Does Everyday Math meet the needs of ALL children?; Is your child struggling with EM?

Some kids lose out:

-Kids that need the "rules" first. "Discovery" learning is a disaster for them.

-Kids that need drill in order to retain concepts. Games aren't enough.

-Kids who might have a language problem but would be really good at mathematics.
Everyday Math is a language based program. Many students with language weakness (slow readers) have strength in math but are unable to shine because they can't wade through all the wording.

-If your child is mathematically gifted and good in language, this program may not be advanced enough.

Does Everyday Math address the different learning styles of children? According to the publishers of EM:

"When they are first learning an operation, Everyday Mathematics students are asked to solve
problems involving the operation before they have developed or learned systematic procedures
for solving such problems."
Does this work for ALL children?????
