Michael ceased his actions in light of the many guns now pointed at him. "Woah, hey, we're just trying to help out," was his immediate reaction before following thauit of hid captain and meekly raising his hands. As it should be, Dugan took the lead and Becker followed, he assumed the wreckage would receive the aid it needed from the proper authorities.

News hit about the pressing need for a departure, and Becker made for Glory with the rest of them. He took one moment to look back at the disaster behind him, a single thought suddeny hitting him.

Becker brought up the entrance ramp and locked Glory up. Then he found himself jogging after the captain. "Dugan." He need his attention. "Dugan." He really needed his attention.

Eavesdown Docks, Persephone

As the men of Glory holstered their weapons, the interest of the Alliance soldiers in them instantly faded away. The apparent leader of the unit took a step past Ian and continued screaming orders at the approaching crowd, the rest of his men responded to some unknown command and dispersed, forming a small semi-circle around the wreckage and keeping anyone who approached at guns length. It seemed to be working.

The Glory

Khei's remarkable button pressing skills were not to be trifled with as the screens on the bridge flashed into life, long lists of checks instantly flashing from red to green. The engine below spun into life, a low whine which slowly grew louder with every moment. To one side the central screen displayed an updated message from the Docking Authority, outlining what remaining ships were to do and what the punishments were for any transgressions. Below all of this scrolling text the countdown continued and with less than a minute left, they were going to need to hurry.

Dom

"Lad, you look a little shook. You doin' okay?"
"Yeah as well as can be expected," Cole trembled as he spoke. Having just stowed the last of his gear and with nothing else at hand to do the shock of it all was setting in.
Dom

"You best get the doc to treat ya with all that blood from other people, could catch somethin'."
Cole felt better knowing that someone was taking time out to help him out. He felt useless and insignificant right now. So new to everything around him. He said, "You're right I should find Trina. First I should wash this off now. I just don't know my way around yet. Is there a restroom near where we are? Hoping Dom didn't see the tears that were forming in his eyes as he realized the amount of gore on his person. He shrugged, "I'd hate to present myself in this condition. Heh. His bravado was transparent.

Trina registered the return of the crew, but kept her back to the group as she lifted the bags of medical supplies. It was eating at her to leave when so many needed help, but if she had been going to make a different decision, she'd waited too long. Shouldering the bags, she glanced once more the doors, now closed. Pressing her lips together in a hard line, she left the cargo hold.

Working her way towards medical, she wasn't really in a rush. A couple of voices caught her attention, but just barely.

"I've seen worse, Cole. Grab a clean shirt and follow me. There's a sink in medical." Her voice was steady, but only just. It wasn't likely Cole would catch the haunted look in Trina's eyes, but it was something Dom would recognize. Try as she might, she couldn't hold either mans gaze and so turned her head towards the corridor that would lead to the med bay.

Master of Disaster

The crew of the Glory boarded the ship with moments left as the engines roared to life and the Glory hovered slightly before blasting upwards. Eavesdown Docks began to fade from the view on the Bridge. The smoke from the crash was still thick you could see it while still exiting atmo. Everyone knew where they were heading. Verbena, Horizon, Tobias....

The ship drifted on it's plotted course until it arrived just outside of Verbena. Radar was picking up a nearby ship that would be within visual in 2 minutes. An attempt to hail the ship proved no use. It was definitely not alliance. The ship approached closer but it seemed like it's thrusters were deactivated, floating lifeless through the black without someone at the Controls. The crew of the Glory observed the words "Horizon" faded on the side of the hull. They found their target.

The Crew of the Glory prepped themselves to board Horizon. Tobias was on there. There was no turning back now. the Glory successful docked with Horizon as the airlock made a hissing noise. Undetermined if Horizon had oxygen, they had their suits on and helmets secured. The airlock door hissed open as they entered into Horizon. The lights were flickering on and off and they could barely see down a long corridor. Someone wasn't right. Oxygen levels were reading normal. Little did they know that they were being watched. A flash of muzzle fire suddenly lit up the corridor as a bullet ripped through Cole's suit, hitting him in the stomach. The figure that shot him ran down the end of the corridor to a hatch, opening it up and entering an escape pod. The escape pod then blasted off into the opposite direction.

A sound could be heard over the crackling intercom's. "Self Destruct sequence activated. 5 minutes remaining."

Cole collapsed to the ground, the warmth of blood flowing through his suit.
