So I watched the new Mad Max movie last week on opening night and I've been thinking about it a lot. Really interested to see what others might think, being an Australian. I don't feel like our media gets out very often so it's interesting for this franchise to be jump started with such a block buster.

For me, it was ridiculous. But, in that, it stayed true to what the series was about when Miller started it all those decades ago. It was well made, though lacking good dialogue and a meaningful plot as only action movies can.

Over all, weighing up what it was and what it was meant to be, I'm pretty happy with it. Keen to know what others think though, if anyone's seen it.

The originals were pretty bad. I mean, Road Warrior (Mad Max 2) is what set the scene for a hell of a lot of post-apocalyptic fiction, but they weren't amazing movies. In fact I don't think I would ever go back to rewatch 1 or 3. 2 is where it's at!

I dig the over acting of Toe Cutters gang. I love the Road Warrior but I don't have it currently.

I've always like the original Mad Max.
The ideal B/cheap/drive-in made movie.

Max Max has only recently been brought to my attention, and as a lover of post apocalyptic settings in all forms, I immediately fell in love.

You say ridiculous PMD, I say character :)

I also have to admit that the gyrocopter pilot from Mad Max 2 was a pretty big influence on Zeke
