Thanks, Mrs. M. That was loads of fun.

In the sixties I was attending elementary school in Livonia and the girls could not wear pants to school. In my 6th grade picture my hair was in pigtails and I had on a pink "jumper" with a ruffled blouse under it. I'm sure I had on knee socks, too, even though they did not show in the picture. I owned exactly one pair of jeans which I wore outside of school and washed as much as possible , trying to speed up the fading process. It worked well up until my father literally ripped them off me by pulling on the back pocket because they were "horrible" according to him.

Things sure are different now.
