Ian was back at the controls, bringing the ship to her second home. He had spent so much time at the Docks that it sure felt that way He wondered what Badger was up to. For a business man he was about a close as a friend as Ian came to these days. He had no illusions, Badger would sell him out in a heart baet if he would make a profit on the deal. Badger would, at least have the courtesy to tell you he did so to your face. The organges outside changed to reds and finally blues before the great ship broke atmo and the heat that had started on re-entry disipated as the great ship slowed. Ian never tired of the sight, even as a pilot, but he rather see it from behind the pilots seat and not in it. Maybe he get some more crew here. Maybe even a pilot. In moments he was bringing the great ship down on her landing struts. The bump wasn't too obnoxious this time around either. "Evansdown Dock Control, we are down and locked. We'll let you know when we're ready to leave." |

The feel of the ship making a decent, being caught up by gravity gave Trina the indication that they were more than likely near their destination. Her gun was tucked securely into the shoulder holster, but she'd yet to put her jacket on over it and it was draped over one arm. In one hand, she had her personal cortex link and was going over the list she'd made of supplies for the medical bay. Making her way to the flight deck, she arrived just as the ship bumped into a landing and Ian made the call over to the dock control. With no one else there yet, Trina slid her hand into her pocket, grabbed something and pulled her hand back out. "Captain, did you need me to come with you to pick up our passenger or would you mind if I went for our supplies? And was there anything else we needed aside from the medical supplies?" While her intent was to pick up mostly medical supplies, she'd put together a small list of food stuffs she wanted to add to the pantry aboard the ship. "And before you ask, I can manage the supplies on my own coin." Her hand that was closed around something, reached out to him and opened, palm up. In it lay the creds Ian had laid on the bar at the Baroness when he'd attempted to pay for her drink. "And seeing as these were your last few creds, I thought it best you hang onto them. I just haven't had a chance to get them back to you." A soft smile lifted the corners of her lips. "Please don't think me ungrateful for the gesture, I just have a thing against taking someone's last creds, no matter how kind the offer or how desperate they might need my medical care." "Ain't changed a bit since I last saw her." Mike was at the very back of the cargo bay, leant up against a wall, with eyes on a window that held Eavesdown Docks behind it. In his left hand was a gun, it's twin held under his arm, and his right hand was placing bullets into the appropriate holes. The chamber was snapped into place upon completion, and the pistol into it's holster as the second gun underwent the loading process. In due time that gun was holstered and spare bullets were ushered into a pocket of his jacket which lay on a nearby crate. Ceremoniously, the jacket was then taken a hold off and thrown up as he slotted his arms into the sleeves. He was ready. "Oh captain my captain," Mike sounded out, quoting from a story that he wouldn't be able to reference, it was simply something he'd heard once. "Are we ready to get this show on the road?" It was called out half heartedly, unlikely to find the captain's ears unless he had began his approach from the bridge. Becker hit the appropriate sequence on a nearby control panel. The opening of a cargo bay door followed, as well as the lowering of a ramp just behind it. |

Bridge Just after he sat them down he heard Trina enter the bridge.
"Go ahead and pick up the supplies you think we need. IT's on our employer."
"But you really dont need to. Just give me a reciept. It was part of the deal. Really. He heard some coins rattle and he looked back at her. Her hand that was closed around something, reached out to him and opened, palm up. In it lay the creds Ian had laid on the bar at the Baroness when he'd attempted to pay for her drink.
He saw a soft smile lift the corners of her mouth and felt his do the same as he accepted them.
"No worrys" He speech came out a little hoarse, like he was choked up. His eyes misted up and almost teared up as he hand closed over hers for a mere moment in time. A sure sign of friendship is what he willed to pass between them in that moment as his calloused finger tips brushed against the smooth skin on the back of her hand. "Thanks Trina, but dont spend your own creds when the customers is providing. They tend to get all kinds a insulted." He stood and let go of her hand. "I see that Mike has already gotten the airlock open, best get on with it." He put on his Black Duster and gestured for her to proceed him down the passage from the bridge to the cargo bay. Once there he checked again for the directions to the meeting place. |

Khei had been gathering up the belongings she needed into her pack before hurrying out to the cargo bay and airlock. She looked rather silly trying to walk as fast as possible without breaking into a run while adjusting her shirt, trying to keep her pack on her back, and holding her Ident card between her teeth. Anfy uff you guyfs know where th' nearfist comfuter partfs sfof ifs? Had she had a fully operational computer again she could have just searched for the nearest place but without a screen and properly sized motherboard she couldn't complete her new handheld. |

A confirmation had come through from Dock Control and a lighter than expected thud had brought the Glory to a halt. Beyond her bulkhead, the Eavesdown docks, the pride and joy of Persephone's underbelly, were just awakening. A sunrise glistened against the cityscape, putting the local time a little before 6am. With a crackle of static, another transmission came through the coms system before Ian could depart. "Captain Dugan, this is Control. Just a final mention, Captain, that a Mr Sackhoff is here in Control and requested you be notified of his presence upon your arrival. Enjoy your stay, Glory." The the line went dead. |

Cargo Hold Trina had noted the way Ian's voice had caught and had smiled all the way to the cargo hold. It was the touch of his hand that had caught her a little off guard, as if he'd been trying to convey something to her. So long as he understood why she had given back the creds and was comfortable with her decision, which she understood that he was, she felt there was a better understanding between them. Moving to the open doors, she gave Mike a smile. "Always busy here isn't it?"
Looking back to Khei, Trina couldn't help but smile at the reason the other woman's words had come out so awkwardly and difficult to understand. Shifting her bag to one hand, she began to pull on her jacket so as to cover the holster and gun tucked into said holster. "I have a cortex link in my bag, if you'd like to look that up. And seeing as I need to do a little shopping as well, you and I could go see to your parts and then we could stop by and get what I need while Mike and the captain pick up our 'guest', if that's all right with everyone. Could save us a little time, if we're pressed for it." |

Mike met Khei with a raised eyebrow. He then raised his fist to his mouth and inserted part of his forefinger. "Nuuu." The accompying shake of his head should have clarified his answer. He unmuffled himself and greeted Trina with a smile before taking a few steps down the ramp that had now lowered. As much as he found his home on a ship, there was something to be said for solid ground and he liked to indulge his senses whenever Glory sat down. A gaze at the horizon, a sniff of the air, the feel of the breeze, the sound of... well not the nothingness that space offered.
Michael was comg back up the ramp. "I don't see why not. Just don't stray too far in case we need your expertise. And I'm not talking cooking this time." He reached into his pocket and presented his PDA. "If you're on Glory's feed we can get in touch quickly." A little shake of the PDA indicated it's role in that venture before it was pocketed again. "Now the question is, just how far are we venturing?" Those words were directed at the captain. |

Khei blinked at Mike's response before her brain decided to remind her that she was still holding her Ident card in her mouth. With her belongings now secured to her person she removed the card with an awkward smle and slight blush. Er.. Sorry 'bout that. When Trina offered her help, Khei smiled and nodded. That'd be much appreciated. Thanks. |

Ian had to laugh at the antics of his crew. His new family ... "Ladies, just dont go too far and be safe." Before he stepped out into the Docks proper, Ian pressed the ship's comm box and contacted the Port Control. "Port Control, this is Dugan, I understand that Mr Sackoff is here. Tell him to do the meet and greet at the Broken Wing. Thank you and Dugan out." He turned to Mike "Ready?" He stepped out into the misty morning of the Docks, a place that never slept. |

Trina was grinning about Mike's comment as Khei thanked her for the offer to use the cortex link. Making a mental note to tap into Glory's feed, Trina handed the device over the Khei as Ian started down the ramp. A sudden feeling of peace hit her. It was the kind of peace she'd felt before her mother had passed, like she was home. Shaking her head as Ian continued down the ramp, she finally looked back to Khei. "We can get your things first. I know there's a small shop that has what I need that sits near the docks. If we finish soon enough, we might even beat them back to the ship." She almost hoped they did beat the men back. With the idea to bring aboard some food that was fresh versus the protein based type, she was planning to surprise the crew with a far better meal than she'd been able to make thus far. Granted it wasn't why she'd been hired, but she was finding it nice to be able to do things that were needed, but also could be nice. |

Khei nodded with a smile and quick thank you as she accepted the device and started pluging away at it looking for a shop that both fit her needs but wasn't too terribly far away. While she didn't need a high end shop she didn't want to settle for bargin basement shops either. |

Beyond the confines of the ship, the sleepy docks were coming to life and the city streets began to light up as dawn broke. Vendors were setting up shop, security personnel were changing shifts, and a uniformed entourage of Federal Officers was walking down the main walkway towards, offering a nod of acknowledgement to the Captain and his crew as they passed by. Only a block away was the Broken Wing, an ancient water hole for travelers and businessmen alike. A crew of mechanics, as per protocol, had already begun working on the Glory, examining her exterior and fueling up the cells. On the small screen in front of Khei, it was only a few seconds before some useful info was brought up. There were more than a few shops that might be of use to the ladies, most scattered around the docks area, where Ian was already headed. Edited by PMD14, Sep 30 2012, 10:39 AM.

Ian knew the way from the Docks to the Broken Wing quite well. He had spent many a long night, and longer day, there than he'd like to admit. With all the problems in his life at the time, he had taken solace in a bottle. Not that he had been a drunkard, but he was close to becoming one. Only his love of the Black had kept him from taking that final step. He had pulled himself back from the brink, when no one was there to help. He had managed, bearly, to keep things together enough to get work, keep it, and get his feet back under him. It had been the Alliance Military that had gotten him his ship back. It was a debt that he wondered if they would let him repay. The time in a bottle then was why he tried his best to stay out of one now. As they walked toward the tavren of his choice, Ian nodded back at the Feds as they past. "Mike, remind me to look for other work while we're here. Our job with Lucian will be over soon enough and we'll need other accommadations." Without looking forward, he reached out a hand and pushed open the door of the Broken Wing and stepped into the dark, smokey interior that he knew like a lover's body. It almost felt like home. He hated this place. Edited by ian dugan, Oct 1 2012, 03:43 PM.

Trina watched the group of officers as they passed, having never really recalled much of a presence of Alliance Military presence in Eavesdown before. Offering her customary thin, but polite smile in response to the nod, Trina wondered if they weren't walking into some sort of trouble already. Ian didn't seem all that nervous about it, but looks were often deceiving. "Find anything that will work for you, Khei?" Trina looked to the other woman as they walked, nearing a place she'd been in a time or two. The Broken Wing... don't you bring back some memories... she thought to herself as she slowed her pace and let Ian and Mike head on in. Pulling her eyes, and her thoughts, from the Broken Wing, Trina was able to spot a couple shops that would suit her needs just fine. It was Khei she was more concerned about. She herself knew little in the way of the inner workings of tech things, so Khei would be the one to make a better call on whether any of the shops near the tavern would suffice. |

The Broken Wing Few heads turned to acknowledge the new arrivals, though a man wearing a fancy grey suit waved at the Captain from his stool at the bar, a briefcase firmly clasped in one hand. He started across the room, aiming to meet Ian midway. As he got close enough, he called out. "Douglas Sackhoff, sir. Mr Hollows arranged for me to meet you here." He was a short, but well built man, with a balding head and designer stubble that was out of place in the old run down bar. |

Khei studied the screen until she decided on a place. Fair amount of em and this one don't look too far off... Ah there it is. That one'll do. She pointed to one of the other buildings, not far off from the Broken Wing, as she carefully offered the device back to Trina. Before anything else could be said, she hurried in to get what she needed. Edited by Khei, Oct 2 2012, 06:07 PM.

Mike had been quietly studying his surroundings upon approach, with a small smile onn his face as he took in the scenery and triggered a few memories. The Broken Wing. Michael found it funny how many trips brought them around to this bar at some point or another. Filled with nostalgia as he picked out subtle changes in the aesthetics, Mike tried to remember which had been his latest visit. His mind was fond of believing it was a time after Ian had been separated from Glory, in which he could reunite with the crew. The captain had been arrested, though not that arrested since he was able to see them down the line. He had however missed out on the close of a job which Becker and a Gwynifed Reyes had seen to, while Sonya Gulliver held the fort. Mike racked his brain. The details could have been off, but he was sure of a big gathering at the Broken Wing, Dugan footing the bill, much celebrating. When the man approached them in the present, Mike held back. As usual it was Ian's job to take the lead. |

To say that Douglas Sackoff was not what Ian expected would be an understatement. Then again, he really didn't know what to expect. He shook the man's hand and was surprised at the strength in it.
"Sure, very good. Lead on." It was all Ian could think to say at the time as he followed the little man back toward a table instead of the bar. |

The Broken Wing Mr Sackhoff led the pair to a small table and took a seat, ordering himself a drink as a waitress moved by their table. He was quick to get to business. "Yes, yes. Mr Hollows and I, we've been operating together for some time now. I believe in this instance, it's a man we're looking at..." He opened the briefcase on the seat beside him, producing a bound folder a few inches thick, "... Mr Tobias Hawke, yes? My job is to help you locate the man and, well, to offer any assistance I possibly can to you and your crew." He flashed the charming smile of a dodgy salesman and unwrapped the folder, presenting it to Ian and Mike. It was a totally paper file - no digital files at all. Photos of Tobias, some ranging back quite a while into the past, and then incident reports pulled from what looked like an assortment of police databases. Assault, murder, murder, theft, murder. One thing stood out like a sore thumb, near the bottom of Mr Hawke's summary page: Treason. "This is all the information I've gathered in the last month or so. Everything seems to put Tobias here, on Persephone. For the last few weeks, though, there hasn't been a single record of him being alive, here or elsewhere. He just dropped off the map." General Store The small store Khei had located on the console was one block over from the Broken Wing, a dingy second hand store that seemed to be stocked full of anything and everything electrical. The place was small, cramped, and seemingly deserted, the shelves covered with dust and mismatched parts of computers and the like. |
