honestly, i don't really mind, so its fine with me

but what really annoys me are transexuals..

its as if they're saying they don't appreciate what god made them so they have to dress, talk, and act like the opposite gender.. -_-

thats ok.. i understand it if some people really can't accept the idea of same sex relationships

its like they say, when you can't understand something, you either fear it, or in this case hate it.. ;)

majority hate it, i can see that

I don't think it's that everyone is being close-minded at all. You have to understand and accept that people have each their own principles, beliefs and religions. I'm a very open-minded person but that doesn't mean I accept anything and everything. Being open-minded doesn't mean that. It only means you have the capacity to acknowledge there are some things you may not stand for that other people stand by. And that you are willing to sit down and find out for yourself if your convictions have holes. And some people have - have sat down and found out they're completely right. Affirmed, they stand by what they believe in.

So to me yes, guy-guy and girl-girl relationships do exist, but no I do not accept it as right. I mean so far, it has only brought those involved only problems because they cannot stay together normally/legally/whatever. Because what they have is not normal/legal/whatever. Just look at our bodies alone - the man's body fits and complements the womans body in a way another woman cannot and vice versa. Sure it might be great at the start- exciting and there might even be love but it doesn't stay that way.

Now if I'm going to be taken as a close-minded self-righteous bigot for what I've just said, whoever, maybe you ought to sit down yourself and find out if what you believe in is as staunch as you think.

whoa.. haha

wasn't expecting that,

i didn't say that all people here were close-minded, i was just stating that most of them don't accept the idea based on what they've been posting., no need to lash out on that /gawi

i know what being open-minded means, thanks for the information though

for the whole complimentary part of man and woman, its all about personal preference.. if these people want to be together then so be it, they aren't bothering anyone. so drop it, leave them be. just because society doesn't label them as normal doesn't mean they aren't human anymore

try not to speak on their behalf, how would you know how gay relationships fair? there are dozens of people who have stuck to one partner longer than some straight relationships -_-

if you're born homosexual/bisexual these are the kind of punches that you have to take daily unless you want to lie to yourself and live up to society's norms

as for yourself, i don't know who you are either so sorry if you saw my post as a target towards you or any other person /^^"

i wasn't labeling you and all those who don't accept it as 'close-minded bigots', as you put it..

i just wished that their were more people who would open their eyes to homo/bisexual individuals and accept them for who they are.. in most cases theres more hostility going around than acceptance as what i've seen here

@Shaolei:
Hmm.. Sorry you think I meant only you.. I didn't /heh The only reason I really quoted you was that you said there are many close-minded people here and that's the point I wanted to discuss - that not everyone was being close-minded and why I think so.

Then I said some other stuff I wanted to say regarding the topic which was addressed to everyone in general, not just to you, as I haven't posted here yet. /^^" My mistake.

So you didn't need answer all my points, I wasn't accusing you of anything, swear. :) And I did say "If" right? I didn't say you did label me that.. But don't say you didn't label the others close-minded because you did.. And I'm not lashing out, just being real

"just because society doesn't label them as normal doesn't mean they aren't human anymore" - that's an overused cliche (yes doble doble na, sobra kc tlga eh) that means absolutely nothing. No one ever claims gay people are not human. Ever. Ever ever. Or even imply it.

I have gay friends who are very human. They're not less human than I am.

@ all:
So let me summarise where I stand again. Yes, there are gay people. And that's all right. And also yes, guy-guy and girl-girl relationships do exist, but no I do not accept that as right. That's all. :)

alright alright, sorry if i misunderstood.. you directly quoted my post so i thought it was aimed towards me

as for the over-used cliche, its over-used because its true. i'm applying it to personal experience and crimes committed on some individuals because of the fact that they were gay. just because these people prefer same gender relationships, there have been cases of them being harrassed, raped, tortured, murdered..

if they're humans too then why are they being treated like they're some kind of disease to our society? the ignorance of some can result to such. its a simple request really, we just want to be looked at as an equal to everyone else

I see.. But that's not solely because they're gay, believe it or not. There are people who just hate. They hate. Period. So those horrible crimes you mentioned falls under hate crimes. These people who hate, they hate anything they think should be hated. They can hate blacks if they're whites, they can hate whites if they're blacks, they can hate black-haired people if they feel like /heh And they can hate gay people. They're such easy targets, you see. So, it's not just the gay people. You see what I'm getting at?

A disease to society? I don't think so, the haters do. And those who are indeed close-minded. They don't like different people. Gays are still human, no doubt about that but it's because they're different that the haters target them. The only reason why these crimes are being commited to blacks, Asians, gays and that little girl next door is because of hate.. which is in the heart and hard to change.

hear hear ;)

discrimination is the key to all hate.. very true, you have good points /no1
hate can come from a misunderstanding about anyone (black, gay, asian, mexican, etc)

if we learned to embrace eachother's differences there won't be as much as these crimes circulating around the world.

now i'm not forcing you all to accept gay behavior but kindness and politeness is always a good way to make new friends.. gay or not ^_^
