Somewhere in the maze of the LPS financial mess called "bills for payment" there should be a reimbursement to the city of livonia for the cost of running the election through the city clerks office. |

Livonia Public School (LIVONIA portion only) cost of the election totalled 39,371.18 This total included: Printing for only AV Applications (457.50) Assorted Supplies (1,149.47) Precinct Inspectors (29,705.00) Temporary employees (452.25) Election OT or extra compensation paid to regular employees or officials (1,199.79) Postage - AV related, Inspector communications (913.71) Voting Tabulations Equipment Costs (4,738.61) Publications - advertising/notices in LO, WO (591.60) Miscellaneous - AV Counting Board Meal (163.15) This total DID NOT include: Wayne County cost to print the Optical Scan Ballots Cost of election related to LPS voters living in Westland |

So, it's not necessary to FOIA to get a breakdown of costs? How strange that I was told it was necessary to FOIA. |

Info was a result of FOIA. The FOIA detailed everything . . .BIC pens cost $6.20; travel for roving chair $40.00; 1314 AV Ballots that went out bulk rate at a rate of .16 ea cost $210.24 - whereas the 136 AV Ballots that went out first class at a rate of .58 each cost $78.88 THE cost for the election (pertaining only to Livonia residents) is obviously where the Observer based their info on. The 39K does not include the cost incurred in Westland, nor the printing of the ballots by Wayne County. |
