Lighthouse Keeper

A few heads turned when they heard the ominous clink-clink of a chain. It was the kind of sound one would associate with a fugitive - you know, the type they had around their ankles, some poor damned soul shuffling along, confined by his cuffs - and that was enough to pique curiosity. When folk saw the rifle, however, and the woman carrying it on her back, they were quick enough to return to their drinks, wide eyed.

It was midday in Canyons Head, a small backwater slum of Deadwood, and Skarlet was only a few hours off her flight. Exhausted, feeling sweaty and dirty, this one had been a tough one. The young lady had come a long way, across multiple planets and with much unneeded blood on her hands (though, since when did that bother her?) to get to such a dank place for the climax. That aside, though, she was happy enough to finally arrive - this was a big one.

The bar was typical for this kind of locale - quiet, grimy, barely lit at all and with that peculiar smell of infused sweat and blood and alcohol. The man at the bar never stopped staring at Skarlet from the moment she entered, chewing methodically at some gum and examining every detail of the new arrival. He was a large man, stained shirt and all, a balding head showing his true years and a crooked nose that proved he wasn't one to take shit in his establishment.

"And what'll you be having this afternoon?" He ignored the rifle - everyone always did - as the young lady approached.

Skarlet may have agreed to travel with this group, but being couped up was not good for the traumatized woman. Lucky for her she had a private room, as none of the crew members were aware that she had been suffering from dreadful night terrors. She had awoken multiple times screaming, the image of Isaac's face burned into her retina as the ghoul from her took his revenge upon Skarlet. The lack of sleep was obvious on her face as she ghosted down the hallways towards her prise. The voice in her head were practialy a cacophony, an open debate being waged within her own head. "You don't have to do this." Finally alone she could openly talk to her voices, "Yes I do," With that response there was harsh laughter, "Finally, why should they force you to play nice. They promised you blood and yet they weren't going to let you have some real fun." She smiled in agreement, not her usual demented smirk, she was going to enjoy this.

She looked down at the small bundle in her hand, she had stopped by the ship's medical bay and had procured quite the collection of scalpels, plans already running through her head to what she was going to do. It didn't take her much to get through the lock to the cell. However when she opened the door she saw herself on the other side, her hand on the door, just like a kind hostess welcoming her in.

"He's been waiting long enough"

Skarlet stepped inside of the cell, turning to close the door and lock it from the inside to hopefully prevent any interruptions. Julian was still handcuffed behind his back, he was currently sleeping as he leaned against the wall of the cell. Which is perfect, there wouldn't be much he could do to stop Skalet. She circled him with a few steps before she planted her foot on his face to wake him up. He pitched over swearing as he looked up to Skarlet. "Surprise." She crouched down to look closer at him, "I told you that it would end like this. A cells too good for you." She laid down the bundle, unrolling it to reveal several of her knives as she revealed her own butterfly knife, flipping it open. "Do you remember a little girl that you kidnapped. How many times did she ask for you to just kill her like you did her family?" She made a gun with her finger, her thumb flicking down as she made a clicking noise, "Just pull the trigger for her because she couldn't do it herself hmm?" Her she held the blade up as she inspected it's sharpness before she looked at Julian, "I want to remember her name."

The dead silence of the ship's halls meant that everyone would be able to hear Julain's screaming.

Julian "Rattlesnake" snorted as Skarlet kicked him awake. He stared up at her and a greasy grin cracked through his tangled beard and slobber ran down his chin. One eye twitched as if he were trying to wink, but couldn't quite get the eyelid to work.

"Hey, 'dere, good lookin'. Whatcha gone all bad ass on me fer? Certainly nuthin' I done that long 'go can't still be steamin' your pipe now days. Heck, can't even remember none o' what you sayin' I done. Sure ya' ain't got me confused with m' brother? "
But my heart is not weary, it's light and it's free I've got nothing but affection for all those who sailed with me
Stick with me baby, stick with me anyhow. Things should start to get interestin' right about now

Julians words did nothing to calm Skarlet. Did he really think that the demented woman would simply walk away from his plea for ignorance? He worked alongside Isaac and Skarlet for long enough to know what he did to her, and what she did to the people that Isaac let her butcher for her pleasure. She dragged her knife across his cheek, drawing blood before she spoke.

"You really think that I'd believe that bullshit Julian? You were there when they took me. And well... you helped turn me into a monster, I've been waiting too long for this." The streak of blood seemed to set off something in Skarlet, and she quickly began to slice into him more and more. If he wasn't going to, or could remember her name then she was going to make him suffer plenty for the bad blood between her former crewmate. She reached behind him, digging her blade into his middle finger. Skarlet held it up for a moment, the gore soaking her hand didn't seem to trouble her. But she simply tossed it aside, she would need that for later. She held up her hand, the chain attaching her to her heavy rifle rattling, "Now you wouldn't remember how to get rid of this little number would you... or you still think that you have a twin running about with the same name hmm?" Her other hand now had a scalpel, and was hovering very close to the one eye that was still open.
