said as a way of escaping as well as because she did need to check up on Mike. "Captain, do you have a moment to keep an eye on Abe? The unit should page me but a human backup never hurts, particularly for the first hour or so."

And with that she fled back to the Infirmary where she hoped that she would be on safer ground with Mike.

"Mike, if I knew you were going to move I wouldn't have left your hands free," she admonished. "And you had better let me have a look at that wound," she added, undoing the belt holding him into the seat.

"There will be blood, get over it. There will be blood, get over it," she intoned mentally. Fainting for a second time would be terribly bad form, especially as she wanted to ensure Mike was okay and then find Sylandra. It did seem only fair that Sylandra should get some proper attention and that it should be herself that provided it.

"Do you think you can get back on to the table or do I need to find a strong orderly?" she asked him while using the remote to lower the examination table down to the same level as the seat.

Becker had faintly been in the verge of being beyond reach, but Beth jolted him from that. He could have sworn he was having the most marvelous dream... but about what, he had no idea.

"Mike, if I knew you were going to move I wouldn't have left your hands free,"

Mike raised his eyebrows, picturing what condition she would have left him. "All I heard was 'bomb.' Thought we were really gonna shake."

"Do you think you can get back on to the table or do I need to find a strong orderly?"

Mike gave a long sigh. "This is the last one. I'm not moving again after this." He looked at Beth, stressing his point. This was now his dwelling spot until he was comfortable walking out of med bay. A long breath was drawn and he psyched himself up. Then he raised, and slid over to the table. "Son of a... Son of a..." Somehow, he couldn't swear in front of Beth. Once on the table, he span on the spot then lay down again. "That really hurt for what it's worth." He sighed again, relishing the fact that the pain was subsiding.

"Miss Not-Our-Doc was light on answers. Kinda grumpy too. How long will this take to mend?"

Mike said: "That really hurt for what it's worth."

"I'm sorry," Beth apologised, clearly distressed at not having helped as much as she thought she could have. "Lie down now and I will have a look at that."

"It's just blood, it's just blood and it's not arterial," Beth reminded herself.

Mike said: "Miss Not-Our-Doc was light on answers. Kinda grumpy too. How long will this take to mend?"

"I can be grumpy," Beth responded, totally without conviction. "It depends on how well-behaved you are," she continued while she carefully removed the material and bandages that had been applied. "And it would seem that you have been misbehaving," she continued, trying to sound stern and failing miserably.

The 'not-our-doctor' had done a good job of the bandaging but moving about had opened the wound again, front and back.

"When you are ready we will roll you carefully on to your uninjured side, " Beth said. It would be easier to treat both entry and exit at the same time rather than trying to do the front then the back. "Ready?"

Beth helped roll Mike over and set about applying a local anaesthetic and then tidying up the holes. Finally she bandaged Mike up. "Best if you can stay on your side. I'll get someone to help wheel you through to your cabin and get you into your bunk. Any last requests before I condemn you to your bunk for twenty-four hours?" Beth asked, her tone gently teasing.

Ian had actually not stayed in the room but left almost right away. He still had to check on Sonya and the Bridge and did not hear Beth's request for him to stay with Abe. He would have if he had heard her.

As it was he opened the first door to the passage to the Bridge and passed through the area between the pilots and XO's cabins. he stopped at the closed door to the Bridge and pressed in his code on the plate by the door. The light turned from red to Green and he pressed the momentary button on the comm unit.

"It's me, Sonya."

He let go of the button and opened the door and stepped into the Bridge. There were cables everywhere. Equipment cabinets were open and throughout the room. Ian could see the work the all had done, from Reese to Siobhán.

He would get to the bottom of this

"How's it shakin, Lov."

He paused and looked down at the floor.

"We sure have come a long way from 'Capt'n Naked on the Bridge', huh. How are you holdin up?"

They really hadn't talked much since the Zigguraut and Greenleaf.

Jasper Daltry snored lightly.

Bosch sat quietly, eyes moving from person to person, deep in thought. Or study.

Rex Yangtree put away the vacc suit and found Ayden, slipped an arm around her. "What's up Doc?" After a brief kiss, he offered to help her in the kitchen. "I'm sure I can be of some use, stirring something..." he smiled at her, making the comment slightly suggestive.

"Break some eggs maybe?"

After linking up again with Galiano,

Sonya had been running through the diagnostics, Glory was running. Barely. The boat was a patchwork of cables and rewiring, none of which was logged. The repairs to be made were difficult to prioritize without knowing just what and how it was repaired.

Ian announced himself, a good practice he employed when hostilities were occuring, or even just after. She turned to look at him and then smiled at the captain'naked remark.

"sunshiny." she said. There hadn't been much difficulty in her part of things, though being familiar with Glory to free up Sylandra had been fortunate. Flying Glory with all Ian's little security quirks could be a feat for someone that wasn't authorized.

"very sunshiny." she reached to her bag and handed over a capture device loaded with images of Ian Junior. Sonya considered sharing her thoughts about their child, but held herself. Something needed to be said to Siobhan first. Would she want what she was thinking?

"speakin' of which, you see a little sunny leprecahn anywhere? She'n your mechanic prolly need to get work on some of this duct tape and bailing wire repairs.?
Knowing her lover not long, she still realized that Siobhan was probably already doing just that. Or itching to, Sonya was itching too. To see her, just for a moment.

No one was dead, and nothing about her being hurt. But seeing is better.
And more that seeing would be double better.

Her eyes wandered around the bridge. "You really need to get a maid or something."

"It depends on how well-behaved you are,"

Mike gave up. Energy seeped from him and his body went leap against the table. "That's another way of not telling me." He blew out air as he was left in this waiting game the doctors were imposing on him.

In a get it over and done with fashion, Mike rolled onto his side and let Beth get on with it. He was left fed up, only to stew on his thoughts as she patched him up. Renwick, Dugan, Bosch. The whole thing was a mess. But it was a little past that now. It was about Glory. It was his home, but was it the home he wanted?

"Any last requests before I condemn you to your bunk for twenty-four hours?"

"You got anything that'll let me take another run at the past five years." As usual, saying it out loud made him realise how overly dramatic he was. Somewhat. "Forget I said that."

"Just..." With the blood he had lost, he should have passed out long ago. Somehow he'd fought through it, but he'd be happy to reach his bunk and concede to the feeling.
