http://www.wxyz.com/news/local/story.aspx?...5b-d7beed142961 PlayStation burns Farminton Hills Student FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (AP) - A Detroit-area seventh-grader has suffered burns to his leg after a Sony PlayStation Portable video game overheated in his pocket during band class. Fire officials tell The Detroit News the burns were caused when the game's battery leaked. A teacher removed the game from the student's pants. The Detroit Free Press reports the student at Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills was taken Wednesday to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. A school district spokeswoman says students can bring the games to school, but are not allowed to play with them during school hours. Fire officials are trying to determine what caused the game to overheat. A video shows parents speaking about the incident, the father mentions 2nd or 3rd degree burns. |
