Success, the system worked. At least partially. Without intending to do so, he'd unlocked something behind him, the faint clicking sound echoing it's way up the corridor of steel and bars. Now, a message flashed onscreen. Joseph paused, seemingly frozen in thought. There were good ideas, there were bad ideas, then there was making go-se up as you went along, which seemed to be the order of the day.

Open all Cells? Well, the computer seemed so polite, and it'd be rude not to. He tapped at a key to confirm, then looked to Sonya who had appeared at his shoulder. Backseat escapists. Wonderful. "She's all yours." he said with a nod, backing away from the console and twisting on the spot to face one of the banks of lockers with an empty stare. One of these had to be the right one.

He approached the first one, tapping at the door lightly with one of his fingers to be sure, before pulling it open and taking a step to one side, letting the contents fall or hang or do whatever it is they wanted, he paid no attention, instead he kept moving, pulling at each locker handle in turn before moving on. Opening the last locker in this row with a flourish, he took a few steps back and peered into the cold, item filled coffins.

Remy slapped himself on the face get with it man he thought to himself. He watched as Jones made his way to another cell, seemingly knowing someone else in the jail. Karma came into Remy's head. He was a firm believer in it. Karma had seemed to bring Jones here for whatever reason, to find his friend, and to help her escape. But Karma had a funny way of bringing them here, via someones death. What had Remy done to deserve this treatment? He didn't know, but maybe it would be revealed to him in the long run.

Val seemed to be having problems with tech, but Remy wasn't going to be much help there, he knew his way around computers and the like, but the ones that he knew, going to a different one, and him trying to help, would only hinder what they were trying to achieve.

Sonya took over, and Remy saw Val opening stuff. That's when he saw his stuff, falling to the ground. He ran over, and started to get what he needed. He found a small satchel, enough to carry a weeks worth of clothes, he took what he found of his, and packed as much clothing as he could into said satchel. He found his tea set, whilst others may think it was strange to bring with him, he didn't, the tea set was one of the first things you were given when training, and it had been with him since his a in his adolescence. He threw out some of the clothing, making room for his tea set. He grabbed all his cred and Ident Cards and the like, finally he came to a box. He opened it, and there was his weaponry. He used it mainly for decoration in his room at the Companion House, but it had value to him, it was his fathers. He pulled out the sai's the belt that accompanied it, wrapping it round his waist, and picking up his shuriken, breaking the box it was displayed in, and putting them in his pocket, not the best place, but the only free space. Finally he pulled his kantana blade and its case, he strapped it to his back, and he was ready to leave.

He then started to go through all the other stuff on the floors, it wasn't his, but being on the run, they would need all they could get, he started to take as much cred, and whatever he thought would help them in the long run. Karma was going to get him back for this.

As Joseph selected the option to open all cells, there was a series of clicking noises down the corridor. All the Cells were unlocked. Corso slid the gate open and ran over to the lockers, grabbing his belongings. He slid his gunbelt back on and holstered his sidearm, a six shot revolver, upgraded with high speed mechanism's. He then turned to the group. "Grab your things and let's go!" He sounded hurried as he ran to the other end of the corridor, looking up to the hatch.

Ian listened to the too nice in the morning Nurse and slowly nodded his head

Ruttin PiGu, it hurt, he thought

The Nurse was right, though, it would be good to get his own clothes on and out of the hospital gowns with their purpetually open backs.

He started to move in the direction indicated and Mike burst in on the sceen.

from Becker

"Got your Ident Card."

He smiled his crooked smile

"Yer late." was what he said.

He took his IDent and gave it to the Nurse for her to run and opened the closet, dropped his gown and started getting dressed.

His back bore all the signs of a rough, hard life with scars of knife wounds and ols bullet holes. even a few taletell signs of a few burns were noticable against the tapestry of his well muscled back.

It wasn't a heavily muscled back, more wirey, but impressive none the less. At least he liked to think so.

He slipped into his BVD's and black jeans, tee shirt and vest, before turing around and speaking to Mike again.

"Since your here, I'd gather the ship is mostly OK?"

Once he got the affirm he continued

"It's gonna take a lot of work and we're gonna owe a lot of markers, but it will be worth it."

He paused as he tied his last boot lace.

"I didn't lose my coat did I"

Then he muttered someting that sounded like, "Janice Joplen gave me that coat"

"She's a little crispy on the bridge," he answered, admitting the state that the fire had left the ship in. "But we're not setback much further than we already were." That's how Michael figured it, the fire damage was just another speed bump on Glory's road to recovery. Dugan confirmed the work required.

"I didn't lose my coat did I" ... "Janice Joplen gave me that coat"

Mike gave a single gasp of a laugh, he was always amused by the many references to different girls that Ian had. If the man had one addiction, it was women.

"Khei's got your coat." He glanced back, figuring her to be somewhere behind him. "She came to be quite helpful when the chips were down. Extinguished that fire and saw to your head before I carried you down here."

Michael held the door open until Dugan could get a hand to it and exit the room.

Ignoring the fluster of activity around him, Nick downed his drink and looked around. Maybe it was time to get out there, travel the 'Verse and see some sights, and maybe learn a thing or two before he settled down to join a crew. He left the glass and some credits on the bar, and lifted his satchel onto his shoulder. He checked his cortex link and found a cruiser setting off for the outer rim near Boros, and it was leaving in ten minutes. Figuring Boros was as good a place as any to get started exploring, he left the bar and walked down the silver hallways and boarded the cruiser, paying for a ticket at the gate. He was off to more adventures, and would definitely return eventually, to tell the tale.

Sonya was definitely not letting everyone miserable ape and station rat out, not until she had a good look around using the cams. As the cells clicked open she turned, "not me." Then she stepped away from the console, maybe it was motion sensitive.

"hoo boy." this could get ugly.. "Hey! That's my stuff." she yelled. Remy was dangerously close to opening up her private little night bag with creams and pajamas and little travelling mechanical things for the nether regions.

All her things were here, they must have used the chit they took when they brought them in and retrieved her goods. She was never going to be able to carry everything. Sonya didn't care so much about the night bag, though she'd miss it. She went straight for the long duffle exercise bag, it with her gear and guns and cash.

After tossing it over her shoulder and letting the straps catcher her shoulders she looked for Corso. He was already almost gone.

"Come on." she said, though she wasn't sure who she was talking to. She might be better off without these guys.

There was a flurry of activity behind Cyrus while he waited for the cells to unlock, enough to gather his attention. He turned away from Saren briefly, eyeing off his new traveling companions. Joseph, or 'Val', seemed to have got the console working in his favour only a few seconds later, the cell between Cyrus and his old friend clicking open.

"Not bad." He called across to Joseph, still offering a hearty grin, and then turned back to the young lady as he pulled the cell door open. His mood had definitely escalate, even if their situation had not. He held a looped arm to Saren, pretending not to worry too much over her bruised face and limbs.

"Shall we?" He said quietly, soothingly, just as Corso started calling out commands.

Corso was feeling the paneling on the way at the far end of the cell block corridor. He then felt a hidden switch in the wall and pulled it, releasing a mechanized ladder that descended to the ground. He then looked to the rest of them and grabbed the ladder with one hand, looking over at the group wondering why they were taking so long. He paused momentarily, about to leave them all behind.

Remy took as much as he could, he had his belongings which he knew were coming with him, and now it was just cred really, there wasn't much, but hopefully it would all help in the long run.

Remy looked up as he heard someone talk to him, it was Sonya, he moved away as she started to grab her things, he wanted to help her, but the words wouldn't come out, the adrenaline was rushing through his body and his heart was pumping double time.

The next thing he knew all the cells doors were open, and he had just been taking creds from their belongings, he wasn't going to be a very liked man. He heard Sonya say 'come on' whether she was talking to him or not, he didn't care, he started to follow her as they made their way to Corso.

The cells doors opening would probably work in their favor, as they wouldn't have been the only ones who escaped today, the Feds (if called in) would have a hard time finding everyone, so hopefully they would be able to slip under the radar. Maybe just maybe, they were going to get away with this, without any real repercussions.

"Ain't that something, now." The words came from further down the row of cells, a calm and foreign accent none of the escapees had heard before. There was something initially unsettling about it.

As the doors had swung open, the entire prison block now open wide, a large man emerged from one of the larger cells down the end of the row. He was shirtless at the time, a pair of combat boots and dark brown cargo pants the only personal effects on his person. His face was an ugly sight, a mixture of scars and wrinkles making a fearsome sight, his eyes covered by a pair of slim black sunglasses.

Everyone in the cell block seemed to stop what they were doing simultaneously and stare down the long hall, a deep silence falling, only broke by the heavy this of the mans boots as he slowly made his way towards the security panel Joseph was manning. His long, filthy black hair swayed to and fro as he walked, down to his shoulders and smelling of oil and alcohol and cigarettes.

"Don't fear, now. I wouldn't be so bold as to crash your party." He reached the security panel, eyes seemingly locked on Joseph as he slowly, methodically reached down to one of the lower lockers and pulled it open, taking out a long belt, empty holster included, and a matching military grade jacket to go with his pants, both of which he casually put on. The entire time, through those expressionless glasses, the man stared at Joseph.

Finally, he was equipped, and tool a step back from the panel, readjusting his jacket.

"No." He repeated, now looking around at everyone individually. "Your little party does look... tempting... but I fear I have other places to be. People to see. You know..." For a few moments he seemed to zone out before the smile came back to his face and he took a few steps towards the main cell block doors, bowing back towards the group.

"My sincere thanks... carry on." He turned to the doors control panel, punched in a few digits on the keypad as if he did it every day, then happily waltzed out to the hall beyond, the doors closing securely behind him.

Joseph stood back against the wall for a moment, looking the length of the cell block with a wide smile and admiring the view, not exactly his first time doing so, but circumstances can add an otherwise missing flavour to life. He licked his lips and let the moment of enjoyment pass after a few seconds, enough of that for one day.

Instead he turned his attention to Remy, searching through the small pile of fallen items like an industrious little badger. Who siad Companions were always after your money, eh? Nonsense. They'd probably take your watch off you too, hell even the clothes off your back, for a certain price of course.

At first glance he couldn't see any of his own items, and the thought of having the forcibly search Remy, maybe throw him across the room for old times sake, passed through his mind. But no, instead he glanced from side to side, his keen eye spotting one remaining locker which had stubbornly remained closed despite his best, yet rushed, efforts.

Walking over to it, he again attempted to open it a light tug of the handle. No such luck. This was followed by a violent yet precise kick to the base of the door, and then another light pull. Open sesame. Sitting on a shelf at around chest height, reflecting the harsh prison lighting awkwardly into his eyes sat a small, unremarkable lighter. He grabbed it without a moments hesitation. Beside this a tattered book, Cortex unit and two odd looking balls, which he also pocketed.

Finally, hanging from a hook attached to now dented, open locker door, was a black material belt. On one side a pistol holster, on the other what looked to be a padded handle, two raised nubs on each end, but nothing else attached to it, attached to a clip. In one long, fluid movement, the belt was removed, his coat flew open and up to accomodate, and it was quickly secured around his waste. He reached into the back of the locker, grabbing the handful of clips he'd managed to recently scrounge.

Joseph smiled to himself, to the world in general, as he turned away from the now empty locker to see the Corso fleeing into the ceiling up a ladder from the heavens. Or more precisely, the escape route. And that wasn't all, another escaped prisoner had approached them, calmly.

The man seemed to stare Joseph out of it, yet, there was something about him. His eyes, filled with calm, lost in his thoughts as he went through the motions of gearing up. He spoke to them, to Joseph in particular, getting no reply but a curt nod from the man. When he went to exit out the main cell block door, Joseph took a step after the man, but instantly thought better. They hadn't come this far just to die in a last crusade. No, he let the fellow leave, waiting to ensure the door sealed behind him.

"Enjoy your freedom." he said after the man, voice half bitter, half uncaring.

As the door finally shot, Joseph had just finished removing his pistol from the holster, he slipped a magazine into it thumbed a round into the chamber. "Quickly, go." he said to the group of assembled prisoners, motioning them toward the ladder with his pistol. "I'll cover."

"Shall we?"
"The sooner the better, old man" she said with a grin. As they began to walk back towards the lockers, Saren noticed Cyrus limping back most of the way. "Gorram old fool has been up to no good again. Guess I can't complain, seeing my current predicament." She thought to herself.

When they got to the lockers, Saren got a little shock from the amount of people attempting this jail-break. "I guess we're going with them?" she asked Cyrus. Wherever he went, she would now too.

She let go of Cyrus to gather her things, her compound bow that her father had given to her on her 18th birthday, her wrist glove that had been confiscated due to its hidden blade, and her small satchel, containing the few momentos of her family that she could save.

"Looks as though I'm ready to go. Are you?" she asked Cyrus.

A moment after she had looked at Cyrus, a big some-what creepy man came up to the lockers. Saren kept her eyes on him, scared that he might start something. She didn't pay attention to what he said, instead she just kept wishing him to leave. By the time he had left, Saren felt a wave of content flow through her. Something about him just gave her the creeps. "I hope I never have to see that guy again..." she thought to herself.

"Looks like the only way is up!" she said to Cyrus, gesturing him to go before her.

Saren

"The sooner the better, old man" she said with a grin.
The old man nodded in agreement, leading her back to the lockers where the rest of the group had assembled. None of them had paid much attention to his brief absence, though he saw both Joseph and the companion offer glances to the young lady by his side. Cyrus started to open his mouth to explain, but the entrance of the hulking figure on the scene stopped him.

He stood quietly, watching the newcomer move through the group, assemble himself, speak (seemingly to Joseph) and then make his leave. The whole time the old medic just watched, waiting for trouble to begin. Nothing happened, though, but he noted the instinctive hand he'd placed on Sarens shoulder when the newcomer drew near.

The cell block doors closed again and the stranger was gone as quickly as he had arrived, despite the exchange feeling like a lifetime. Once he was gone, Cyrus let out a quiet sigh and eyed Joseph, raising one eyebrow. Was that as odd to ya'll as it was for me...? he mused quietly, not saying anything.

Joseph

"Quickly, go." he said to the group of assembled prisoners, motioning them toward the ladder with his pistol. "I'll cover."
Cyrus nodded at this, seeing his new companion 'lock n load', and he turned his attention first to Saren, then to the hatch in the ceiling that seemed to be their only escape.

"Friends..." The word came naturally, unmockingly, as the old man realised they were the closest thing he had to acquaintances for the time being, "... this is an old friend of mine. Name's Saren. If you can trust me, you can trust her - no doubt formal introductions can wait a little, yes?" And with that he reach for the first rung of the ladder, reaching down to grabhis rucksack and doctors bag that had fallen to the floor nearby.

Saren

"Looks like the only way is up!" she said to Cyrus, gesturing him to go before her.
Cyrus nodded, placing another hand on the ladder, moving as quickly as he could behind Coros as they ascended.

Sonya just waited for Corso to lead on. She took the moment to size up the chaos and those that presumably were part of her party. A nod to the new member, Saren. Gulliver tried to make a concerted effort to look determined and formidable, but most she struggled a little with the large duffle strapped on her back.

'get your game face on and see it. then you do it' Sonya nodded to herself.

It was heavy, that wasn't much of a problem, but it was also bulky. She looked over the ladder quickly to see how she was going to navigate it behind Corse, and any opening she'd have to get through. Then attention back to the others before she committed to the climb.

Corso ascended the ladder to the hatch where he unhooked it. The hatch then swung open and hung there. He proceeded into the hatch where there was various wires and piping that appeared to be the inner workings of the space station. The ladder continued upwards for quite a distance in a small tunnel like area. It was dimly lit, just enough to see. He then saw a box that had several outputs to it that was labeled 'Security Footage' and appeared to be recording with a red blinking light. Gripping the wires of the box he ripped them out as sparks lit up the area. The blinking red light slowly faded. For added measure he bashed the box open and destroyed the circuit boards. "Well that solved the problem of our faces being broadcasted everywhere." He continued up the ladder which was getting to be very cramped until he reached another hatch which he slowly cracked open.

Corso popped his head out and then shouted below. "All clear." He then heaved the hatch open and climbed up and out into Docking Bay B. "There it is. Airlock B17." He pointed to a sealed airlock door and started heading towards it. The Docking Bay was unusually empty and quiet, void of any other souls.

Remy stood there, waiting for Corso to make his move so they could all leave the place, when a big burly man came towards them, Remy lifted his arm to grab the hilt of his sword on his back, he wasn't going to use it, but intimidation factor was needed, especially as he was intimidated by the man heading towards them. The man then just opened a door, said thanks, and left. It was strange, here they were following a man who they barely knew, apparently climbing a ladder to get to get to a boat, and another man, from out of nowhere, just opens a door and leaves, completely zen like. Remy took his hand off his sword.

Val talked to the man, not impressed, and then Jones turned up with the someone he knew, Saren. Remy nodded at her, usually he would have at least smiled, but he was too pumped with adrenaline to even think about it. Acknowledgement would have to be sufficient.

Corso climbed the ladder, followed by the other, Val it seemed was taking the tail end, to cover them, Remy waited for Sonya to climb, then followed her. As he climbed he saw the remnant of what was the security footage tapings, he was glad of this, it was one more obstacle for the feds to try and find out who they were, let alone finding them.

Before he knew it, they were at the dock, and freedom was at hand. Although the dock was quiet, too quiet.

Eyes locked on the door through which a man had just escaped, Joseph held his pistol at head height, sighting down it's length with a grim look on his face. He broke the stare every few seconds, eyes darting back to assess the status of the ladder based escape. Slow but steady, and so far not a peep from any further security officers. Strange.

Once the last of the crew were up the ladder and on their way, he carefully slipped the weapons safety on and returned it to its holster with a relieved sigh. Moving to the base of the ladder, he paused, taking one last look around the cell block, holding back a grin. He placed a hand on the ladder and looked up, rising up the bars steadily, clang by clang.

Upon reaching the point at which the ladder met the hatch, he looked down and began feeling along the edges, looking for the switch Corso had originally used. Bingo. The switch was knocked back into its original position, the base of the ladder once more ascending below him. Quickly, before it could reach, he leaned out and with the tip of his fingers found hold on the edge of the hanging hatch, pulling it up and into place below him. No point in advertising their escape route, plus it always helped to have an unknown backdoor out of somewhere, especially a space station cell block.

With all that lark out of the way, Joseph was once again on the move, up the ladder after his new comrades.. He paused the destroyed security feed box without comment, unknowing in what Corso had just done to clear their names, but it did feel a lot easier to move forward, unrelated probably.

From up ahead he heard the all clear, and quickened his pace, didn't want to get left! The worried head of Joseph appeared from the floor hatch, rising up carefully, eyes scanning every line and corner of the empty docking bay. "Fine spot for an ambush." he couldn't help but say, instinctually thinking to reach for his pistol as soon as he'd reached his feet. Corso pointed out the exact airlock, B17, just one of two dozen or so empty arches in the distance. He could almost taste the freedom.

It got too tight. Sonya had to slip the duffle off her shoulders and let it drag more alongside and behind her. It made climbing more difficult, one arm to pull her up the ladder, or more like hold her steady; she let her legs to the work. The other arm held the duffle just below her. She could have just dropped it, but wouldn't have. The clog it would have made with those below her... Gulliver let a out a slight giggled snort.

Then they were out. '17?' Corso had said B, she didn't catch the 17. So were they close to Glory? No, far from it. But still, she could get there.

'A17' , That was what Becker had shouted. 'becker'. She wondered who else was still with Ian Dugan. So, time to choose. A quarter of the way around the station, who knows what would block her. But was it the distance, or something else?

She hurried after Corso, "Hey. You on the level. Fast?" She meant the ship. "Going to give me ride - where I want when we finish?" Sonya cocked her head a bit and narrowed her eyes, suggesting he might not be well served to turn that into some kind of innuendo.

'and how come he knows so much about this skyplex?'
'yes, that is troublesome.'
'or an indication of his skills and abilities'

Sonya seemed to consider something as she hurried and waited for Corso to convince her, which wouldn't take much. Glory offered something, from before. She needed a new direction.
