It's always taxing on a parent when their child is placed in the limelight or under scrutiny. |
| I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be WRONG. | |

I just heard through the rumor mill that there is another pre-trial or that he is due in court again next week. Does anyone know if this is true or can they confirm it?This sure seems to be taking a long time to come to a conclusion, what do you think? |

Anything related to the disgrace that is LPS leadership, from the superintendent on down, is kept as hush hush as possible by the 'ol "friends and family". You can bet that the LPS lawyers have been working overtime (and charging the district huge fees that otherwise would be your child's classroom dollars) to keep this as low key as possible. You can also bet the entire farm on the fact that if there is any lawsuit by the families involved, LPS will again pay huge legal fees to ensure it is settled out of court so none of the truth gets out to the public. As the kids nowadays say, and as LPS does... That's how we roll Can you ask the obvious question? How much does LPS spend every year to pay off lawsuits, litigation, settlements, lawyers fees, etc... ALL DUE TO THE INCOMPETENCE OF THE ADMINISTRATION IN CENTRAL OFFICE! Your tax dollars that are supposed to be spent on your child's education are being spent to cover the cost of poor leadership So when does the Board of Education finally get a clue that liepa and his staff are literally STEALING monies from the children's educational funding? THE BIGGER QUESTION IS... WHEN DO THEY START TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? |

Not as long as the "whistleblower" lawsuit. That is over a year old (or is it two?) |

And what is most disgusting is that not one of the public officials that we call our Board of Education really knows the truth about any of these lawsuits. They are purposely kept in the dark by the LPS administration so they cannot make informed decisions that may negatively affect the Superintendent, his staff, or select members of the districts inner circle. |

What's up with the bus parapro who assaulted two students? When is the trial? Has this been discussed at a BOE meeting lately? Shouldn't the admin be updating the BOE on the status of pending lawsuits? BTW, whatever happened to the Margaret Flowers lawsuit? What is taking so long? |

I had read in a December edition of the Observer that they were due back in court on the 13th of January I believe. Does anyone know what happened, the Observer doesn't seem to be printing anything on this nowadays. Maybe someone needs to address the issue at the next BOE meeting. I wonder if they have any information as to what is being done on this? You don't read anything about this anymore. Maybe the new editor on the paper has been asked to keep it low key or something????? : |

This story needs to be given to the Detroit Free Press/ Detroit News. They will report the facts, and not bury the story, as the Observer does with anything LPS. |

Jack has plenty of contacts at the News, but the Free Press has reported it in the past. Right now, there just isn't much new to report. That should change in a hurry once Liepa is deposed. |
