Kidd followed Blaine into the rosin. "It's weird being on here and part of the crew now, instead of a stowaway." He took it all in while beaming. "Where is the shuttle?" Kidd looked around. |

Blaine walked ahead of the Kidd, hearing him talk behind him. Blaine didn't answer, he didn't really need too, or even want too. The Kidd was just at the right place in the right time, Blaine still couldn't believe that "The Captain" didn't give the Kidd a bit of a roughhousing for stowing away on board his vessel. But now, the Kidd was involved, whether he wanted to be or not. Blaine punched in the code to the ship and walked in. Walking through the cargo bay, he walked to his room, and picked up his cases, he would need them, they had his weapons and equipment. Blaine didnt have time to look through and pick out whichever ones were needed, the ship already had an hour getaway, Blaine couldnt waste time. Picking them up, he walked up the stairs to the port airlock and EVA store, which was right next to the shuttle. It was just like the Wolfsbane, only less character. Blaine opened the door, walked inside, and waited for the Kidd to get in, closing the door behind him So, come on, GREAT pilot, show us what you got, get us through that blockade and to the Terra One said Blaine remember what the Kidd said about himself earlier... Now was the time for the Kidd to put up or shut up Edited by ribsource, Apr 4 2013, 11:31 AM.

Kidd sat in the pilot's seat, taking a moment to slide into it. He obviously enjoyed being in a pilots chair again. Kidd did a pre flight check, making sure everything was in good working order. Taking a deep breath, Kidd had a sly grin on his face as he began powering up the shuttle. The shuttle's engine slowly came to life and made a gentle humming sound. Kidd disengaged from the Rosin as the shuttle rocked slightly. He then entered in his coordinates to Ariel, locking his trajacteory into the navigational computer. The shuttle turned in the right direction slowly as he accelerated the shuttle to full speed. If Blaine was not holding on, he would have stumbled. And so the Kidd and Blaine were off, hoping to catch up to Terra One. The Alliance Cruiser and Airtanks paid them no mind, seemingly concentrating more on the planet Verbena. Blaine stood behind the Kidd whilst he did his pre flight checks. Blaine wanted to see if the Kidd lived up to his own hype, putting both hands on the head of the chair, he stood there in silence, it probably was off putting to the Kidd, but then again, if he was so good, he wouldnt mind the pressure of someone watching, possibly scrutinizing his every move. Lift off. Blaine stood his ground where he was, bending his knees slightly, and leaning in the opposite direction to the way the shuttle was going in order to maintain balance. Once they were through the blockade without any problems, he moved to his chest of 'toys'. Opening one of them, inside was his guns, all lined up in a OCD like fashion, pulling out a tray there were more. Opening up his other chest, in it was his surveillance equipment. Taking out a gadget, he connected it to his PDA. On his PDA, Blaine sent a ping out in the the Cortex, to try and gather as much information on the Terra One as possible, people who worked on it, the Captains name, any information that was out there on the Cortex, the ping would collect and collate the data in one easy file for him to read. They were going to get Monte back, and they would need all the information they could get. The gadget worked as a holodeck, allowing him a 3D scan of any blueprints, body mapping of the ship and its workers. Blaine then sat down, and waited for the ping to come back. |

The ping of Terra One came up with no results other than it was registered to Phoenix Corp and that it was a medical grade vessel. The shuttle continued at full speed as Kidd put it on auto pilot. He leaned back in his chair and placed his hands behind his head and looked at Blaine. "So. Blaine. Got any food around here? My stomach is growling something fierce." There was nothing better than cleaning your guns before going into uncharted territory, sure had finished cleaning them on the journey from the docks to the space station, but that was just for fun, this was part of the routine. Blaine got Skye out, the smallest of his guns, and was about to take it apart when the Kidd spoke. Blaine didnt know anything about the shuttle. It wasn't his, it was the Roisin's. The question brought up ideas in his head. He didnt know anything about it, maybe it was time to check it out. Blaine pulled out a ragged protein bar from his chest. It was for emergencies, this wasnt really an emegency, but it was best to keep the Kidd at his top form, Blaine didnt know anything about him, and whether or not he would be good in a pinch. Keeping him sweet would mean that the Kidd would hopefully have his back, somewhere down the line. Blaine through the bar at the Kidd, putting Skye back where she belonged he stood up That's all I got, gonna go check the shuttle for supplies. Blaine started to walk around, it was only a one floor shuttle, but it had nooks and crannies, so he started to search them, hoping that Regan was smart enough to kit it out with some 'safety features' |

Kidd snatched the bar as he nodded in thanks and began to wolf it down like a rabid animal. Blaine discovered a storage locker in the rear of the shuttle near the airlock. It contained two EVA Suits, multiple oxygen tanks, various repair tools, a loaded six shot revolver, flare gun with additional flares, verse maps, and an emergency stack of credits. Hours passed as the shuttle pushed further into the black as the console started ringing with a proximity alert. "We got something up ahead." Kidd yelled back to Blaine as he wiped the crumbs off the screen from the bar. Edited by loneviking, Apr 7 2013, 01:50 PM.

Blaine found some things. He took most of it, if the Kidd needed stuff, Blaine wasn't the kind of guy to give his weapons out will nilly, so the revolver was a good thing for the Kidd to have, also Blaine had a few bullets for that type of model and a device which made it easy to reload in one swift moment as opposed to filling each chamber individually. The tolls may come in handy on the job, as well as the flare gun. The maps he left where they were as well as the credits. This wasn't his ship, he wasn't gonna be stealing from it unnecessary things. The gun and the flares could easily be returned after the 'job' was done. Blaine then went back to his gun chest. Taking out Skye, he started to clean her, moving onto Abigail and working his way through them until he had finished with Penny. The cleaning allowed his mind to go blank, and he didnt need any other thoughts clouding his mind on the way. When he had finished, he started running scenarios in his head as he waited for something to happen. Then he heard the Kidd. Getting up from where he was, he walked over to The Kidd, standing behind him Terra One? Did we catch up to her? |

Kidd began pushing several buttons as he deactivated the power, resulting in the once humming of the engine to go silent. "Engine is offline to avoid energy readings." Through the Helm window they could see a medium sized vessel up ahead with a Phoenix logo on the side. The ship appeared to float lifelessly as it spun on it's axis, indicating that the engine was offline. Kidd looked back. "Whats the plan?" |

Blaine took to his PDA, and looked up to see if he could pull up a schematic on the ship ahead. If they were going to go in, it would probably be best to find out the layout of the ship. Blaine hooked it up to the device which would give him a holodeck readout. I go in he stated simply Blaine could do the job quicker on his own, plus if they needed to make a quick getaway having the Kidd on the shuttle would make things easier. If the Kidd was gonna protest, Blaine wasn't going to argue but he would probably give the Kidd a glare. Edited by ribsource, Apr 9 2013, 07:28 AM.

Kidd was relieved by Blaines response. "Yeah.. You go. Someone needs to guard the ship." Now Kidd wasn't a coward, but he wasn't stupid either. His forte was definitely at the controls of a ship. Blaine's PDA connected to the holo-deck as it scanned the medical class ship. A holograph map appeared and at the same time was downloaded into his PDA. There was a large bridge at the helm with a long hallway attached to it. There were approximately 20 rooms that were lining the hallway. There was also a lower level that contained an engine room and storage area. Kidd turned towards Blaine in an almost annoying motherly sort of way. "Better put on your EVA Suit. Probably no oxygen and no gravity control, judging by their out of control spin." Kidd then powered up the shuttle with ease as the engine pulsed to life. Kidd manuvered the shuttle to the nearest airlock which would take them to the first level, where the engine room was. The shuttle slowly eased into the airlock door as it rocked slightly and a loud pressurizing sound could be heard. Kidd powered down the shuttle again to reserve fuel, but left the interior lights and monitoring systems online. "Set your comm link to frequency 11.22.344, I will be able to receive your transmissions on the shuttle. Good luck!" Edited by loneviking, Apr 9 2013, 01:44 PM.

The Kidd didn't want to go into the ship, it was obvious from his quick response to Blaine's 'stay inside' comment. Blaine was happy to a degree, he wouldnt be slowed down by the Kidd. Blaine was already heading to the EVA suits when he heard the Kidd suggest it. Blaine slipped it on, and added a belt around the outside, for his guns. Blaine had the suit on, except for the helmet. Putting a mic in his ear, he connected it to the ships comm link, and input the frequency into it. Blaine looked at his guns. Which ones would be suitable for the 'mission'. He took out Dana and Buffy putting them on his hips on the belt. And he pulled out Penny. His biggest gun, and held onto it. The helmet went on, and Blaine went to the airlock. Blaine's mind had a picture of where he was going, and had a basic knowledge of the layout of the ship. Blaine nodded at the Kidd as he left. Stepping into the airlock, he made his way to the other ship. Gun trained and pointed in front of him |

Blaine exited the shuttle door as it sealed behind him and entered into a secondary compartment. Once the small compartment area was pressurized, the secondary door opened and revealed the main airlock door to the ship. The door was half open, indicating that there was no oxygen aboard the ship. As soon as Blaine stepped aboard, he could barely see. It was pitch black, save for a few flashing red lights. The dual EVA Suit helmet lights automatically turned on, giving him partial light of what was directly in front of him. Every step Blaine took caused him to float slightly due to the lack of gravity. The ship was quiet, like the dead of space. All of a sudden a voice chimed in over Blaine's earpiece, disturbing the silence. "Hey Blaine. How do you read me? This is Kidd. I am just doing a Comm check. Turn on your helmet camera so I can help guide you via the map." Blaine suddenly heard a loud clanking noise about 200 feet in front of him. Blaine wasn't a stranger to going into a place 'cold'. When he ran with his former Special Ops crew, the Wolf Pack, they had to do it all the time, orders changed, and you just had to do things on the fly. Blaine had a bit of research into the place, but not enough to feel comfortable. He stepped into the 'void' immediately it was black, it took his eyes a coupe of seconds to get used to it, but by then, his EVA lights had kicked in. Blaine wanted to turn them off, to try and keep stealth, but to be honest, what's done is done, and there wasn't any turning back from the lights now. It took him a couple of steps to get used to the anti-grav but he got there, the voice in his ear spoke up. Blaine took his hand off the trigger and turned on the helmet cam. A sound, his hand went back to the trigger as he slowly made his way forward, his finger was on the trigger, ready for anything that would come ahead. |

Blaine slowly levitated towards the area of the sound. Scanning the area he saw nothing. Suddenly a figure bounced off the wall and flew at him. "Watch out!" Kidd yelled in Blaine's ear. |

Blaine felt it was coming before it actually came. It was a sort of sixth sense that he had developed. The voice of Kidd screamed in his head, but he had blocked it out. Blaine had gone into 'warrior mode'. In one swift move, Penny, was spun around, and whatever was flying at him would get a gun butt to the face/body, as quickly as Penny had been spun, she was spun again, with the chamber pointed in the direction of whatever had flown at him. Trigger finger ready to shoot. |

The figure turned out to be the lifeless body of a man in a white lab coat. He had a look of horror on his face as floated towards you. Blaine quickly reacted by moving out of the way. Blood was covering the mans face and and neck and blook had drenched the front of his coat. The body bounced off another wall and spun into the darkness. Blaine could see a stairwell up ahead leading to the 2nd level. If he continued further down he would reach the engine room. A quick check of his oxygen levels would reveal that he had 3/4 left in his tank. |

Blaine had dealt with the problem, but he had a bigger one in front of him. Oxygen. It was 3/4's full and he had no idea if Monte was even on the ship. Blaine commed in to the Kidd Any heat signatures from inside the vessel? Blaine didnt want to risk going all the way forward if there was nothing there. Blaine started to control his breathing, making it more shallow, in order to conserve what oxygen he did have. |

Kidd ran a scan on the ship. "Scanning now." The thermal imaging on the map showed a light orange color on the 2nd level. "I have a faint signature in one of the rooms of the upper level.." |

Blaine got confirmation, something on the second floor. Blaine started to ascend the stairs, one by one, slowly, his gun trained in front of him. Blaine got to the top of the stairs, it was a corridor, and he was in the middle. Blaine took a left, he was going to start at one end, and work his way to the other, checking every room. The good thing about being in space, was that there was no noise, but he still kept to his training, walking slowly, almost on tip toes. He go to the door at the end. Kicked it open and trained his gun inside. Again, space, no noise, he could do this for all the doors and no one would suspect a thing until it was too late Blaine started to make his way throughout the rooms, checking each of them. |
