~*Lady_Paige*~'s Guide Contents: Chapter I Introduction Chapter II Why An Aco/Priest? Chapter III As A Novice Chapter IV Becoming A Member of the Holy Order { Being an Aco } Chapter V Where to Level Up! { As An Aco } Chapter VI Skills To Get { Aco Skills } Chapter VII A Protector of Souls { Being a Priest } Chapter VIII Where to Level Up! { As A Priest } Chapter IX Types of Builds Chapter X Skills To Get { Priest Skills } Chapter XI Skills {Comments} Chapter XII Proposed Equipments Chapter XIII Notes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter I Introduction Hello guys Being a priest for almost 1 year and after remaking for almost 5 times I can say that I've already made my own build or more specifically my own skills and I know how hard it is for others who don't have any background w/ priest class jobs before to decide in Skill/Stat allocation and that's why I'm making this guide.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter II Why An Aco/Priest? Well basically Priests are the main support class in Rune Midgard, having Heal, Stat boosting skills coupled {Defensive} w/ Stat decreasing skills {Offensive} , so basically supporting is what they do best. Acos and Priests are for people who love to HELP and support others, and for people who have the patient to listen to "Paheal po pls..." "Pabuffs po pls..." .Well actually its your choice I'm just here to make a guide...so if your reading this then you chose to be an aco. lolz ~.^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter III As A Novice Being a novice is a little hard since you start w/ your skills with: Str:1,Agi:1,Dex:5,Vit:5,Int:9,Luk:9 you can reduce Dex to 1 instead and make Vit 9...it depends on the build your gonna make...if you'll go the old fashion way...make Dex 1 but if you wanna make a WoE/PvP-wise build the make it balanced ^.^ You start of on the Novice training grounds, take the test and choose to become an Aco{kelangan pa bang i-memorize yan ^o^ } w/c will lead you straight to Prontera the Capital of Rune Midgard. Now go off and earn points to your experience, usually a map away per town is Novice area. Start off by killing Fabres and Porings eventually Lunatics,Roda Frogs and Chonchons. After reaching Job level 9{the job level required to change to 1st job } then its time to become an Aco ^o^ . There's a trick here though....often misinterpreted especially by newbies...they say that you should reach Job level 9 but if you look at your Skill points you'll only have 8,so its actually Job level 10 ^o^ . Go inside the Sanctuary{or Church whichever you preffer located at the upper right part of Prontera}. ![]() After entering take the first turn right to meet the Acolyte Job Change NPC. ![]() He'll require you to do a Pilgrimage{acolyte test ^o^} and will set you on a journey to find 1 of the three NPC's, they can be found here: First Ascetist{Father Yosuke} - found Northwest of Prontera, from Pron go Up inside the castle...continue going up until you go through Valkyrie Realm. Go Up until you reach prt_fild01 , from there go Left to Mjolnir_09 ,from there go left again till you reach prt_fild00 where Father Yosuke is found. He's found near the middle, just go a little to your right where you'll see a bridge. To make it easy.....from Pron....go up,up,lef and left. ![]() ![]() Second Ascetist{Father Rukalkabara} - he's found Northeast of Prontera, from Pron go UP inside the castle...continue going up until you make it through Valkyrie Realm. Go up until you reach prt_fild01 , from there go Right to prt_fild02 , this map makes the hardest of the three quests....because of mandragoras[aggre;long range] so be careful when going through here to reach the next map...from here...go Right to reach prt_fild03 , you'll find him at the easternmost part of the map near the portal. To make it easy...from Pron...go up,up,right and right. ![]() ![]() Third Ascetist{Mother Matilde} - Now this is the easiest, just warp yourself to Morroc. From Morroc go North to moc_fild07 you'll see her at the northwest part of the map. ![]() ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter IV Becoming A Member of the Holy Order { Being an Aco } The Acolyte Job Class features powerful healing and helpful support Skills. The Acolyte also excels in fighting the undead and have several skills geared for these types of foes. Due to their pledge to non-violence, Acolytes are limited to Mace and Rod class weapons. You are now part of Midgards support team ^.^ but before that you have to gain levels first. First off kill Porings.Lunatics,Roda Frogs,Pickys and Drops to get level 10 Heal, because it really helps to have level 10 heal very early. Since my leveling guide will be mostly from Undead{w/c is damaged when healed}. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter V Where To Level Up!: {As An Aco} 1-10{Novice} - Porings,Fabres,Roda Frogs,Lunatics,Chonchon 10-15 - Drops,Pickys 15-25 - {Payon} Zombies 25-35 - {Orcville Dungeon} Orc Zombie, Orc Skeleton 35-67 - {Glastheim UnderPrison} Skeleton Prisoner, Zombie Prisoner After getting level 10 heal Head off to Payon...go to the Caves and Healbomb all the way!!! you can pretty much party up w/ any jobs now, coz you can support almost all kinds of Jobs ^o^. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter VI Skills To Get: {Aco Skills} As of now... Priest who made it to Job 50 as an Aco first before changing job to Priest are in demand so I suggest that have patience, and try to make it to job 50 well nweis on to the skills...Now for the Skills: 10 Heal <- basically for maximum heal proficiency ![]() 10 Bless <- Helps a lot ![]() 10 Inc. Agi <- Longer Spell Duration 8 Pneuma Tree ( ruwach->tele[2]->warp[4] ) 5 Divine Protection <- pre-req. for Bless and helps a lot 5 Angelus <- huge help ^_~ 1 Aqua Benedicta Skill Left: None As an Aco...your main stat is Int, depending on your final build your Int may be 99 or 87, but I suggest don't get 99 int right away if your heading the old fashioned way stop at 90 Int then start pumping Vit to level faster. After you get it to atleast 50 then pump to 95 Int then start adding to Vit again til you reach 99 Int and 99 Vit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter VII A Protector of Souls { Being a Priest } The Priest, the advance job for Acolytes, represents the ultimate in party support abilities. With the majority of the Skills dealing in the enhancement of a party's effectiveness in battle, he is needed by other classes both when leveling up and when hunting. In addition to the support skills, the Priest also has enhanced abilities not only against Undead, but also with Demons. More on step by step guide soon.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter VIII Where To Level Up {As A Priest} 67-80 - {Glastheim UnderPrison} Skeleton Prisoner, Zombie Prisoner 80-99 - {Glastheim Castle} Raydrics,Raydric Archers,Wanderers,Ridewords,Abbysmal Knights,Deviruchis Now when you turn into a Priest at level 67 up, you can also level at Aldebaran HO map, just look for a Wizzie or Hunter { I pref. wizzies though ^.^ ). But be forwarned, coz Alde HO map is an FFA{Free For All} map so kill stealing is LEGAL. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter IX Types Of Builds: Stats: I reccomend only two types of builds...the old school w/ 99 int/vit and the WoE type w/ Dex Old School Build: At level 99 and job level 50 your priest should have these stats: Str: 1+5//6 Agi: 1+4//5 Vit: 99+5//104 Int: 99+5//104 Dex: 1+4//5 Luk: 9+7//16 Stat Points Left:1 Pros: I really believe {for me } that this is one of the best builds coz maximizing each stats potential has a dif. than others though little it still makes your aco/priest a solid build ![]() Cons: Well b'coz of WoE and PvP this build lack the dex to counter Strip Armor,Weapon etc...of Rogues though there is a way to protect your equips{ through alchemist potion protections...:) ) it would still be nice to be able to hold up on your own and not rely on alchems {especially oonti lng protectors na alchemist !>_<} Woe/PvP Build: At level 99 and job level 50 your priest should have these stats: Str: 1+5//6 Agi: 1+4//5 Vit: 99+5//104( <- I'll explain later kung bakit 104 yan ) Int: 87+5//92( <- explain ko din later ) Dex: 36+4//40 Luk: 9+7//16 Stat Points Left:14 Pros: Lower chance of being stripped and faster cast time ( hey! minimal cast time means maximizing your support abilities {ex.kyrie, magni} ) Cons: As of now...don't know anything wrong here... Now here's my explanation on why I made Vit w/ 99+5=104: VIT: +1% to MaxHP per point. +0.8 weapon damage reduction (defensive) per point. Healing items effect increased by +2% per point. Every 5 full points of VIT increases HP Recovery Power by 1 (see substats page for more details). For monsters, there is a bonus to damage reduction of rnd(0,[VIT/20]^2-1). For players, there is a bonus to damage reduction of [VIT*0.5] + rnd([VIT*0.3], ma[VIT*0.3],[VIT^2/150]-1)). There is a hidden bonus of +1 Int style MDEF per 2 points. Increasing VIT also decreases the chance of being afflicted by the negative status affects of Poison, Silence and Stun As a Priest your required to have HP recovery, damage reduction,Mdef and Status change as high as possible,so by having 99 Vit would make you almost immune to status changes, high hp recovery etc... My explanation on Int ( 87+5=92 ) INT: +1 Base MAtk per point. +1% to MaxSP per point. SP Recovery items effect increased by +2% per point. Every 6 full points of INT increases SP Recovery Power by 1 and past 120 INT, every 2 INT gives a bonus to SP Recovery Power of 1 (see substats page for more details). A bonus to MinMAtk of (Int/7)^2 total where (Int/7) is rounded down. A bonus to MaxMatk of (Int/5)^2 total where (Int/5) is rounded down. +1 spell damage reduction (defensive) per point. Increasing INT also decreases the chance of being afflicted by the negative status affects of Blind, Sleep and Stone Curse. Having high HP is almost nothing if you don't have high SP to support your HP and it also means you can maximize your use of skills....other reasons are self explanatory...but if you still don't get it{ lolz joke lang } in other words...having high Int means having high Matk(higher heal) ,high SP recovery, high Mdef and etc....~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter X Now on to Priest Skills: I can recommend 2 FS Builds WoE/PvP Build ( <- usual full support build ) 5 Magnifica[n]t 4 SP Recovery <- pre-req. for Resurrection 1 Status Recovery 4 Resurrection 5 Lex Divina 1 Lex Aeterna 10 Kyrie Eleison 3 Suffragium 5 Impositio Manus 5 Aspersio 5 Gloria Skill Point Left:1 <- you can either use this remaining skill on B.S. Sacramenti or Dec. Agi w/c is both usefull on sieges or remove 1 from Aspersio,Gloria or Impositio Manus to have both of them This build maximizes the level of skills to maximize the spell effect....less casting of Gloria,Aspersio or Impo means maximizing your potential in supporting your partymate ![]() MVP/Support Build { SW, Support ) 5 Magnificat 4 SP Recovery <- pre-req. for Resurrection 1 Status Recovery 4 Resurrection 1 Lex Divina 10 Kyrie Eleison 3 Suffragium 3 Impositio Manus 4 Aspersio 1 Gloria 3 Sanctuary 10 Safety Wall This build is my current build I can still use Aspersio,Impositio Manus, and Gloria w/o sacrificing anything plus you have level 10 SW, you can make SW to 5 though and still get Lex Aeterna ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter XII Skills {Comments} ~~**Acolyte Skills**~~ Mostly Acolyte Skills are consisting of Supportive ones as Healing or Blessing. Being a priest for almost 1 year and after remaking for almost 5 times I can say that I've already made my own build or more specifically my own skills
.Well actually its your choice I'm just here to make a guide...so if your reading this then you chose to be an aco. lolz ~.^

so I suggest that have patience, and try to make it to job 50
} that this is one of the best builds coz maximizing each stats potential has a dif. than others though little it still makes your aco/priest a solid build
pero my advice would be to trust your own build...coz by trusting your build....even if your skills aren't almost right you can still support a good party these are merely suggestions and "guide" to help you decide on what your build should be.
