Khei watched as Ian started sorting the various parts. Engine room. Important but not without a proper mechanic. I can see what I can do there after the electronics are repaired. Ah! Bridge. Perfect. Can't get terribly lost finding the bridge. First let's everything TO the bridge. Then I can start getting everything fixed.

Having decided her course of action she carefully gathered up parts from the "bridge" pile and started into the ship.

I'll get started fixin' everythin' up all shiny again on the bridge first. Soon as we have everythin' back in th' rooms they belong in.

She didn't want Ian or Mike to think she could only perform light jobs. She was stronger than she looked even if she was nowhere near as strong as a man could be. First, though, she wanted to make sure the delicate wiring and circuit boards were safely aboard and out of the path of items that would require heavy lifting.

The man started to charge Remy, he was by no means a man of violence, but he knew how to handle himself, and he wasn't a fighty man, but there were ways of protecting yourself without resorting to violence. So he did what he had too, side stepping the drunken man, he gave him a light kick to the back of the leg, by the knee, which made the man fall to his knees. Remy was about to help the man back up and try and reason with him, but a loud noise and flashing lights came to his attention, it seemed the skirmish was also going to be coming to the attention of some security as well.

The drunk fell inbetween the man who had caught Remy and someone else. The two men seemed to be exchanging jokes with each other, and Remy couldn't help but smile. But then the man he didn't know landed a blow onto the grog addled man head, with a bottle no less. Remy put his hands out in a stop motion, but it was too late, the deed had been done.

Six men rushed into the bar, security, which was expected, and told them to get on the ground. Remy put his hands behind his head, and fell to his knees slowly, his belly was touching the floor in no time with his hands by his head, his cheek was on the ground, and slightly wet due to the contents of a bottle being on the floor.

Success, he almost yelled. The bottle smashed and the lug went down, almost alarming accordingly to plan. The joy was short lived as he felt the pain finally register from his hand, opening it to see a set of cut fingers. He loosened his grip further and the smashed remains of the bottle fell to the floor, he shook it once to be sure and swallowed a wince of pain.

"Cheap Blue Sun go-se!" he cursed to anyone in hearing range, turning slightly to look towards Cyrus and the mystery flying man, but the glance was only brief as his attention was quickly pulled to the approaching security officers.

He grinned at them, oh what sparkly sticks they had, and matching coloured security armour. How cute. He raised his open hands, bloody one and all, to around head height and said through a smile "Took your sweet time boys, almost enjoyed my drink." before dropping to both knees in one fluid movement. Assume the position, wasn't exactly the first time.

Cyrus, Joseph and Remy were handcuffed behind the back and brought to their feet. "Startin trouble are we missy? Your no different then these blokes." The guard grabbed Sonya by the arm, hard enough to leave a bruise and handcuffed her behind the back as well. "We will let the Feds sort out this matter. Ain't no place for fighting on the Baroness." The drunk was placed on a strecher and led out of the bar to the Infirmary.

The 4 others were led by Security Officer's that were itching to use their electo-batons down one of the various hallways to an elevator. The elevator doors slid open and the prisoner's were led inside, followed by the 4 guards. After what seemed like forever, they descended into the lower levels of the space station. The elevator doors slid open and the Prisoner's were pushed out. They were led down another long hallway to a portly looking Security Officer sitting at a desk. His uniform was barely tucked in and he had a comb over that failed at hiding his bald spot. "Marcus. Got 4 new ones for ya from the bar for disorderly conduct." Marcus snorted and slowly stood up sliding a card into a scanner against the wall which opened heavy armored doors. The prisoners were then uncuffed and placed into a large cell. The gate of the cell snapped shut as Marcus snorted again and walked back to his desk through the security door.

Cameras lined the cell block and there were several other cells that streched down the hallway. A prisoner with a long beard and a raggidy appearance started cackling and banging on the bars of his cell. The only exit appeared to be the heavily armored security doors.

While there were unmistakable profanities under his breath here and there, Cyrus remained mostly silent during the arrest and the long descent that followed. He had managed to convince one of the guards to take his belongings - the rucksack and doctors bag - with them when the group proceeded downstairs, but the man had done so with a grunt. Upon arrival, his effects had been taken somewhere else as the group was led to their cell.

Once they arrived in the cell Cyrus shuffled to the back wall of the cell and slumped down on the hard ground, massaging his wrists. First time in the old mans life that he'd felt cuffs against his skin. The new experience was hardly enlightening.

"So... what the f*** was that about?" He mumbled the words, holding back his emotions with an odd, somewhat disturbing calm, his eyes locked on Remy, the younger man in the small group.

OOC: Happy to edit if you consider that first part to be taking over the NPCs - just didn't see it very realistic that security would leave his stuff at the bar.

A-17, Glory

It was tough seeing Glory in such a state and it didn't get any better the further you went in. Rooms that used to be full of life were now bare, their features ripped from walls, floors and ceilings. Mike didn't dwell though, didn't bring it up either. He found it more important for him and the others too look forward. She wasn't Glory right now, but she would be.

Khei was impressing with her work ethic. It was very encouraging to see in a girl who had only held her job for less than ten minutes.

Quote: Khei

"I'll get started fixin' everythin' up all shiny again on the bridge first. Soon as we have everythin' back in th' rooms they belong in."

"Sounds like a plan to me. I think your due for the tour." Michael picked up what he was sure was a chair than should have been connected to the bridge. "You follow on and I'll give ya the highlights." A small smile followed and Michael head for the stairway that led down into the ship. Should be easy to recall as long as Dugan hadn't done any rearranging.

Stepping down onto the second deck. "This here was," he felt the need to correct himself, "no, is the passenger deck." Mike placed down the chair which he had some managed to maneuver down the stairs. "We got engine access down one end, observation space at t'other." He indicated appropriately. "They got their own galley and lounge. Oh and we also got the shuttle access down here." Mike hoisted up the chair again and headed down another level.

"Crew deck." The chair was place down with more urgency this time, it's weight taking a toll. Becker indicated several rooms towards the rear of the ship. "I imagine you can help yourself to any of the rooms. I've jumped between a few myself, ain't much difference in 'em. Further back we got engine access again." Becker took a breath than lifted up the chair for what he hoped be the final approach. He spoke as he moved towards the head of the ship. "Med bay here, try not to make a habit of going in there. Our galley and lounge here, lot more space for us premium members."

Finally they set foot on the last room of that deck, one with a big view window that stared into the black. "And finally the ever popular bridge." Mike put the chair down for the last time then, after a few seconds contemplation, placed himself in it for what he knew would be the quickest of comfy breaks. "What's left of it anyway."

He looked to Khei. "Questions?"

Khei nodded as she followed Mike through the ship, making her own little mental map as each room or area was pointed out. She chuckled lightly at Mike's comment as they passed the Med Bay.

Yeah. I dun plan on makin' too many visits.

She shifted the parts she was holding to get the sharp side of one circuit board off her forearm as they continued up to the bridge. Once there she started looking for the gaping holes in panels where the parts she had brought along belonged, setting them down next to the corresponding hole.

Once her arms were, once again, vacant she shrugged her pack off and set it down, out of the way, next to a particularly badly damaged string of panels who's parts she had yet to bring up. She gave Mike a lopsided smile and shrugged.

Can't say I have any at th' moment. Fer now I think it best t' get all the puzzle pieces up here 'fore I get to work puttin' this girl back t'gether. Those Feds really did a number on 'er.

It was gonna be a big job getting the bridge alone put back together let alone the rest of the electronics in the ship but Khei could say one thing for sure. She didn't have to be worried about getting bored any time soon.

As she was lifted up to her feet Sonya struggled mightily to get free of being woman-handled. Maybe if she hadn't they would have left her, but the iron grip of one of the had been intentionally brutal. So she settled.

Her hat had been planted firmly back on her head, though askew. Gulliver's persona changed from the more confident woman that had made eyes at the companion to more helpless lass in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was almost convinced of it herself.

"Thank you." she had answered as the hat had been pulled hard down on her head. "But... I'm not with them. Just stopped by for a drink before meeting my shuttle. I've got an appoinment... " She wasn't getting anywhere. There wasn't much to do. Name-dropping of course. Anything was better than the brig.

"Sonya Gulliver, I'm licensed. I've got I.D." she said to Marcus. Nothing, he stuck her in the cell with the others.

Either these apes were too young to know who she was, or didn't care. Not that anyone much did anymore. Inside the cell she turned to the others, adjusted the misaligned hat on her head and took off her jacket to look at the bruise on her right arm. After flexing her arm a couple times and rubbing around the injury she seem satisfied it wasn't too badly damaged.

The tiny little burn scars from a plasma rifle hitting near her many years ago were visible on her left arm. She spotted the cameras, smiled meekly at the closest one, with just the right amount of pitiful need for attention.

Sonya gave up on that angle quickly, turned to the others. Her eyes darted between them, sizing them up, lingering a little more on the companion, "So what's a bunch of nice boys like you doing in a place like this?"

Cuffed and prodded, it was almost a trip down memory. They made their way from the bar to the cell uneventfully. Joseph happily smiled and nodded at the glaring officers, who seemed to bring their shock batons closer and closer to his side the friendly he acted toward them. Again, adorable. They were led into their space cell, though that said, not much different between this and say every other lockup planetside. He was the last to enter, standing with his back to the guards as the door slammed shut, the crash waking him from the thoughtful stupor.

Back in the game, he made a bee line for one of the two sleeping benches on either side of the room, planting himself at one end with a heavy sigh. He glanced at his hand, now caked in dried blood, the minor cuts now held together through sheer will. Reaching into his jacket he pulled out a dirty square of cloth, quickly wrapped it around the wounds, and made a fist. It wasn't fun.

He let out a long, quiet groan as he turned to one side then slowly fell backwards onto the bench, closing his eyes. "Ah" he said, as if reading something that had been written on the inside of his eyelids. In the background Cyrus cursed, though at who he wasn't sure, then the dame spoke up. Brilliant, the cellblock politics began. He didn't utter a word.

Remy felt his arms moved to behind his back and felt cuffs applied to his wrists. He couldn't believe it, he hadn't started the fight, in fact, he had done his best to avoid such a thing.

"I don't think you understand, I'm a Companion" he said, but it fell on deaf ears. Seems like the security weren't having any of his 'excuses', he just went with the flow and went where they were leading him, all the while looking around at the people he was with, one of the gentlemen called for his stuff to be picked up "Mines too please, its not much" he stated simply, hoping that his belonging would be brought with them, he thought that if there weren't, it would be the last that he ever saw of them.

He was pushed into the cell, where he was with the others, and he made his way to the corner, not believing the trouble he was in. He turned around, the man who had caught him started to talk

"It's not my fault, the groggle bumped into me, spilled his drink on me, and asked what was my problem" he said "I mean you saw for yourself, I was trying to calm him down, but he wasn't having any of it" he stated again, trying to keep his frustration in check.

He looked at the people with him, there was the guy who had caught him, the guy who had bottled the groggle, and the lady whom nearly shared a bottle of wine with him. He put his hands together in a prayer like manner and bowed slightly at each of them

"I'm sorry" he said as he made his way to the door, banging on it, he hoped that someone would hear him as they were walking away "there's been some sort of mishap here" he shouted, before turning his back to the door and leaning on it, looking up at the ceiling, he slowly slid down the door, until he was sitting with his knees in his chest.

A mishap, is it? That's what we're calling it?

Everything had seemed fine and dandy, to a degree, until the young one, the one calling himself a companion pulled together his composure and started to bow to everyone.

He bowed.

Cyrus closed his eyes slowly and began to count to ten in his head, concentrating on the breaths as they came and went. His face burned red hot though his leg still felt numb and cold, one hand absently massaging his thigh as he counted. For those ten seconds, the old man forgot where they were, who he was with, and the normal shades of his face started to return.

Then his eyes opened. He clambered to his feet, eyes locked on the 'companion'.

"Alright, kid. A mishap, you say?" He limped across the room, coming to a halt only an inch or so away from the younger man, their faces aligned perfectly. The red tinge returned. He said nothing else, however. It's not the kids fault, after all. Instead he just turned away again and headed back to his position against the wall.

Joseph couldn't help but listen and smile. 'Kid', he nearly laughed. Christ he loved that about the elderly. Anyone not their age was just another youngin' looking for a good hard clip around the ear. Though apparently this brand of kid was the extra nervous model, lucky them. At one stage he heard the mans clothes ruffle, same repeating sound. Either he'd quickly taken to prison push-ups, or, is he bowing to everyone?

He opened an eye, the one closest to the group, and examined them for a short moment. It certainly wasn't going to be a daring prison break that was for sure. Cyrus seemed a little, what was the word, oh yeah, pissed, though this was hardly the kids fault.

"A brief word of warning, friend." He finally, said, breaking the short eerie silence that had filled the cell as the previous question lingered. "You may wish to avoid using the 'C' word around here." His hands rose mid sentence to make air quotes before falling back into a resting position on his chest. "Not exactly your type of clientele, dong ma?"

With that, he looked away from the group and returned to his quiet contemplation. Or was he just sleeping? The lack of snoring kind of gave it away. Still, not as if there was much else to do. Prison cells, as with most things across the worlds, were just one big waiting game. Course, most folks were waiting for different things. Freedom, escape, redemption, the cell door to miraculously fall off its rail as all the security guards spontaneously collapsed and the cameras disabled themselves. Fingers crossed though eh?

A rather good looking rugged looking man slid his arms through the cell bars and looked over to the four newcomers in the Cell across from him. He had short brown hair that was gelled slightly to the side and had deep blue eyes that looked like the sea after a storm. He was wearing a brown leather flight jacket and black tactical pants. He was by all means, handsome.

"Psst. You over there." His voice had a slight rasp to it. "Interested in getting out?"

MEANWHILE...

While Khei was in the Bridge, several sparks exploded from the control panel from no fault of her own but from what damage the Alliance had done with splicing the wrong wires. A small fire started to form from the panel as thick black electric smoke trailed throughout the ship.

Khei visibly jerked at the sudden sparks and electrical fire. She instinctively used her foot to kick her pack away from the panel that was now on fire and quickly tried to knock the loose parts and components away to prevent further damage.

Gorramit!

She had a much longer string of vulgarities running through her head as she started looking for something to snuff the fire out. An extinguisher, a blanket, pretty much anything she knew could be used in such a fashion.

With all the smoke pouring out of the ship, Jenna now had a perfect oppourtunity to sneak aboard Glory. Khei could barely see anything through the smoke. The fire was now spreading from the bridge to the corridor.

Cyrus turned his attention to the guy lazing on the bars between their cells and let out a sigh.

"No thanks, friend. We're really quite keen where we stand." It wasn't even clear whether or not the old man was trying to be sarcastic as he stared down the other convict. A few moments of silence passed.

"What's a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this, anyway?"

First time on a space station in 5 years... this have changed since.

Everyone seemed to be having some kind of hissy fits. "Disorderly conduct." Sonya said as she moved to the sink, ran some water and took her scarf out of her jacket pocket; which was folded over her arm.

She rang out the excess water and handed the scarf to the man on the cot with the bleeding hand.

Then the man across the way said something about getting out. Everyone seemed to ignore him. One of them made it clear they'd be best off sittinng things out.

"Expect a fine or clean out toilets for a shift and they'll let us go." she said to her cell mates mostly. Sonya looked at the small tiny toilet in the cell, made an unpleasant face as the prospects of being in the cell with three strange men of uncertain and growingly unattractiveness.

"What's a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this, anyway?"

really? isn't this how it starts. She was getting nervous now. A shift to sleep it off, the feds assuming they'd been drunk and disorderly. and here she was ... trapped.

"Hey that was my line." she quipped. But she forced a smiled, looked him over. If she hit him real hard in the throat.. that was supposed to be quite disabling. Gulliver moved back to the bars as the man spoke again.

"Guess I will just be escaping on my own then. Thought you folks would be interested. Would have been easier with your help, but.. Suit yourselves. Feds aren't people I would be interested in seeing."

Sonya Gulliver looked back at her three cell mates.

"Sure, what you got in mind?"

(OOC: The question was directed towards the 'handsome' NPC, but I don't mind either way - just don't make out I'm the creep! :eyebrow: )

Cyrus remained silent as the young lady went about her business, handing the damp scarf to his wounded drinking-buddy-to-be and began talking to their new neighbour. He ignored the exchange - he was too old and this world was too long foreign for him to start thinking about a prison break out, especially in a place like this.

Instead he surveyed his other cell mates; the human cannonball and the wise crack who had a thing for smashing bottles across drunkards' heads. They both seemed innocent enough - if this guy, the one who'd so rudely been thrown at him - was truly a registered companion, he'd be fine and dandy no doubt once the guards, or the Feds, actually heard him out.

The other, the brawler, he wasn't so sure about. Sure, the man hadn't done anything too rash, but the Feds were always keen on putting away rough diamonds like him. Hopefully, when (or if) the suits showed up, the man would keep his cool. At least there weren't any shatterable objects around for him to beat anyone with.

"What an odd little place we're in..." The old man said it with a tone of depression, but quickly snapped up and looked at the companion as if he hadn't said a thing.

"You're ok from your flight, no doubt?" He tried to make it sound as much like a peace offering as possible - it's only been a minute or two, but he already had regrets about going off.

Ok, so I lost my temper. Nothing against the kid... not yet. Only doing what he knows best is all.

The man smiled at Sonya, knowing his bluff had worked. He wouldn't be able to escape without their help. He peered through the bars making sure no one was coming. "Here's the deal. I got a ship. Pretty quick one at that, fastest in the verse. She's named Red Dawn. I got picked up for suspicion of smuggling by the Security Forces here, seems they did a random scan on my ship as I was docking and saw some questionable items in my lower cargo hatch. Luckily they can't board her lawfully as only a Federal Agent can do that, so my goods are still on board. You help me get out of here before the Feds come, I complete my job and you will all get a cut." He ran his hands through his hair. "I've got the escape plan all worked out. You in?"
