Khei blacked out and awoke in a dark room. She could smell the horrible odor of various trash. The room had 4 walls from what she could tell and it wasn't very large. A message flickered on her computer screen. Come on, Fox. You have got to do better then that. That should have been an easy hack. That was your only freebie. You have 2 minutes to solve this one. The sound of mechanical parts moving began to echo in the room as the walls started to close in on her. She was in a trash compactor! |

Relieved to have air back in her lungs, as rank as it was, she quickly fell back on what she knew she might be able to pull off. Ignoring the mirror hub that would take far too long to connect to, she worked at connecting directly to the computer systems of the Baroness itself. She knew what general area she was in which could possibly cut her some time at least. She tapped away at her computer screen as fast as she could while not overlooking any systems she might need to access. She hoped she'd have enough time. First to disengage and reverse any and all compactors and secondly releasing the hatches on each. If all went well she might be able to get herself out before she was popped like a boil. |

Khei was able to access the network in the Baroness and stop the walls from closing in on her. Suddenly, water began to roar into the room. The water flow of the Baroness was redirected into her area. Looks like the other hacker had set up the water to trigger automatically in the event she stopped the walls from moving. She saw a vent in the ceiling that she could swim to if enough water filled the area. |

Not trusting just how "water resistant" the housing to her computer would be, she held it above the water while she worked her way toward the vent, ready to start unscrewing it or prying it as needed to remove herself from what could only be called a grade above sewage. |

"This is Commander Wilco of the HMS Pegasus, you are ordered to stop your ignition cycle and prepare to be boarded. Failure to comply will result in the destruction of your Ship." Sonya flicked a few switches that didn't do much except alter the power displays to anyone giving them a look or a scan. Gulliver played out the next few minutes in her head. She hit the comm and tried to sound flippant, calm. Cool, "Wilco? Really? Please Commander don't tell me it's Roger." Then tapped it closed. Her body leaned as she imagined how to turn the ship. forward, power, roll, pull, more power... A voice on the ship's comm, "Fast would be better than slow." Sonya didn't get the reference, thought the intra-ship's wave was for her. She looked at the power reserves building up to already dangerous levels. Pulse drive was going to be wildcat, hard burn.... "Darlin, you ain't gonna have to worry about fast." Sonya commed to the lower deck. The light went green, plenty of time for everyone to be clear she told herself. Gulliver tightened the straps holding her in the chair. Thrusters lit up for the accelleration toward HMS 'HMS?', and Red Dawn moved away from Baroness. They might take immediate fire if Pegasus wanted to risk hitting Baroness, they'd certainly take a shot once Red Dawn cleared the warship. Best chance was fast, surprise, and more fast. Luck would be nice. As Sonya hit the pulse drive she flipped the thrusters to give them a corkscrew roll as they approached Pegasus. Figuring out where they were going would be tricky enough for those on Red Dawn, harder for pursuit. Or that was the plan. Then 'burn baby burn' |

MEANWHILE... ABOARD THE HMS PEGASUS The Bridge of the Pegasus was quite large with top of the line equipment and a large reinforced window at the helm. Multiple Officer's were moving about as Commander Wilco stood in the center of the Bridge looking directly out the helm at Red Dawn, waiting for the next move. His hands were rested behind his back as he looked at the multiple pilots at the Console. "Sir! They are charging us! Shall I fire?" Commander Wilco held his hand up, obviously surprised at the actions of the one Piloting the Red Dawn. "'Negative Lieutenant. Too close to the Baroness. We will get them in due time." MEANWHILE... ABOARD THE RED DAWN Sonya had disengaged Red Dawn from the Baroness as the two Federal Agents were sucked out of the Airlock and rolled along side of the ship before bouncing off into the black. After a few fancy moves she charged at the Alliance Warship, Pegasus - then came the full burn. The engine got so hot that it started to shine a red glow into the cargo bay. The noise was intense, like it was building up a heavy pitched tone ready to explode. Then... All became quiet as the engine released the full burn, activating it's sub thrusters and launching Red Dawn in a bright orange haze over the Pegasus and gone... The Pegasus faded from view as the full burn continued for several minutes before cooling off. The engine was making a loud clanking sound as smoke poured out of it, filling the ship with a thick haze. On the console Sonya could see several warning indicators. Fuel status low, Engine Overheated, Broken Turbine Coil. <All Red Dawn Crew continue in "Red Dawn"> |

Khei was able to manuever through the water and pry the vent open, keeping her computer dry. The vent led to the left or right as water started to rush after her. In Docking Bay B, The Federal Agents were treating their wounded when two men in suits exited into the bay from an airlock. The men were wearing blue gloves and appeared emotionless. The Squad Leader turned to the two men and snapped to attention. One of the men in blue gloves said dryly "Status report?" The Squad Leader looked over at them, showing signs of dissappointment. "We got the Captain of the ship, but there were others... Some of our men were wounded and they got away and took the Cargo. I will take full responsiblity." One of the men in blue gloves responded coldly. "Indeed you shall." The men in blue gloves pulled a device out from there pockets as it extended. A high pitch noise filled the area as the Federal Agents screamed and howled in pain as they collapsed to the ground, blood pouring out of their eyes and ears. One of the Men with blue gloves got on a Com "We need this area sealed and a clean up team dispatched." |

Right or left. With the diagram still available she quickly looked for which direction would most likely find an exit to safety quickly, choosing that direction with haste. Meanwhile she tapped at her computer to try and stop the water. She was careful to look for possible tells that might warn about another trigger. She made sure to progress forward as quickly as possible while watching for some sort of exit while still trying to work at her computer. Never was multitasking so difficult. Nor was it ever as important as it was now. |

Ian looked over at Mike and shrugged his shoulders. "Might get some parts out of the deal" To the boy he contined. "Lead on McDuff." Weapons ready at his hips he began to follow the messenger. "You comin Mike? |

"Oh I got your back." Instinctively, Michael tugged lightly at the belt-line where his pistols hung from. Becker stepped across some items still scattered in the cargo bay and retrieved his tan coat, picking it up and throwing it on over his shoulders. A few well placed steps over more ship parts brought him behind Ian so that he could follow. |

The young boy nodded, his eyes firing back down to his shoes as he realised he'd addressed the wrong man. He then turned tail and started his way across the dock, heading off into the halls of the Baroness. He would check over his shoulder every minute or so, to ensure the two men were still with him, but otherwise kept a brisk, quiet stride as he walked a few metres ahead. Finally, the trio entered the main bar, a locale they'd only recently left, and the young boy waited by the door as the men checked their weapons. He stood silent, fidgeting with his hands, glancing nervously across the room towards the private booths against the back wall. |

Khei following her computer layout to the right, crawling through the vent. Eventually hacking into the Baroness Utilities worked and with a couple quick codes, the water shut off. As Khei crawled through the vent she landed on a weak point which caused the vent to break open and her to fall into a pile of scrap metal. Miraculously she was not injured. The area she fell into was quite large and she heard a loud humming sound. She saw several gigantic engines spinning in which they emitted a soft glow. She was in the heart of the Baroness. |

Ian had tugged on his Duster and followed the boy. He checked his weapons, again, and went into the bar. He looked around for a familiar face. Falstaff had been here and he had not seen him since. Ian's gaze followed the line of sight the boy's eyes traveled as well. At least he had a destination. |

At least relieved to be out of the ventilation system, Khei surveyed her surroundings. She carefully removed herself from the pile of scrap metal. Must be the engine room. Odd place for a pile of scrap metal though. If I was to place a bomb on a space station, this would be my choice for placement. She had wished she had scanners built into her computer for attempting to find such things. She hoped that the Baroness did have such systems as she hacked back in, looking for just such a scanning system. She kept her eyes open for any more fun lil trigger programs now that she knew she was dealing with another hacker... Or someone who employed another hacker. Finding a scanning system, she would run it in test mode to avoid alarms going off, with the focus first being the current area, searching for any explosive materials that might be contained within a bomb. |

Khei was unable to find any program aboard the space station that scans for explosives. She then heard the cocking of a gun and a male's voice from behind her. "On your knees, Now! Don't turn around!" His voice was familiar, but you couldn't place it. |

Khei groaned, tapped a button to power down her computer and did as she was told. She really didn't feel like getting shot.. Or exploded for that matter. If there truely was a bomb she couldn't do anything about it with a bullet in her brainpan. She kept her hands in the air as she got to her knees. She doubted it would get anywhere but she said the first thing that came to mind, ignoring the fimiliarity of the voice. Look. There's been a mistake... Edited by Khei, Aug 25 2012, 05:19 AM.

The man grabbed her hands and bounded them with rope. He then stepped in front of her, still aiming the revolver at her. He was about 5' 7" with a lanky build. His head was shaved and he had a long scar going down the left side of his face which appeared to have resulted in the loss of his eye as well. "Don't you recognize your old friend, Freddy?" Freddy had aged dramatically since you had last seem him, losing his boyish good looks that you once found attractive. "You betrayed me and the rest of our team, I never thought it was you who were the snitch that turned us over to the Feds. Look what they did to me!" He ran his hand over the scar on his face. |

First her eyes narrowed at the man in front of her. When recognition washed over her, her eyes went wide as if she'd seen a ghost. Her anger flared again when he called her a snitch. I ain't no snitch! That piece of Gos se that Matt recruited was the fed! She sighed, memories flooding back. Her emotions were mixed. One part of her was happy to see someone from the old team. Another part was angry that he would even consider the idea that she had been the cause of the massacre back on Ariel. Still another part of her knew that Fred was the one who put her in the situation she was in at the moment and wanted to slug him in the face. You seriously think I'da ratted us out? If that were true dunchya think I woulda stayed on Ariel? Why, in th' sphinctor o' hell would I have gotten myself stuck on Beylix if'n I was all buddy buddy with th' feds?! |

The young boy led Ian and his sidekick to the stalls near the back of the bar, a few wandering eyes watching the trio as they moved across the large common area. All the regulars knew the young boy - who he was, who he worked for, that he meant business. None of them paid any attention to the trio for long, though, lest they get involved in something they didn't want to. The young boy stopped outside one of the private booths and nodded to the Captain, motioning inside. It was a small, rectangular booth with a comfortable sofa looping in a semi circle around a table. At the table was a bottle of whiskey, yet to be opened, and three glasses. No one else was present, however. "I'll inform my employer that you're here. Please, make yourself comfortable." The boy is suddenly all business, formal and forward, all traces of shyness gone. He then departed, headed to the bar. |

It was with annoyance that Becker had checked in the guns he had made sure to carry with him. Though with the enforcement of the no guns rule, he at least felt as though he was at least on safe ground. He retrieved his weapon redemption token and followed after Ian who in turn followed the boy. Mike was must more vigilant on this visit, looking around the room for anything which may concern them.
Mike had picked up on certain looks they were receiving, along with a shift in the boy's attitude. He liked neither. His eyes narrowed with concern for what was before them. As recommended, he slowly took a seat in the booth and kept his eyes open for whomever would be joining them. "Any ideas what this is all about? Doesn't have anything to do with your recent promotion does it?" He felt now might be an appropriate time to discuss Dugan's new moniker. There was little evidence to suggest it was the cause, but also little else to go on. |
