Gabriel watched in horror as two of the Walkers continued to come at him. He kept pulling the trigger. Click. Click. Click. EMPTY! He holstered his gun and went for his hunting knife, taking up a defensive stance, ready to strike one in the head and retreat. He swung his knife at a Zombie's head with full force. |

The walker coming straight at Wendy is hit from two different angles, knocked off balance and brought down the ground with a loud thud as Wendy regained her footing. The two remaining at the front door came rushing forward, as fast as their dieased bodies would allow, and the first had its throat torn apart from the force of Gabriel's blade. The second was luckier, though, and the huge body of an ex-farmer slammed into him Gabe, knocking them both down to the ground in a heap, jaws snapping at the pinned man. |

"Aaaagh." Gabriel yelled as his hit the ground, feeling pinned from the weight of the large Walker on top of him. He held one hand to the Walkers forhead in an attempt to prevent the stinking flesh from biting him. With his free hand he felt around for his knife that he dropped. |

Daniel snarled as he continued to watch, was it fear that kept him from reacting? He shook his head as he watched a walker pin Gabe to the ground. "Damn YOU!!!" he roared within his mind rushing alongside the trapped writer as he reached forward fingers gripping at the matted filthy hair of the undead farmer. A growl escaped his throat as he jerked hard pulling the head back slipping his blade between the zombies gnashing teeth. He released it's hair only to grab the other side of the blade pulling hard on it as he attempted to pull him off of Gabe. |

The creature resisted, but it wasn't enough. Together, Gabriel and Dan were able to shift the thing off the fallen comrade and landed their blades straight into the creature. It stopped moving instantly. |

Gabriel rolled to his side, coughing and out of breath. He looked up to Daniel and pointed in the distance. "Kobi..." He coughed some more. |

"Hmm..." he moaned as he pulled his blade out of the creatures head. He wiped the congealed blood on his pant leg. It had the consistency of jelly and grease. He looked at the machete with disdain. He deftly slipped it in the sheathe and pulled Kobi's pistol out of the cargo pocket. He slipped out the mag skillfully and checked to make sure it was a full clip. "Merry Christmas" he said as he popped the mag back in and pulled back the slide, leaving a round in the chamber. before handing the gun to Gabe. "We finish up here... then we find Kobi, he said solemnly... "Unless she finds us first.." Taking a step back the vet looked up at the girl on the roof. We're not going to hurt you... he said loudly enough for her to hear him... "We're here to help" Edited by Ahroro_Deltori, Feb 6 2013, 03:34 PM.

Gabriel took the handgun, but he was lying on his back, still trying to catch his breath. He ran his hands over his face and through his hair. While sitting up he looked at his wrist and saw the scratch. Gabriel's heart raced as his face turned pale. He looked back and saw Daniel talking to the girl. Gabriel's world came crashing down. No! No!! No!! I.. I.. Can't tell them, maybe it was from hitting the ground... This can't be happening. He looked around. No one had seen. He pulled his sleeves down on his trench coat to cover the cut. |

Wendy stands and hefts the shovel once more as the other walkers approached, and backs off a few steps, paying attention to the struggles happening behind her between Gab, Daniel and the zombie pile. She moves slightly away from the porch, drawing one of the walkers in front of the other, offering her only one target to worry about at a time. She raises the implement back over her shoulder, and plants her feet firmly, ready to swing. As the corrupt female staggers forward, arms clutching outward, Wendy's arms propel the shovel in a large arc sailing over and down, directly at the zombie's head. |

A Reaver's Nightmare
|
Her plan hadn't worked as smoothly as she'd hoped as only a couple left the pack while others soon found themselves either distracted by the rest of the group or simply too brain undead to actually pursue. The two who did however literally tripped over each other as they approached. The one who came closest first received the prize of a baton to the side of the head which temporarily disoriented it though didn't have enough force to crush the skull. Turning to the other she switched tactics clipping the back of it's knee sending it to the ground. She wasted little time bringing the tip of the baton down with full force into the eye socket of the downed dead. The original baton victim now regaining it's equilibrium lunged on top of Kobi, sinking it's teeth into her shoulder. In a fit of panic the young constable frantically began smashing the skull with her baton until she came free of it and finished it off with a second hard blow to the skull. Now alone she threw off her flack jacket and desperately felt around her shoulder for punctures a wash of relief came over her when she found none. She quickly redressed before turning back to the chaos at the farmhouse for the first time seeing the young girl, grateful now that they didn't leave the farmhouse be. Returning to the group, finding Wendy armed with a bloodied shovel and taking a fierce swing at a female zombie. Gabriel was down, possibly hurt but still breathing as Daniel passed the downed man her other pistol. She needed to prioritize. Gabriel was no longer in immediate danger nor was Daniel. Wendy seemed to be handling herself well which left the girl. She needed to get in the house and get to her. Bypassing the steps of the porch she instead hopped the railing and slipped in the house which was somewhat dimmer than the exterior. She began looking around for a staircase and listened for more zombies. |

Gabriel slowly stood up, hunting knife in hand and made his way through the front door of the house. He was going to take with him as many Walkers as he could. He wanted revenge for being scratched. |

Daniel shook his head as he saw Gabe head into the house, following Kobi. He turned to see Wendy dealing with a couple of undead. "Clever.." was all that he could mutter as she maneuvered them int a line. Sidestepping from the house a little, he flashed his machete at Wendy's second foe aiming right at the side of the head. He followed through with a dragging motion, pulling the deadite to the ground. His green eyes flashed around checking for further danger within arms reach. "Another down.." he called out. |

Wendy's shoulder shook from the vibration when the shovel struck home, burying itself into the zombie's shoulder and neck. The weapon had deflected slightly off target when the zombie reacted to Daniel's approach and attack of its companion. Wendy lost grip on the handle as the walker twisted back, stepping back with the shovel deeply embedded in its neck. It didn't look like the head would remain attached for long, but even moments could be deadly. Wendy drew her long Bowie knife out of its sheath and with two steps forward, shoved it deep into the zombies' eye socket. The dead thing reeled and toppled backward, sliding itself off the sharp blade and leaving a smear of gore on Wendy's weapon. She wiped the blade on the tattered shirt the corpulent female wore and stood up to look around. Seeing no further immediate danger, Wendy looked back up to the overhand where the small girl stood. Crashing sounds emitted from the upper floor as the girl looked back frantically at the window behind her. Wendy made a decision and sheathed her blade before jumping up on the railing running around the porch. "The others are inside. I'm going to protect her while they clean up the rest of the ghouls." Reaching up, she gripped the edge of the eave and pulled herself up onto the overhang near the girl. Gathering her feet, she knelt and drew her blade, taking a defensive position in case something came out of the window to threaten them. |
