Sonya took a breath, a pause, mostly just mumbled now. "Everything? like everyone he means, joe and jane blowhard making money for little jane and joe?" Wasn't that an old folk song from the *90s, back when she was in school?

The ladder was getting very difficult. Gulliver's limbs trembled with each step and pull up. Her voice creaked shrilly, "gotta get a ship with fuel this time maybe? you think about that before last time Ian?"

On the other hand, . . after all they fixed her up. Made her whole again.
'ian?'
Sonya had seen the pictures, she was broken, dead. obviously not dead, no one can... Corso was. She'd seen that. Corso was dead, big huge bullet holes in him. That was dead. And now he wasn't. So why would they fix her up? What harm would it do to surrender and find out what had they already done to her? How bad? How bad could it be?

Right.

"Just shoot the alliance maybe, anyone shooting at them might want to go with us."

Elevator Shaft

While climbing the ladder, Corso looked back at Sonya. "Say.. What happened to my ship anyways? The Red Dawn. I can't wait to get back to it." He looked back up as he continued to climb the ladder, feeling a little pain in his shoulder.

Elevator Shaft

"Uhm." Were they almost there?
"I don't know, I think I forgot."
There wasn't anything there. She'd been flying... it. Or so she thought, assumed it was this Red Dawn. But like so many of the memories that seemed just beyond reach. This one, didn't seem anywhere inside her head.

'Nothing' heh, 'nothing inside my head' just a throbbing as each muscle pulled and pushed.

Karyn leaned into the elevator shaft, pointing to the ladder on the side. "Next level down is Med Bay. Below that, Docking, then Detention. Don't go up; that's officer's level. "

Travis turned suddenly and raised an eyebrow toward the approaching, and apparently surrendering, Karyn. "Purplebellies, they're either shooting at or surprising you, and either way, it's never good." He looked sideways to Ian, considering the situation as a whole for a moment, then back to Karyn. Why the hell was a ranking Colonel helping out some ship's Captain and two guns for hire that she'd only just met? It didn't sit well. It didn't make sense, at least not him. TK sighed, glancing down at the PDA on his belt, mind rolling with the new orders and how else they might be achieved.

"Appreciate the offer, Colonel." he replied with a fresh grin, eyes wide with new ideas. "Tell me, where exactly would I find the nearest armory?"

((OOC) Not sure if Ian would see Sonya, but if so, they could see him, I suppose)

Ian nodded then stepped into the Elevator shaft, grabbed the ladder and started climbing down. He saw the back of the other elevators in the shaft for the other side of the wing. It reminded him of his first meeting with Beth, so long ago. A way station was about to blow...

The Gas-N-Guzzle, he thought.

They had to climb down a series of ladders to get to the docking ring and move a ship outside or it would over heat and explode, blowing up the station.

Beth was with him the whole way.

He would have married her had she not been taken from the Glory, so long ago.

Still on the ladder, he stepped to the doorway and tried to pry the doors open with his knife in the center.

"I'm open to suggestions on getting the door open if not the tried and true, manual method." he shouted back up

A small unmarked winged craft approached the Alliance Cruiser. Aboard the Bridge, a young Lieutenant looked at Commander Maru. "They are here Commander." The Commander for the first time in career seemed nervous. He nodded slowly. "Prepare to receive them." The Lieutenant got on the comm with docking bay 13 to advise them of the situation.

The small crafted entered into Bay 13 and slowly landed on the platform with it's now extended landing gear. The bay doors shut as the airlock was sealed. The red light turned green above the bay door, indicating a good seal. An engineering team connected a hose to refuel the ship and began to service it. The rear hatch of the ship slowly opened as two men in suits and blue gloves entered into the bay. As soon as they entered they were greeted by a male Captain in a sharply dressed uniformed and escorted to the Bridge.

After he showed the vials, Sonya stepped forward with a hand out, Remy hesitated as to whether to give it to her, half because of what had been said about them, the other half in case, she was a ghost and it passed straight through her. Remy eventually put one in her hand, his bag wasn't full of them, but he had a few.

It seems that when they stole the ship, they stole the wrong one, as it seemed to have led to them being labelled terrorists. So if the whole escaping from jail thing wasn't enough, they were also terrorists.

Remy could feel the anger coming from Biff, even if it wasn't for his natural empathy which he had gained through his companion training it was obvious that he was hurt. In this brief moment of respite, Biff would have a moment to realise what had happened, and it would hit him, maybe it was best for them to move, keep his mind occupied with something else?

Corso told him to destroy the vials, Remy couldnt agree more, but at the same time, he had a curiosity about them now. What made those vials such a commodity as to make people out to be terrorists?

Biff came up with a plan, it would mean that Remy and Jenna would be going off on their own. It felt weird not being with Biff, the three of them had been together for so long, and to be honest, Remy didn't feel confident enough to do this with just Jenna, maybe Jenna felt confident in her set of skills, but Remy didn't. But its what Biff had said, so... He'd go with it.

Remy listened to Sonya, at first it seemed like the ravings of a mad woman, and sounded completely alien to him, until he realised she was telling him where to go, and what to do.

Remy then followed the rest, waiting for his time to separate from the rest, and dreading it.

Gose.

Swiftly running out of options, Khei did the only thing she could think of. She grabbed for the nearest sheet and draped it over the breathing man, leaving his head and shoulders visible as she'd seen nurses do before, and started pushing the gurney into the previous room and toward the exit in haste.

Trina's eyes widened a little at Dom's words and she glanced down at the small view screen again for a split second. Looking back to Dom, she felt a little panic rise in her. "Dom... what are you doing?" She whispered, though there probably wasn't much need to, being on the opposite side of the metal doors.

"Taunting them? They have guns trained on Mike..." She'd seen Dom do this once before, though she hadn't exactly been this personally involved as she was now. There was a faint hint of disbelief and shock in her tone, but the overwhelming emotion was bordering on panic. Tears still glistened in her eyes and her hand still hovered over the control to open the door.

The only thing she didn't find objectionable in what Dom was doing was that he seemed to be working towards keeping them from getting shot. Even so, she wished he wasn't taunting those who were in the position to shoot Mike.

Khei

Khei was able to push the gurney with the unconscious captain out of the room and past a squad of Security Officers who ran past her and into the room. She made it to a nearby elevator undetected.

Elevator Shaft

Corso reached the docking bay level in the elevator shaft and pulled a combat knife from his boot. He used the knife and slowly pried open the elevator door, holding it in place by propping his knife in the door track. He slowly rose his head through the open door and saw multiple Alliance Airtanks and his fathers ship, Glory. Gorram. What is it doing here.. Corso also saw a squad of Security Officers pointing their rifles at the cargo doors of Glory. One of them had a rifle pointed at the head of a man who was on his knees. Corso whispered down the shaft loudly. "Change of plans. I found a ship. We are taking it back. Someone give me a smoke grenade.."

Khei jabbed at the button, her heartbeat drumming in her ears. She thought she could recall the path back toward the ship from memory and backtracking and could only hope she wouldn't be discovered in the process.

Meanwhile, she kept a lookout for any sign of a room where she might be able to find a wheelchair and a robe for the captain. After all, wheeling a comatose man toward a ship would be much less suspicious than a naked man, under a sheet, on a gurney.

Khei passed by several rooms in the infirmary wing. One room did have a wheel chair and a robe available. Khei could heard radio transmissions down the hallway.

Biff heard from his position last on the ladder Corso's words.
Corso

"Change of plans. I found a ship. We are taking it back. Someone give me a smoke grenade.."
Biff sighed a sigh of relief. He dread the idea of sending Remy and Jenna out on their own. He hated the thought of them not having his back yet it seems that the big man has stumbled on something on his own. They'd go with it for now but if it didn't pan out then they did have his plan to fall back on.

Biff used the two smoke grenades he picked up in the detention hallway. He whispered up to Jenna, "Jenna, pass a smoke grenade up top if you would. I'm out."

Biff let his new found hatred for Edgecombe pass over him like a river. His only concern was getting his friends to safety. Edgecombe could atone for his sins at a later date. Biff's mind wasn't on revenge but on life. The change made him smile on the inside.

Sonya tried to roll her eyes at the request for grenades. "In my other stolen jacket", she muttered." then dragged herself up the last few rungs of the ladder beside Corso and peeped over through the doors. Sonya squinted, "Becker."

"I could..." she started to slide her rifle up. But there was no way should could make a kill shot like that, not in her present condition. "Rut." Gulliver looked down the ladder at the others. Felt like retching for a moment. Suppressed it with a swallow. What one did for short term aquaintences.

After one more look she moved off to the side of the ladder and sighed. "There's a steam vent, heat release for ships docked, helps clean off the grit too. Valve is just to our right if you can squeeze through those crates without being seen."

Gulliver tried to wedged herself against the wall of the shaft in case she slipped out of consciousness. Things were very fuzzy.

Elevator Shaft

Corso looked back while waiting for a smoke grenade. "The second I throw the grenade, hopefully the man on his knees gets out of the way. Because we are going full blast to the ship. The little one should use the distraction to her advantage and make her way to the control tower in the docking bay. It's about 10 flights of stairs. Someone will need to fire on the tower to give her cover so she can program the controls for the bay doors to be set on a timer. That way we can board the ship and are good to go." Corso nodded firmly at Jenna.

Bridge

"You've disappointed me Commander Maru." One of them men in suits and blue gloves spoke with a monotone voice as Maru fell to his knees. Blood was spilling out of his eyes, nose and ears. Maru finally fell to the ground, dead. All the crew of the Bridge laid dead on the ground, blood coming out of them in the same manner as Maru. On the table were several files and pictures of the prisoners that were currently aboard the ship as well as the crew of Glory. The file on top was circled in red. Tobias Hawke.

"It seems the prisoner transfer is a failure. Execute code 47." The other man in the suit and blue gloves nodded as he began to enter information onto the main ship controls while the other placed the glowing device in his hand away.

Biff took a bundle out of his side ruck pocket and handed it to Jenna. "Jenna, Silas tried to give these to you in his apartment and I grabbed them before we were taken." It was a set of throwing knives and Biff saw her eyeing some in the market place after they first met.

Jenna took the bundle from Biff. She opened it and looked at the six new throwing knives. She looked up and Biff.”

“Thanks.” Quickly she tucked the bundle into her bag. “Listen I'm really sorry about Silas. He seemed like a nice guy.”

"Alright we're destined for more guesswork here and that's something we need to stop. Remy, Jenna I want you two to find the harbormaster's office and find some way in.

Jenna nodded her head “Give me a second when we get out of here. I have an idea how Remy and I might be able to get there without being seen.

Suddenly the elevator stopped. Jenna watched as Corso kicked open a hatch at the side of the car. she saw a ladder and watched as the others climbed out and started to move. She climbed out onto the ladder and climbed for a bit when she heard Corso speak.

Quote:

"Our best shot is to go right through the next hatch, blasting everything in sight. Any of you that split, your on your own in a place filled with Cameras." Corso continued to ascend the ladder.

Jenna kept moving. She had and idea but she wasn't sure if Remy would go for it. Suddenly she was brought out of her thought but Corso's voice.

Smiling she stopped and reached into her bag grabbing one of the two grenades that she had taken.

“On it's way up Boss.” She was really glad that they weren’t going to have to split up after all. She handed the grenade up to the people in front of her and waited her turn to get off the ladder.

Elevator Shaft

Corso received the smoke grenade and gripped it firmly in his hands. "Here we go.." He said to himself as he released the pin and tossed it towards the squad of Alliance Security Officers. The Officers coughed and were disoriented from the smoke.

Michael Becker had a chance to save himself while they were distracted. Corso then heaved himself up and rolled onto the docking bay. He got to a knee and shifted his shotgun from around his shoulder and pointed at the grouping of Alliance. He mercilessly opened fire as shells flew everywhere. "Move! Move! Move!" Corso yelled to those coming from the elevator shaft.

Conference Wing

Ian was able to pry open the door in the elevator shaft slightly, but would require further assistance in getting it fully open.

Karyn noticed that Bridge Command hasn't checked her status in a long while. She thought that was unusual.

They suddenly heard gunshots coming from the other side of the elevator shaft doors.

Michael grimaced as he heard Dom start negotiating with favour towards opening up. Considering the killshot he'd barely dodged, it didn't seem wise. There was hope that it was maybe a stalling tactic they could cut their losses and depart. However, the clanking of metal bouncing down the hall behind him distracted from any issue.

Becker was in no position to turn and look, and just rolling his eyes to the side brought pain from his wound. But the sound of a soft explosion that prompted a gun to leave his cheek was surprisingly welcome. Realisation came as smoke did around him and, acting on passion more than smarts, he picked himself up a swung a wide strike at the officer who had been closest to him.

Mike was then hoping to reach down and lay hands on a rifle, but with no certainty. As his mind caught up with him, it made sense that someone casting smoke onto the Alliance were engaging in some kind of feud, one that would get ugly. Becker threw himself to the wall, hoping to find an alcove as cover, then made got as low as he could, not to keen on the idea of seeing another bullet come his way.

She turned to the others, "This woman, Sonya? I read her records. There was some pretty bad things done to her. Not something that I would approve of. There have been incidents that I am not happy about, and now it seems Command is down. This could be our only chance to get out of here. I doubt that we have time to look for an armory."

With that, she swings over the side and drops onto the ladder, and starts scrambling downward. Karyn then helped Ian force the door further open.
