Erideth gave a soft sound in her chest as the other two woke up, Good, you are alive. She said that more to herself, turning to go back to her stuff, checking to see how dry her equipment was and sighing. She wasn't too happy. She went into her bag, pulling out her extra ammo and started to spread that out as well, just in case she needed to reload later. Wet ammo doesn't fire. |

The large man slowly stands up, dumping his gear out of his pack, spreading it all out in order to dry out his things. He smirks a bit at Erideth and laughs, That weren't nothing, I could... You know what, now's not the time. Xavier rolls his shoulders and cracks his knuckles a bit, Too bad soaking that thing doesn't short it out, huh? He points at the bracelet that Erideth had pointed out previously. |

To Xavier's first comment she smirked a little as she pointed out herself, I've survived bigger...an' closer. ...before giving a frown at his second comment and giving a harumph. She shook her head, No it don't...but at least th' last big explosion I was in helped me get th' remote detonator disabled. not really going into when, or even how that happened. |

Xavier quirks his brow at Erideth with roll of his shoulders, Mine, Ship, or building? he casually asks, Been involved in all three myself. It's how kind of how Alex and I met. The large man reaches for Erideth's arm with the explosive jewellery in an attempt to look at it more closely, So who'd you tick off in the Feds to get such a fancy friendship bracelet, little lady? I've only seen two types with these, inmates that were unruly and specific other people... He sighs a bit And depending on which of the two groups you're from may limit the ways to get this thing off without killing you. Edited by Silvox, Dec 7 2012, 02:33 PM.

Erideth looked sideways at Xavier, Ship. was her simple and quick answer, giving the large man a bit of a 'stare' before he reached out towards her. She had a knife in her hand quicker than Xavier could get his hand a quarter of the distance between them, held along her arm in that way that only people who know how to use a knife and are real dirty fighters hold it. She glared even darker towards the man. Touch me, or this thing on my wrist and you're gonna lose a gorram hand. You could say I got it as soon as they conscripted me. |

Alex chuckled, watching the exchange between Xavier and Erideth, as he finished laying out his ammo to dry. He took a seat on a dry patch of ground and started trying to boot up his PDA, hoping no water breached the computer's innards. While waiting for it to boot up, if it was going to, he rummaged through the pack with all their rations to check the condition of everything. |

He pulled his hand back and frowned at Erideth's reply, giving her a nod, Great... Well, I got good news for you little lady. I won't be touching that thing after what you just said. I saw a guy attempt to get one off, popped the cover and there wasn't much left of him. Xavier stands up fully and cracks his back, Well at least you survived the ship... he grumbles something under his breath and half-scowls at Alex. |

Erideth waited until Xavier pulled his hand back before she slid her knife back into the sheath at the small of her back. She harumphed a little bit and nodded her head, That's what I've been told...and I'm not lookin' forwards to goin' about with one arm...if I survive. she looked around again, shaking her head. I don't like jus' standin' around out here...but I don't like havin' wet ammo either. |

Alex glanced up at Erideth and gave a slight nod as he chucked a small package in her direction. Here. Catch. Don't want to stand around waiting? Then eat. He tosses a similar package to Xavier and Alex, finally taking one for himself. Not much but this'll be breakfast. Once our supplies are dry enough we'll head out. He sat back and unwrapped the meat stick, taking a bite from it. |

Erideth didn't have any problem catching the package, more out of reflex than anything else. She looked down at it, then have a small hrmph in her chest and nose before tearing open the food and taking a large bite. She wouldn't turn down free food out of someone else's supplies...especially after the telling rumble that her stomach gives off telling just how appreciative it is. |

Xavier catches the rations from Alex and starts to dig into them while he checks on his explosives, making sure that the air tight packages haven't been breached and at the same time he empties out his ammunition to dry it and his gun out as well. |

As Xavier catches the small package and goes about opening it, he glances down and catches sight of particularly menacing figure, shifting in the water at his feet. It takes a few seconds, but he soon realises it's just his own reflection starring back at him from the clear water below. A section of hair has been burnt clean off the top and side of his head at an odd angle, singeing the surrounding hairs and turning the underlying skin a dark shade of red. Purely cosmetic, he reaches up to softly touch it, no sign of immediate pain and only a tenderness to it. That's what he gets for peaking! Now he's just a medium-rare looking badass. The rest of the adventures seem fine. Sore, wet and tired, but nothing they haven't felt before after a particularly rough night out. Their equipment while wet also appears undamaged. |

Looking down at his reflection Xavier laughed a bit, Guess I'm going bald now. He just casually mentions while munching some on the rations he's got. |

Alex groaned and muttered as he paced around, checking the supplies they had lain out to dry before resuing his pacing. After what seemed like hours, he felt everything was as dry as necessary. Good enough. Let's grab our things and be off. We've wasted enough time here. Within minutes he had everything packed back into his sack, slung it back onto his back, and trudged off into the direction of the downed ship. |

Erideth was just as quick slipping her bullets into her guns, and extra ammo back into her dried out bag. She murmured things to her guns like, It's okay, you're ready to shoot again... quiet enough that it's obvious that it's between herself and her guns. She was either crazy, or just quirky. You could hope for quirky. |

Xavier laughed a bit as he packed up his gear, rolling his shoulders and making sure he's ready to roll out. The large man following close behind Alex with a chuckle, She likes 'er guns as much as I like my toys. Can we keep her? a grin crossing the big man's face as he dug around in his pack, Remind me to clear the rest of the debris from my head later. |

The sun had made its way high into the sky by the time the adventurers made their way from the banks of the river and back into the jungle. Alex checked his GPS device, finding that they were only a few hours out from the co-ordinates he'd been provided. The huge ship, and its precious cargo it seemed was nearly within his grasp. He took a moment to review the data on it. Ex-Generation Ship converted for long term storage and secure transport. Cargo varied from things to big to be held in a vault, to much, much worse. How she'd come down had been a bit of a mystery, and with no official investigation or ship records, nobody seemed to care either. Long as the insurance paid out it seemed this was one loss the Alliance could cope with. It didn't seem right, but neither did a lot of things. As the thought occurred to him, Alex's attention was pulled from his cortex unit to a low whine which seemed to be coming from overhead. Glancing up through the light canopy overhead, the adventurers could see various points of light crossing the sky, some headed toward the various docks, others off into the black. But one had other plans completely. A small, lightly armored ship slowly dropped from a cloudless sky, the whine of its engines growing louder as it drew closer. Luckily it didn't seem to be headed for them. Instead it just swooped over the hidden adventurers, dropped a little lower before swinging around the edge of a nearby hill and disappearing down into a valley. A moments pause and a quick check of the GPS device confirmed Alex fears. They now had competition. |

As the seriousness of the situation settled in, Alex's eyes narrowed as his brow also furrowed. Son of a... GORRAMIT! This is NOT happening! How many people did that little turd tell! I'll wring his neck! He broke into a full out run headed for the ship, ready to draw his pistol as soon as he was near enough to the site. He wanted to get the drop on whoever these people were. |

Erideth grumbled something unsavoury to herself as well, this in regards to both the ship coming in, and her new companions. She slung her bag over her shoulder and started after them, making sure her fingers were on her guns just in case as well. |
