Sonya kept looking back, ready to hold the door if goodly captain Corso decided to be a little too literal in shutting things up and taking off before their little eclectic gang could get on board. Loyalty always came fast for her. Too fast usually. She watched Remy, spoke with authority. "Remy. Stand up straight, take deep long breaths, you're crunching your diaphram up. Get some good air. Deep." She was ready with a friendly smile if he made eye contact. Everyone being so grumpy and short, she was trying to go the kind and easy route. That her 'suggestion' sounded like she was leading a yoga class had not been her intent. |

Another message popped up on Khei's computer. There is a bomb somewhere on this station. If you tell anyone or try to leave, I will detonate it killing you and everyone here. My, my Fox... How you have grown. Here is a clue. Where the trash sleeps, is where it beeps. |

Cyrus grunted as his old friend grabbed him by the arm, leading him away from the scene. Everything was moving so far. He grabbed the rucksack, eyes still locked on the small girl before him, cowering behind the crates. In one hand he had his doctors bag, looping the rucksack over his other shoulder. Hesitantly, he made his way towards the ship, finally looking away from the younger girl and focusing on Saren as she lead him. If she get's snatched for what we did... He didn't want to think about it. |

Once Corso observed that everyone had boarded the ship, he went to close the airlock. Suddenly another airlock in the docking bay hissed open and without warning a squad of Federal Agents in full tactical gear exited with rifles at the ready. "Goram!" He yelled as he drew his sidearm. Without warning they began firing in his direction as bullets whizzed past him. Corso rolled out of the way and saw Jenna in the line of fire by the crates. He looked back to the open airlock of ship and considered his exit. He was torn, knowing if he left the young girl would be shredded by the gun fire. Taking a chance he fired off several rounds in their direction and forcibly grabbed Jenna by the hand. "If you wanna live, come with me!" He yelled, ducking behind the crates before taking a few more shots at the Feds, hitting one of them in the chest and another in the arm. He ran with Jenna towards the airlock to his ship until a bullet tore in his right leg, causing him to stumble forward. "Go!" He commanded her to get on the ship as he spun around, firing until his weapon was dry. He then looked wide-eyed as his breathing became heavy and time slowed down, his life flashing before his eyes. The muzzle fire of the weapons lit up the area as the bullets ripped through his chest and neck and exploded in blood splatter out of his back. Corso then collapsed to the ground by the airlock door console, his breathing slowing down now. He felt warm and thought to himself. So this is how it ends... Blood began to pool around him from his wounds. The squad of Federal Agents then proceeded to storm the Red Dawn in a tactical formation. |

"And I'm suposed to find this bomb and try to disarm it myself? Great." She swallowed hard. Finding and getting to the trash storage was going to be difficult enough. Disarming a bomb without getting herself or anyone else killed was going to be tricky. She checked her pocket to make sure her small travel tool case was on her before excusing herself from the docks that held Glory. I hate to do this but somethin's come up. Er. There's somethin' I gotta take care of. There's a full set of electrical tools in my pack. Feel free to use em. I swear I'll be back as soon as I can. |

This was the reason Jenna hated guns. Way too many stupid people were allowed to carry them. Jenna quickly peeked around the edge of the crates and saw someone running towards her who reached out and grabbed her hand.
Jenna decided that listening would be the best idea and she ran. As the bullet hit the guy’s leg he stumbled and let her go. She kept running hopping that the guy was still behind her. As she turned around to check on him she saw him get hit several more times and fall. “Crap.” She ran back to where he had fallen and tried to pull him towards the ship. “Come on it would be a really bad idea if you died here. “ She ran back to where he had fallen and tried to pull him towards the ship. She continued trying to pull the body closer to the ship but shortly realised that it was a futile effort and crumpled on the floor pulling her knees up to her chest and started shaking. Joseph stood there silently as Corso moved away and out the airlock. Man of many words, I like it. Unsure of what the Captain had headed off to do, Joseph instead headed deeper into the ships cargo bay, looking for any exit, or maybe even, a bed? Yeah, this day had been interesting enough to warrant a well earned forty winks. But his dreams of contemplative silence were easily broken, by the sound of distant gunfire no less. He turned in response, hand firing to his sidearm and eyes narrowing on the entrance hatch, down the length of the bay. As the external gunfire continued, flurries of blasts here and there, the shots rang louder. Closer. Automatic rifles by the sound of it, but something else. Small arms fire, the Captain putting up a fight. The pistols round rang out, again and again, before falling silent. They were followed by a roaring response of rifle fire, and then, silence. One short fire fight. He un-holsted his pistol, ensuring a round was in the chamber, safety off, ready for whatever was to come, and took cover behind one of the many large crates, hoping they weren't packed with explosives. Come to think of it, he took turned to look at the side of one of the crates, trying to asses what might be inside. |

Gulliver stepped back out of Captain Corso's way, her determination not to let the doors shut without everyone getting on stifled by the actual presence of said Captain. But everyone was on board. So... As the shooting started she was just out of their line of sight, all she knew was Corso leapt out of the door way somewhere outside. Sonya took a peek and saw guards shooting at them. Or more precisely Corso. She tried to react. Froze a moment. If she went with him, she'd just be a target... her guns! She turned and hurried to open up the duffle. The target weapons were small calibre, but well aimed they might... The gunfire continued. Could she really shoot some mook guard doing their minimum security wage job? It was taking to long, would take too long to get the guns out and assembled anyway. She stood and looked out. Tried to think, slapped the side of her head a couple of times to get an idea. "little help?" she asked the assembled inside her head. As usual, they had no immediate opinion. 'they're just me anyway, why would they ... ' like that rationalization ever worked. Corso was racing back to the ship, and being gunned down. A little girl was under his wing. He went down. Sonya swallowed something trying to get up out of her throat, looked over to where 'Val' had been rooting around, he had a gun out. "here they come." she told him. And then bang, she was off with a sprint. Zig zag... 'serpentine' ran through her head, but a direct path she took. A few fast steps and a sliding stop on the slick faux velvet pants and she slid next to Jenna. "You better come with me.." She never liked being called kid. Or Girl. Especially when she was one, "... miss." Gulliver didn't wait, she scooped Jenna up with her left arm, hoping for no resistance and ran for the Red Dawn. More than one soldier had told her you never hear the one that gets you. Did Corso hear em? And how did they ruttin' know that exactly? Edited by Tojoyama, Aug 18 2012, 09:06 AM.

Joseph could see that the crates were made of thick steel and a heavy duty lock secured each of them. The Blue Sun logo was clearly marked on each crate. |

Cyrus reached the ship, Saren just ahead of him, moments before the shouting and gunfire started. The small girl, still hiding back behind hte crates, was clearly the destination of their new traveling buddy, Corso, as he dashed passed the old man, towards the gunfire. Cyrus didn't have time to react. By the time he'd fully assessed the situation from the small amount of cover he could find near the airlock to the ships cargo bay, Corso was shot and likely killed, while the young girl sat there beside his body and Sonya, the feisty one, went running out into the fray. The old man looked at Saren, who he'd ensured was now behind him, and then across the Joseph. The man had that look on his face - the one that said I'm grasping for a plan, but there doesn't seem to be one. The old man had never been a fan of that look. He crouched as low as he could behind some crates, passing his doctors bag to Saren behind him. She knew him well enough by now to know that there was more than medical supplies in there. She was most likely a better shot, too... If it comes to that. "It's loaded." He said as quietly as he could without the sound of his voice being drowned out by the nearing gunfire. His revolver was indeed loaded, sitting as a dead weight in the bottom of his bag, ready for bloodshed. Bloodshed he had never seen coming. "Is he breathing?!" The old man shouted out, his question directed to Sonya and the new, younger girl. Whoever was listening, really. |

Just as Michael had expected, as soon as Dugan was back on his feet he was focused on Glory. Mike smiled at the confirmed characteristic and followed his captain as they made trails back to the ship.
"Something's come up?" Michael asked with a questioning tone. It struck him as an odd occurrence for someone, who was simply staying on Baroness to find a job, to develop matters that needed attending to. What ties could she possibly have on this random stay spot? "Everything okay?" |

Khei knew that everything could be a lie. That there was no bomb or anything of the sort but she wasn't willing to call a bluff on something like this. She forced a smile at Mike's questioning tone. She knew there was few viable lies she could tell so she went with the most logical and least suspicious one she could get away with. She rubbed the back of her head with her hand and feigned minor embarrassment. It's nothing too critical but I gotta take care of it now.. Er.. feminin' thing is all. I'll be back shortly. Without waiting to explain further she headed back toward the bar. When she was out of sight she began pulling up a diagram of the station looking for trash collection areas. Wait a sec.. Maybe I'm being to literal.. Trash could also refer to thugs they lock up. So there might be a sort of temp prison on this station. She scanned the diagrams as carefully as she could for logical places where a bomb could be placed to effectively destroy the entire station. |

A Map appeared on Khei's computer with a blinking red dot that showed a maintenance elevator just outside of the bar. It appeared to lead down to a trash collection area in the very bottom of the space station, just below the cell block area. |

As good a place as any to start looking. She headed for the maintenance elevator indicated on the map. Meanwhile she slid her Ident card into het computer and ran a prgram to code her card as one Alexis Tanner, maintenance inspector. It would hopefully quell any questions as to why she would be down there. Here goes nothin' |

Jenna looked up at Sonya as she helped her up. She knew that she would be a lot safer on the ship so she didn’t put up a fight and went with her. Once in the ship she pulled away from Sonya and scampered to find a safe place to hide. Once hidden amound the crates she sat down and closed her eyes hopping that nothing else was going to happen. |

Upon approached the maintenance elevator you noticed that it required a key card access via a control panel affixed to the wall. A custodian slowly began walking towards your direction with a mop and a bucket. He looked at you briefly and nodded and then headed down the corridor. |

Khei gave a light nod in return. She tapped at her computer to make herself look official, straightening her glasses and appearing as much like a person of importance as she could. Excuse me. I need to get down to trash collection for inspection. Might you be headed down there? You're cooperation would be appreciated. I'm behind schedule as it is. |

Khei frowned and folded her arms, feigning looking indignant. She really didn't want to have to try and hack the access panel if she could avoid it. She tried once more. Very well.. But I'll have you know that this will go on my report. I hope your employer is willing to overlook such incompetence. I'd hate for you to lose your job. |

"Is he breathing?!" The old man shouted out, his question directed to Sonya and the new, younger girl. Whoever was listening, really. Sonya half shrugged as the little one scampered away. "Took three or four, right through him. One in neck." She grimmaced. She hadn't really thought about what she'd witnessed, Corso being gunned down. Her hand reached to shut the ship's doors to the airl lock and the release. She missed. Turned to look and hit the buttons on the second try. There weren't many options as to where the bridge might be. Up the stairs. She went through the usual configerations of such sized ships in her head, without thinking. Gulliver wasn't doing much thinking now, just staying in motion. "I'll see if I can fly us outa here." Right, with Alliance guardsmen at the door and who knows how many fighters close by. She ran for the stairs. |
