Sonya stared a moment at the hand that had held Dugan's. "Timer." She said.

Gulliver still stood at the door. She looked up to the control room. "Jenna. One of my . Cell mates" Sonya thought hard on Corso's plan. "Timer on the doors, wait for her . . and . . Biff." She smiled, she liked that name.

Sonya sat the rifle aside. Opened her old locker next to the doors, someone else had things in it She frowned, crammed the magazine pocket filled jacket in to it. A look at the pistol in her left hand. A decision to keep it with her.

Something else. She was supposed to remember.

"Oh yeah. Ian said to give you this." She punched Ian softly on his upper arm. "Tag. You're it." The endless game of punch tag between father and son continued, the rule their own, Sonya just a link in a bond that distance did not hinder.

"So." Sonya looked at Ian. "I guess I'll go to the bridge now."

The Marine Captain raised his sidearm at Karyn as he yelled. "I am not going to tell you again Colonel. You and Dugan are to step forward and get on your knees. You will receive a fair Court Marshal. We trusted you Colonel. We saw the footage of you assisting the terrorists instead of firing upon them. Those hunters also killed our men and you didn't even try to stop them! Then you partner yourself with Dugan who has been giving us false reports for a long time. Come to find out Dugan assisted Hawke in escaping his ship. This is your last warning!" He gripped his sidearm tightly as it was pointed at Karyn's head. He seemed to ignore her question about reaching command.

Jenna set the timer as an alarm sounded in the docking bay. The main alarm had been silenced, but this one going off was different. Yellow strobes near the bay doors began to flash as a voice came over the bay intercoms. "Warning. Bay Doors timer has been set to open in 5 minutes. All personnel are to clear the area."

The Captain turned suddenly at the alarm and looked up to the tower. "What the?!" Jenna was running down the stairs as fast as he could. Several of the Marines turned there attention to the tower and began firing upon Jenna.

Biff was able to keep out of sight behind the stairwell as they were firing.

Corso activated the Airtank as the panel in front of him lit up with green lights. He then activated the thrusters as the airtank hovered slightly. The right side of the airtank tilted to the side and scraped the deck. Corso then leveled it out as he began to fire wildly at the Marines.

ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE

Marines began to fire upon Glory, Jenna and the Airtank. The gatling gun on the bottom of the airtank unleashed hundreds of rounds of hot lead on the squads of Marines. They were cut apart as blood and body parts sprayed everywhere. Dozens of bullets hit the airtank plating as they bounced off with a pinging sound. Bullets then impacted his hatch window, causing it to crack. A bullet finally pierced the hatch window, hitting Corso as the airtank began to spin out of Control. Corso let loose two missiles before he crashed into another airtank and skidded against the bay floor into a wall. One missile hit the ground near glory causing a large explosion and the entire area to tremble. Dozens of Marines were blown apart as they flew all over the place. The second missile hit the top of the tower causing it to rock back and forth.

The tower then fell to the ground, crushing any personnel below. The stairway to the tower began to break apart, causing Jenna to jump to the lower half. The lower half of the stairwell began to fall apart behind her while she ran as fast as she could.

Screams were evident in the area as the Marines laid wounded and dying. The remaining Marines began to continue to fire on Glory and any non Alliance Personnel they saw.

As the alarm began echoing and the Captain was distracted, Karyn dove to one side, sweeping out with her right leg, tripping one trooper and toppling him. She rolled over his body, pulling his auto rifle out of his hands as she did so. She kicked herself around to bring the weapon to bear on the Captain and those troopers close to him and opened up with a full burst. As bullets tore across the hanger from the tank's gatling, she kept prone and huddled close to the near lifeless body between her and the aircraft.

Well, that tears it. Guess I've just surrendered my commission.

But my heart is not weary, it's light and it's free I've got nothing but affection for all those who sailed with me

"We keep these doors open until all of them are inside."

"Yeah, I'll just keep a hundred Marines at bay," remarked a fearful Becker, his only saving grace being that they hadn't opened fire. Yet.

Going toe to toe with dozens and bullets was no smart idea even by Mike's standards. When gunshots erupted, the XO squeezed the trigger of the rifle he already had aimed. Concurrently, he rushed to his side in an attempt to put himself out of the line of fire that an open cargo door generated, and quickly found his hip crashing onto the floor in front of the cargo bay wall.

With the inherent danger present, Mike now thought to look around Glory and check on the others. One particular saving grace came with the fact that their doctor was safe on the bridge.

"I think they're buying it Dugan!" Was an added remark to the fallout of Ian's plan.

Mike climbed back to his feet, and edged toward the cargo bay entrance again to see if he could fire off some more rounds without catching a stray one himself.

Biff couldn't fight off the Marines right away on his own and he couldn't head into Glory without Jenna. Hiding wasn't his usual style. He'd rather bring the fight to the enemy but he was adaptable if he was anything.

Biff saw Corso's airtank get hit and he knew the man was in trouble. He picked up and ran towards the downed airtank firing at the few marines still able to shoot. He hoped to get the man out in time to turn about and cover Jenna's approach to the Glory. She made it this far and she was fast. All things in her favor. The big man had nothing going for him right now but Biff.

Firing a couple more covering shots Biff turned and began to pry the hatch of the airtank. "Come on Corso! You're too unreasonable to bite it on this purple belly tub!"

Biff opened the hatch to an unconscious Corso. He was hit in the chest from the bullet that broke through the hatch window. The body armor aborbed the bullet but caused him to lose control of the airtank and hit his head against the controls. There was a large laceration on his forhead and was bleeding heavily.

Bullets were flying everywhere as the gun battle ensued.

It didnt seem like people were listening to him. Remy knew it was because he wasn't taken seriously by the rest of them, it was fine, this was their comfort zone, it wasn't his, and it was obvious that he was a fish outta water here.

Then all hell broke loose, and Remy ducked to avoid stuff, bullets, debris, anything and everything. Remy hid behind some cover, every now and then he would stick his head up and see what was going on. Remy wasn't a gun man, he didnt like them.

Remy saw Jenna, she was running, he wanted to help her, but there was too much gunfire going on. He felt useless. He WAS useless

The pair continued the climb upward, passing by the sealed doors of each deck, Travis occasionally pausing to place his ear against the hatches and listen, before moving on. How big was this thing? He thought, but quickly recalled the sight of the IAV Ziggurat when they had flown up earlier. Hawke had been his worry then, things had just seemed to escalate from there. Now here they were, trying to blow up the largest ship in the fleet, from inside. Shiny.

Travis realised he was smiling to himself as he climbed, and wiped it from his face as the madness faded from his eyes. "Nearly there." he mumbled hopefully.

Hunters

When Slade and TK reached the top dock to the Bridge, they were able to pry the elevator doors open and slip onto the top deck. It was strange that the hallway leading to the Bridge was quiet and that there were no Officer's standing guard.

Slade fell into the pattern his partner used; climb, stop, listen, climb, stop, listen. As the pair went ever higher, Jackson mulled over the plan he was developing for taking out one of the biggest ships he'd ever seen. In theory he thought he could do it, bring the great beast down, if he could just recall some details of what an old girlfriend had tried to teach him. She was dead now, had been lost in the War when her ship went down. On the plus side, if things went south with reaching the bridge or his plan, he might get to see her again in the near future...

They finally seemed to find the right door, and the sniper swept the hall ahead with his stolen Alliance rifle before climbing all the way out. All quiet, which could be really good, or bad. In his life, the ex-pirate had come to bank on the latter.

Infirmary Wing

Khei found herself waking up with a throbbing headache. Tristan sat in a wheel chair near her still unconscious. Khei could hear the faint sound of gunshots as she came back to reality.

Khei groaned as the world came spinning back. Even as her eyes readjusted she couldn't quite remember what had happened.

She got to her feet and leaned against the wall, her head throbbed insistently, making her nauseous.

Looking around, she slowly started to recall where she was if only groggily. She staggered over to the wheelchair, every joint in her body screaming in protest, and started turning the chair around. Using it as support to keep herself from falling over, she wheeled Tristan back to the elevator that the soldiers had used and hit the button to call it.

Biff pulled a bandana out of his ruck and stopped the bleeding on Corso's head. Then he pulled the big man out of the airtank. Thumping him on the ground he hoped the shock would wake the big man up. Then Biff had a grand idea.

Corso wouldn't like it but it might be the shock that snapped him out unconsciousness. Biff pulled his poncho out of his ruck and laid it down next to Corso. Then he rolled Corso onto it. He then quickly took parachute cord and weaved it through the poncho's anchor holes. He tied the cord around his bruised chest and pulled the great hand cannon off the large man and started blasting the few remaining marines still firing at Jenna. The unique boom of the rounds exploding out of the handgun was the weapons signature. Biff knew that there were gunsmiths out in the verse that did this kind of custom work and a man like Corso would be very attached to this piece and it's wonderful roar.

With each shot Biff stepped towards the Glory and to a better position to cover Jenna. Biff lay the gun on top of the big man and continued to fire rounds at any Alliance who would move. He had already thrown down two of the rifles he picked up and he had about a half mag left on the third.

Karyn twisted on the floor as bullets continued to fly overhead. She let go of the auto rifle after its magazine went dry, and slipped out of her tunic, leaving her in a white blouse and trousers.

The better to not be identified as Alliance cannon fodder.

She spotted the young woman racing down the stairs from the collapsing tower. Apparently, this was the one who set the hanger doors to opening. Karyn managed to scoot over to a crate stacked halfway between her and the ship with the others gathered in the cargo hatch.

It's going to be a tight run for her to get to the ship without catching a round from either side.

She tried to catch the girls eye to wave her over to the temporary shelter of the crate, and at the same time, looked for a fresh weapon to defend herself with.

Travis slowly made his way down the empty corridor, weapon at the ready. Quiet, not necessarily a good thing though. He sniffed the air, no recognizable trace of weapons fire, although there did seem to be something familiar about the scent that he couldn't quite put his finger on. "Something's up." he whispered across to Slade.

He headed straight down the short corridor and arrived at the sealed Bridge entrance. The door itself was a one way mirror, which they were on the wrong side of. Travis caught a glimpse of his own reflection, his face covered in spots of dried ash and blood, with two jaded eyes starring back at him. It had become one of those jobs, and the worst was yet to be done.

TK approached the door, standing to one side as he examined the keypad. He considered trying his hand at a little code breaking, but instead nodded to his new partner, thumbed the activation switch, and waited.

The pounding on the doors had startled Trina, but after the last, things had gone quiet in the hall outside the bridge. Her grip on the needle containing the sedative relaxed and then did so even more as Ian's response came through. Still, she was cautious enough to peek through the window of the door to ensure the hall was clear. Then, and only then, did she open the doors and leave the bridge.

As she started to make her way back towards the cargo bay, the sounds of gun fire reached her. Her pace quickened for a few steps and then she paused, and turned to detour. If there was gun fire, there was a chance someone was going to get hurt. The detour brought her back to medical. Scooping up her med bag, she checked its contents and began to refill what was low and add items she hoped weren't going to be needed.

Her bag filled and her arms carrying what wouldn't fit in the bag, Trina turned and headed back to the cargo hold. Exhausted as she was, she wanted to be ready for those, crew or new face alike, who might get injured.

Slade gave a nod to TK, then moved to the opposite side of the bridge door, the auto rifle at the ready. When the doors opened, if they opened, Jackson planned on stepping to the opening and sweeping the room beyond. He didn't know what to expect, but he hoped he had enough bullets to deal with it. He took a breif second to check the gun in his hands, make sure it was ready, and nodded once more to his partner.

Ian smiled at Sonya when she punched his arm.

"Ohhh. He'll get a double for that one. Later though. Work ta do first."

He went back into his hack.

The alarm soundedd and Mike congradulated him.

"Not me."

He spoke in surprise as the world erupted in gunfire and screams. Bullets pinged off the steel walls of the ship, inside and out.

"This is real. We only have a few minutes left before the main airlock opens."

He paused

"Bernadette all over again. Where is Lear and Wolf when you need them."
He cleared his PDA and sent a text to Khei.

Text to Khei

Where are you. Forced departure in four minutes tops. Get here or hide. Docking bay will be open to atmo in four.

He stowed his PDA and pulled his weapons.

"To arms!!"

He shouted and moved to the Glory's airlock. He saw the air tank fire it's payload and dove away from the ship in a clear area. He landed next to a Marine.

"Psewww! That was a close one."

He clocked the Marine twice with the butt of his weapons and started firing at the others. When his pistols whent dry, he picked up one of the weapons of the Marines and continued firing.

"Back to the ship. Glory leaves in less than four minutes."

He saw Death dancing among the dead and pointing at the living. Ian fired she she directed and more dead joined those already laying on the deck of the Docking Bay.

Remy gritted his teeth, he needed to do something, Biff and Jenna were the only people there that he trusted, and he needed to man up. Remy heard Ian say that they only had four minutes, and he knew what he needed to do.

Remy started to move from cover to cover, making his way to Biff, on the way picking up whatever guns he could find on the floor from downed guards. Remy finally made it to Biff, dropped the guns in front of him

We have three minutes to get to the ship, cover me, I'll get Jenna Remy said

Remy squatted there, took a intake of breath, and then started to move, making his way to Jenna.

Sonya couldn’t hear Ian's response, if there was one. The hounds of the United Planets were being torn asunder by a plasma cannon. By tooth and claw they were coming apart.

Gulliver looked to Remy, at least by all appearances, for she saw Ninjar; former toy and lifelong figment of her disorganized subconscious. "There's another way." She said, know what he was going to say. That's what he always said, invent another way. Then Jaime, the alternate to Ninjar's stoic logic; the half monkey-half parrot; flew about the cargo deck, Sonya's eyes followed as though she were looking through the walls. As Jaime flew out of Glory into the docks Sonya understood. She looked past the hordes of evil wargs dying on the plains of the shire.

She moved suddenly back into Glory. Her eyes trying to take in the sight while words tried to form.

"Dugan." She yelled. "Hospital has a hard port entrance, standard on a big station." Gulliver looked to see if anyone heard her. Would he understand? They can't stay here. After the wargs comes the real trouble. Just need to get Jen and Bif. And Corso too if he's still alive; or undead. And then... but who would know how to get to the external hard port of the hospital, rescues the rest of Ian's Glory Crew.

She would. Admiral Sonya would that is. Unless she was with the wargs. Sonya looked carefully around the Glory's open hatch to see if she could see herself. If she did, she'd have to go get her. Sonya looked at the pistol in her left hand. A fine piece.

And with fine pieces on her mind; one last look at Remy, actually Remy this time. Gulliver smiled. "I used to be X.O. here. I'll get us a nice cabin later."

Remy's thoughts were elsewhere though, he shot out of the ship. "Right." said Sonya. "First things first." And she took off after him, pistol ready to give cover in his daring do.'
