As Anders carried Karyn to the infirmary, she stirred briefly, looking up at his chin and then let her head roll to one side, seeing the corridor slide past. Her arm ached and there was a cold clamminess on her chest. She reached her left hand up and touched the edge of her neck and took her hand away, the crimson sticky on her fingers.

"uh... gotta ... ship have problems... can't stay ...."

She drifted back into a dim gray awareness and fell unconscious again.
But my heart is not weary, it's light and it's free I've got nothing but affection for all those who sailed with me
Stick with me baby, stick with me anyhow. Things should start to get interestin' right about now

Glory had successfully escaped into the black. It had been a long journey. Many wounds and scars that would never heal. She held strong though, for the crew kept her together. After an hour, the ship floated silently in darkness with nothing else in sight. There was no particular heading. Now was a time for healing, for repairing and for planning. They needed to find their Captain.

There acting Captain Michael Becker stood. At the bridge he looked out into the vastness of space with what appeared to be the weight of the verse on his shoulders. But he was not alone. He had his rag-tag crew, and he had Glory.

That's all he needed.
