Things rarely stayed simple. Becker had to change direction again to respond to the current situation. He had hoped the proximity warning was an error, simply a repeat of their position relative to The Horizon, but Dom's message caused concern. Tools were tossed across the cargo bay floor, before Michael made for the bridge again to see what information could be attained. "Comm Ian, tell him he needs to come abo-"
Michael froze as he found himself confronted with a big call that he had to make. A helping hand, one that got Ian and Khei back on board and Cole back in the green was very welcome. But a shark smelling blood in the water was just as likely. Mike's lips held open as he tried to force out the right words, but his mind hadn't rustled then up yet. With a quick sigh, he squeezed the top of his nose between finger and thumb and clamped his eyes shut. He hoped to pressure out a decision. His eyes opened and his hand dropped to send out a message to the other ship. "Could you supply medical aid?" That was all he sent before turning to Dom. "We can't pass up an opportunity to save Cole, not with a trek to a medical facility as our only other option. We'll back ourselves up well. Are you handy with a gun?" |

The communication over the airways went silent. After a few moments, another transmission crackled to life through the console. "We can provide medical assistance, Prepare to be boarded."

Mike winced at the prospect. "Put me back onto Ian," he instructed as he fiddled with dials. When he was locked on to Dugan's comm. "Ian. We've got another ship here offering medical assistance for Cole. I don't think we can afford to turn it down. Hang tight, I'll make sure you get back here. See what you can do on that door." He'd didn't like live them, but in a ranking of who needed assistance first, Cole came top. Edited by Becker, Feb 1 2013, 02:23 AM.

<<'Continued from Where in the World is Havoc?'>> The Siren's Call began it's approach and prepared to connect to Glory's airlock. Standing by were Anders, Jenkins, Brown, Donovan and Chen-Tsu. All in EVA suits and armed with rifles. Captain Silver turned to his pilot, Lemon. "If they take evasive action, have Mack launch a electro-magnetic harpoon into their ship." Lemon nodded with a grin. "Aye, Aye Cap'n." Lemon's adrenaline was clearly pumping as he punched the com to the engine room. "Mr. Mack, get on the harpoon and stand by!" Mack yelled back through the com due to the noise coming from the engine room. "Right! On it!" Mack headed towards the harpoon gun. |

"Roger that, Mike. We will work it from this side. Ahh, Mike .... Just in case, make sure everybody is armed and ready. I dont want any surprises. Mike, one more thing. The Quick Shut Down command is Go-Se. Say it on the Bridge and it will shut down the ship for fifteen minutes." |

To Dom, "dock with 'em smoothly. Then get a gun, and join me in the bay. I just want you to show it off. We can't come off as some easy pushovers." Becker wasn't liking this. A position of authority was never one he pined after, he just liked to be told where to point the gun. Now he possessed sole responsibility and blame for anything that might go awry. Michael stopped at the med-bay. To Trina, "We've got a ship bringing medical assistance. Can't say whether it's on the level but can't see a smarter option right now. If you can tie a spare weapon to your proximity, might not be a bad idea. Let me know if there's anything suspicious about how they work with Cole." No time for responses. Plus Mike didn't wanna hang around a brief reminder of who else's life was jeopardised by unknowns. To think, Dugan did this everyday. Becker was soon out on on the cargo bay. Two pistols strapped to his sides and presented by how Becker placed his hands on his hips. He sent a comm message through the way to Horizon. "You'll understand if I ask you to limit your boarding party to three, and to keep your weapons holstered. We'll do the same in good faith." Was this the thing to do, an honest a fair approach. Should he have Dom spotting from a better position or did that make him look weak on his own. All Becker had at the moment was that split second to pull a gun in self defence. |

Back on Glory Cole explored the ship that was still new to him. He never wanted this dream to end, but he did long to talk to his friends again. Finding Michael arming himself and the crew Cole frowned for the first time since this wonderful experience started. This is because of me. The thought was quickly drowned out by the return of his euphoria. He did a little flip in place and then floated back down to the med bay. |

The Siren's call slowly connected to Glory's airlock as there was a hissing sound. The light above the airlock went from red to green, indicating a good seal. Jenkins and Brown stood at the airlock, rifles slung around there back. They held up a large med kit to the window of the airlock, waiting for the crew of Glory to open their doors. Meanwhile... Chen-Tsu and Donovan headed towards the shuttle of the Siren's call with Anders. |

Anders moved at his steady loping jog, adrenaline making walking impossible, he trusted Chen-Tsu and Donovan to keep up. He held his assault rifle tight across his chest limiting its movement, safety on, finger resting above the trigger guard a brief second separating him from bring the gun to life, part of him hoping he wouldn't need to make that shift, another part kinda hoping he would. The heavy boots of his EVA suit were ringing on the deck as he and his crew moved towards the shuttle. From a simple scrap run, to burning in doors with an order to take a boat by any means, Damned if this isn't starting to seem like old times all over again. He came to a halt at the shuttle, "Chen-Tsu you're flying us, Donovan be ready with that torch, I want those doors glowing as soon as we got lock." Once in the shuttle Anders took up a position at the door one hand grabbing the top of the doors heavy frame the other holding the rifle steady, unnecessarily dangerous to stand on a shuttle? sure but at this point he'd burn in hell before he sat down, Hell, I'll be there whether I sit or stand. "Double time Chen, we want to be on that boat before those fellas know whats going on," Anders was shifting back and forth slightly, as if a great bundle of energy had suddenly rushed into him, his weight went from foot to foot his head shifted side to side only two parts of him resisted the near constant motion, his hand gripped the assault rifle with practiced precision, and his face held its cat with a canary grin. "Cap'n wants this boat in our hands, regardless of it's condition or if someone else is trying to claim it, y'all know how to handle a scrap but lets do this clean, don't kill nobody that you can bully into doing what you want, and don't get trigger happy." This was spoken like a well oiled mantra, as much to himself as his crew, and in that moment gone was Anders the Deckhand, and in his place stood Anders the pirate, " This ain't gonna be no murder just a nice quiet robbery between friends, Dong ma?" Chen-Tsu took the controls of the shuttle and powered up the engines. They quickly disengaged from The Siren's call and manuvered to the airlock of the Horizon. The shuttle docked to the airlock without incident. The shuttle then sealed to the airlock as the light above the door turned green. The airlock door to the Horizon was disabled due to the lack of power. Donovan pressed a button which caused the shuttle door to slide up, revealing the door to the Horizon. Donovan then lit up the torch as he began carving into the airlock door causing sparks to fly everywhere. So far this was a well oiled plan. |

Horzion Ian stood by, waiting for his crew to get things together and maybe send the Blaze over. He'd wait a minute or two more before suggesting it. In the meantime, he cracked the seal on his face plate to extend the breathng time in his suit. He bent down and sorted through the weapons and material he had gathered already. 'Someone went to a lot of trouble to gather this. Best take it with us. It's yours by right." He spoke to the man he had found in the bridge smuggle pit. |

Reylan looked over toward Ian and the collection of weapons, he picked one up and carefully examined it. "Whoever those bastards were, at least they had style. Dunno where the hell they came from, but last I saw they weren't exactly putting 'em to good use." he said quietly, checking one of the rifles before loading it and slinging it over his shoulder. He glanced toward the pile again. "We can talk prices later, right now I'm just trying get a bearing on all this." He paused. "You ever just have one of those days Captain?" |

Dom carefully docked with the other ship then bee-lined for his bunk, strapping a couple weapons on him he made his way to the bay where he saw Becker waiting in plain view. His tactical background kicked in as he assessed the situation. He didn't know too many ships that offered medical aid out of the goodness of their heart and to Dom it felt like this could go south fast. Taking up position on the catwalk above would give them a bit of an odds evener but left Becker alone on the floor, he'd be the first casualty if it came to a gunfight. The only other person on board right now was Trina and she was unavailable. "Becker, I got a naggin' ambition to take up placement up high in case they decide to walk off with our ship. What's your call?" He queried, thinking how nice it'd be to have an extra measure of insurance in case this boarding went wrong. |

Horizon Ian looked over at Reylan, then Tristan and Khei before going back to Reylan.
"Yes, Captain, I have." Then he got a quizical expression "What's that noise?" Everything was powered down. There should not be a noise. Ian traced the direction of the source as best he could, moving his head in an almost odd manner, until he looked back at Reylan. "Where's your shuttle dock?" He had a very bad feeling about things .... |

Donovan was able to cut through the airlock door to the Horizon as it fell to the door with a heavy clanging sound . Luckily the airlock was sealed or else a Vacuum to space would be created. As soon as the shuttle leaves, the ship will be rendered useless and everything will be sucked out into space. Donovan, Chen-Tsu and Anders entered into the Horizon in their EVA suits and with their rifles at the ready. The ship was pitch black, the only light was coming off their EVA flashlight. Oxygen levels were reading low via their EVA wrist watch. |

'Captain'. Reylan's eyes widened as Ian spoke, throwing a glance toward the unconscious Tristan who now rested in one of the large, empty pilots chairs. "That would be the man airlock hatch, ship this old isn't configured for shuttles." He paused and considered this. "Only way in would be to cut throu…" he trailed off as the ship around them shook and a loud clang echoed up from the cargo bay. "….friends of yours?" Reylan asked, now holding the rifle with a grim look on his face. |

Anders was the first on the Horizon his rifle sweeping the immediate area, "Clear." his voice low and calm, "come on in boys, wipe your feet don't want to track mud in the new digs." you could almost hear the smile in his voice even though the lighting and EVA visor made it hard to see, but even as he spoke his rifle and flashlight continued to pan back and forth in smooth flat pattern. As Donovan and Chen-Tsu moved up next to him, he raised the barrel of his rifle up inyo a safe direction, "Okay fellas this should be real easy, we're gonna start by securing the cockpit then we'll clear this place room by room if we have to, we find anyone just try to yell them down," he looked at the men, "We stick together, we work as a team, if there's anyone here," Anders looked down at the O2 levels "Which doesn't seem all that likely, but if there is we team up on them, I want a gun on anyone breathing, at all times, but you don't shoot unless I say or unless they start shooting," his rifle came back down into the ready position, "Let's get moving" |

Anders, Donovan and Chen-Tsu made their way through the dark corridor leading to the bridge of the Horizon. Their flashlights provided a faint beam of light that cut through the darkness. Donovan then stumbled forward, almost tripping over something. Donovan shined his light towards the ground and saw a body riddled with holes. He then raised his light further and saw multiple bodies scattered everywhere, bullet holes lining the metal walls. "Goram." Donovan whispered. |

Ander set a steady but calm pace, rotating who was on point and who was covering their six, it was an old small team combat tactic he'd picked up during the war, it kept the watchers fresh by changing what they were looking at handy with such a small team. Anders was in the back when Donovan made his grim discovery, "What's it?" Anders queried before turning his head to look for himself, he found himself in agreement with Donovan, "Goram is right," Anders made a quick warding gesture, superstition was par for the course for him, and silently thanked whatever power had him in an EVA rather then having to smell all the death around him. What in the name of hell happened in this place. "Okay well, seeing as our friends here don't seem to be going anywhere, I suggest we keep moving," his index finger raising and flicking his rifle from safe to burst fire mode, "Maybe with a bit more haste gentlemen, and watch your bloody feet Donovan." Chen-Tsu and Donovan followed Anders in a tight formation. Their fingers itched the trigger of their rifles, ready to fire at any threats. Donovan then shined his light towards the entry way leading to the bridge. The group heard talking that stopped as soon as the lights shined in the area. |
