Lupin smiled best he could as he saw her returning, "No, noone interesting. Guess we'll have to find another way to pass the time." Lupin looked at his watch and sighed, "I've been to sermans that went faster then this train..." He sighed resigning himself to waiting longer and began to subtlely eye her, so far she has been nothing but trouble and was easily capible of taking care of herself. "So I spy? Truth or dare? 20 question? I never?" He asked both as a jab and a very obvious hint that he didn't know anything of her and it should change.

Silvia looked at him with a baffled look, I never? I don't think I've heard of that one. I had a bit of a sheltered childhood. She glanced around the train car and then back at Lupin, I only ever got to play I spy or truth or dare growing up, out of the games you listed. She didn't seem to mind having another pair of eyes around, so far he hadn't proven to be a liability, which is a start for her and a good reason not to let someone die, plus he seemed to know how to keep secrets which for her line of work is a bonus.

Colin is seated on the train, not too far from Sylvia and Lupin, visibly frustrated with the strange device he held in his hands. It's a small box-shaped object, covered in exposed wiring and piping, which he is fiddling with using a crescent wrench and sheer finger strength. But despite his ardent futzing, this little pipe refused to screw in correctly. Enraged, he tosses the thing against the back of the chair in front of him with an audible "hermf." As he does so, though, the thing begins spewing out a cloud of grey-white smoke. As quick as a shot, he picks it up and begins fiddling with every nook and cranny while giving it very stern looks. "No, no, stop it, stop you little son of a..." Finally it stops.
Relieved, he turns to the people around him. "Excuse me, but does anyone have some kind of tape or adhesive or something?"

The doctor looked up at the man that was futzing about with some sort of contraption and when it started to exhale smoke she nearly instantly had a surgical mask over her face from out of one of her bags, pushing Lupin back away from the stuff. She looked at Colin and glared from behind her glasses, Excuse me, what The Black are you doing!? she looked around at anyone who may have inhaled the gas for their reactions but tossed the man a roll of medical tape, You're going to make people... sick. she grinned widely behind her mask and just realized her and Lupin just had a great stroke of luck.

"Oh, no, it's fine." Colin addresses the vague smokey forms around the car. "It's fine everyone! It's theatrical smoke. It's supposed to do that...I mean, it's not supposed to do it right now, but..." Colin shrugs, looking sourly at his little box, and addressing the Doctor directly. "But it shouldn't bother anyone unless they have an allergy...or unless I didn't do this part right." He turns the machine over, re-examining an area dominated by a labyrinthine series of tubes. His fingers almost instinctively check the connections, tightening nuts and pressing on bits, then flipping it over, tightening other things. He makes a face like he'll see what's wrong if he can only stare intently enough.

Lupin sighed as the odd manmessed around with his fog machine. He noticed that the doc had became interested in him, for what he didn't know. This day was one of those days he wished he never even bothered to get out of bed. But it was too late now that he was on a train to the port with not an idea of what was coming next. Clearing he throat to get her attention he pulled Silvia aside, "A word with you hun?" In a hushed tone he tried to pick her mind. "What the guai are you trying to do? Starting a panic on a moving train like that..." He combed his hair back a bit and asked, "So what ya thinkin?"

The doctor glanced back at Lupin and shook her head, Sorry, I'm a doctor, force of habit to look after people's health... she replied in a whisper, a grin on her face, You never know who's going to have a heart attack from the smoke... she winked at her companion and eyed the bathrooms. She gave a shrug and looked around, I'm thinking my uncle better get back to us before we get to the port or we might be humped... she glared down at her PDA, still waiting for a wave it seems.

"Ah Ha!" Colin trumpeted, seeming quite pleased with himself. With a satisfying 'tink', the last piece was put in place, and without glue or any other sort of ad-hoc solution. The pride emanating from his hand was nearly palpable. "It'll work fine now. See?" Flipping a small switch, the box began to spray smoke in all directions, blanketing the car in a grey-black haze which, in it's highest density near to Colin, was blinding. The box also emitted a fine 'sss' sound, as if a pipe was leaking. This covered up Colin's quick footsteps and his rummaging through a passenger's particularly nice bag he was eying. He grabbed for credits, tech, anything he could grab before the smoke cleared enough.

Through the cloud of thick smoke a low chime sounded over the trains internal speakers. "We are approaching the final stop, will all passengers please ready their belongings." came the announcement, first in Mandarin and then again in English.

As Colin rooted through the bag, a hand came down out of nowhere, brushing past his before clamping down on his wrist. "HEY!" yelled a faceless voice.

Colin jumped a bit. His instinct took over, but pulling away proved unfruitful. Never being one for improvisation in performance, Colin did the first thing he could think, and smacked the hand with his device. He'll surely hate himself for breaking it, but getting away before the smoke shows his face is more important than a few pipes.

The device connected and there came a muffled 'ouch', it even managed to stay in one coherent piece, now sporting a small dent on one side.

A quiet melody played over the trains intercom, they had reached their destination. The doors quickly slid open with a low hiss, the smoke in the carriage flowing out onto the platform much to the dismay of other travelers.

As the smoke cleared, a small chap toward the back of the train sat with his head down, rubbing at his hand silently. A quick glance at her PDA showed no change in luck for Silvia, as there was no reply from Brenn.

The passengers in the train poured out onto the platform, one of thousands in Osiris's main starport. A low rumble could be felt in the air as somewhere overhead ships came and departed, but it was dark and overcast now.

Nearby stood a flashing electronic displaying, guiding travelers to various points within the huge facility. A small map flashed up with the word 'CENTRAL' underneath.

The doctor just listened to the commotion of someone trying to pick a pocket, then the victim catching the person and getting hurt. She kept her surgical mask to her face until the doors to the train opened and the smoke spilled out. Like nothing had happened and there was no smoke coming out of the train car Silvia strutted from the train holding Lupin by the hand, then once out she put down her mask and put it back in her bag and pulled out her PDA with an audible grumble Gorram da! She checked a few things on her PDA and looked at Lupin, Well right now, my old friend isn't contacting me back which means we'll have to find somewhere else to go until he can get back to us... The red headed woman starts tapping away to send another wave.

Colin turned and ran, bumping passersby away in the thick fog. Stepping onto the platform, having only just stashed the last of his take in the small bag he kept always at his side. He shoved the now dented machine in as well, leaving the bag very plump and difficult to close. With some shoving, though, it relented.
With a few looks left and right, Colin sauntered away, trying to blend into whatever crowds he could find and look inconspicuous. His success was...debatable. Following a few well-dressed gentlemen who looked like they knew where they were going, he passed by the doctor who'd overreacted on the train. Fearing she'd see his face, he "cheated in" (as the actors would say) away from her, hiding most of his face. As he returned to a normal walk, though, he considered this a rather poor idea, and punched himself mentally.

Lupin spotted the odd fellow who was asking for tape earlier making a failed attempt at a pick pocket. Being familar with it himself he watched and had to do his best not to break out laughing when the attempt failed. Next thing he knew was the car was filled with smoke and he was practically pulled out of there by the hand. As the doctor looked at her pda once more Lupin spent his time spitting out the nasty taste of the theatrical smoke and even coughed a couple times. When she mentioned not hearing back from her contact he cursed under his breath and lit up a cigarette, "Sorry old habit to smoke when stuck waiting outside during a fire alarm." He began to think of any options he could think of but few came to mind. He might been able to con his way aboard a ship as part of Alliance business or scrounge up some random ship to board as a paying customer but it wasn't worth mentioning.

Silvia felt a small vibration in her hand as the PDA flashed into life with a short reply. In the meantime a pair of official looking security fellows, armed with non-lethal stun weapons, approached the scene of coughing and chaos, one checking with some of the more upset passengers, the other asking around for those that had seen anything. "Excuse me….sir." came a voice from behind Lupin. "I'm afraid there's no smoking in here." The voice belonged to a short, stocking fellow, sporting a mustache and rather fancy looking hat. He wore a slightly aged suit, and didn't seem to be working there.

Silvia reaches for her PDA, glancing at the reply she finally received and made a quick mental note of the key information before shoving it back into her bag. Continuing along with Lupin she stops when the man behind them addresses her cohort whom happens to have lit up and she gives Lupin a look, Now sweetie, what have I said about smoking, I mean really every time I look away. the doctor giving her best concerned but perky young woman routine in front of the man, Those men in the train didn't give you enough smoke?

The short, suited man tipped his hat to Silvia, flashing her a quick grin before turning and heading off into the main starport. He stepped through a set of holographic doors, they shimmered briefly, offering brief glimpses of the crowded terminal inside. Only a few steps behind him, Colin followed quietly, head down and looking as non chalant as possible. As he moved through the shifting logo of the Osiris Port Authority he was instantly greeted by the cold stares of two Alliance soldiers, who stood quietly on guard at the entrance. One of them quickly looked Colin up and down before disregarding him.

Further inside groups of people queued around large circular desks, scattered about the huge domed building. Tickets. If they were going to get anywhere, they were going to need a pass off the planet.

The doctor made her way through the crowds, keeping on eye on Lupin but also trying to keep an eye out for any more suspicious individuals, heading over to a ticket kiosk where she looks at the woman behind the glass, Two to Baroness. the doctor requests quietly. She glances over her shoulder at Lupin, You are coming with me right?

Exhaling thankfully at his being disregarded, Colin snaked his way through the crowds, entering the ticket queue. Standing there, he took a moment to look through his bag. His recent smoke shenanigans had netted him some credits, but hardly enough for anything worthwhile. He approached the desk, looking genuinely overwhelmed by the decision of his flight path. "What's the shortest...er, well...cheapest hop I can make in the direction of Paquin?" he asked the woman separated by inches-thick glass that he thought must have been hell to install.

By the time Silvia had turned to face Lupin, he had vanished. She quickly glanced about, but could see no trace of the man. "I'll need to see the second passengers IDent card." came a voice from behind her, as her own was returned.

The other woman made a strange face at Colin, before looking down amid a flurry of typing. "Well sir, it appears that most flights heading that side of the Verse have been effected by a lockdown in that sector." she said confidently, smiling pleasantly at Colin. "We could divert you via orbital platforms? It would take a little longer and would certainly be ..." she paused for a second "... more affordable."
