Livonia Stevenson will be playing in the Division 1 State Finals. Stevenson will face the Cougars of Macomb Dakota High School on Saturday, November 24th, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Stevenson is the AWAY team playing Macomb Dakota at Ford Field in Detroit. Stevenson's fans are to sit in the areas nearest Gates E & F at Ford Field. (A seating diagram is linked below.) Please check back on this page frequently, as we will be adding additional information before Wednesday as needed. If you have any questions, please email stevhs@livonia.k12.mi.us and we'll make sure you get the information as quickly as possible. Finals tickets are $10 per day at Ford Field, allowing a fan to see all four games on a single admission. No in and out privileges are allowed. Parking in approximately 2,000 spaces in Olympia Entertainment lots adjacent to Ford Field and Comerica Park is $6 for cars. Other parking vendors in the vicinity of Ford Field may charge different prices. Pre Sale tickets will go on sale Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during all 3 lunches from 10:30 AM-Noon by the North Cafeteria. School is not in session on Thursday and Friday so please buy your tickets early in the week. SHS has 2,500 pre sale tickets. All tickets are $10. This is a public pre-sale. Anyone is welcome to purchase tickets between 10:30 AM and Noon on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but please enter through our main doors and check in at our visitors desk in the main lobby before proceeding. Thank you. Ford Field Security Policies: Per Ford Field policy, please be aware of the following: 1. Fans waiting for an earlier game to conclude must wait/sit in end zone seating areas. You cannot stand in the aisle way waiting for your seat to open up. Once the previous game concludes , you may proceed to our seating section: Gate E, sections 124, 123, 122, 121. (Ford Field Seating Diagram may be found here) [PDF] If you purchase tickets at Ford Field, you can purchase those tickets at Gate A where there are 12 ticket windows or Gate G where there are 6 ticket windows. The $10 ticket permits you to attend any and all games that occur that day. Please refer to www.mhsaa.com for match-ups of other teams. The Division 7 game, Traverse City St. Francis vs. Mendon, the one prior to ours, begins at 10:00 AM. Again, our seating section WILL NOT open until that game concludes. 2. NO confetti or paper pompons will be permitted at Ford Field. 3. NO bottles, food, coolers, jugs, etc. will be permitted at Ford Field. By court order, personal items (bags, etc.) will be checked for bottles, etc. 4. Each school is responsible for the conduct of its crowd. Violators of good conduct will be removed from the facility. 5. Video cameras and film cameras are allowed, but they must be battery powered and hand-held. Tripods are not allowed and you cannot have professional lens. 6. NO grills or alcohol of any kind are allowed in parking lots by city ordinance. 7. Please review new Ford Field security procedures at this link. 8. Handheld signs and taped up signs CANNOT be brought into the stadium. The only participants that can bring in signs are the cheerleaders and they may post signs in a designated area. 9. All spectators must be fully dressed. No half shirts are allowed. No Spartan helmets or swords can be brought into the stadium. 10. Wheelchair accessible seating: Ford field provides more than 800 accessible and companion seats. Wheelchair accessible seating is also available in suites as well as on the club level. Please contact the Ford Field ticket office at (313) 262-2003 for information on availability and locations. 11. The game will be televised live on FSN Detroit. Live Audio webcast of each game will be available through the MHSAA web site. 12. Souvenir Programs - SHS plans to purchase a box of programs for the players and coaches. You will be able to purchase programs at the game. 13. The SHS band will be performing at half time during the first 7 minutes. The SHS cheerleaders will also be in attendance. 14. Parents of student spectators are encouraged to attend the game with their son/daughter. Due to the holiday weekend and logistics, SHS will not be providing student spectator buses. Ms. Hyman attended a MHSAA meeting on Sunday with all the other AD's that are have teams in the State Finals and those schools that are relatively close in distance to Ford Field are not providing student spectator buses due to the same reason(s) as listed above. Being that this is a short week due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the timeline to organize everything is VERY tight. We thank you for your understanding. Directions: You may find an MHSAA over map with parking areas at this link and a zoomed view closer to Ford Field at this link. General Directions listing to Ford Field may be found at this link. A map from Stevenson to Ford Field may be found below. Ford Field 2000 Brush Street Detroit, MI 48226 http://www.livonia.k12.mi.us/schools/high/...tatefinals.html |

I watch these high school games every year, but this is the first time I have one particular team to root for. So, no TV for me this year! Packing the family up to see this one live! I was just at the Lions game Sunday, and the new parking garage for Greektown Casino is open and FREE. You don't even need a validation from the casino. |

I think the only way to get tickets is to to buy them at Ford Field. I think there is more than one game being played that day...one admission price to watch one or all of the games. |

Wow. All I can say is.... AWESOME SEASON STEVENSON!!!!!. Todays game was a great achievement. Just to get to the State Finals is a massive uphill battle alone. It is hard to knock out the champ, and this champ was just in the "Big Detroit House" last year. And this may have been the biggest, literally, big champ in a long time. Macomb Dakotas' offensive and defensive lines have got to be some of the biggest high school kids I have seen in long time. Stevenson battled them as much as they could, but in the end, they were just one Goliath to big to overcome for anyone this year. All the props to the Spartans! You men have NOTHING to hang your heads low over. ALL HAIL SPARTANS!
