Well, what do you know. I just got the mail, and yet another Brosnan hit piece. Looks like I will be working for the Brosnan campaign this weekend. Where do I sign up? Seriously, where?

Well, Jack is the master of dirty politics. He and his "good 'ole boys".

Who are the good ole boys????

Bo & Luke Duke of course.

Seriously Renee, for someone like you who appears to know EVERYTHING about Jack (right down to his daily fiber intake, I'm sure), you honestly don't know what we're talking about?

You better brush up on your candidate some more... only days to go....

Well, now that the Toy hit piece has come and the stuff is being slung from both sides..I guess no one can stand on their "no more nasty politics" soap boxes.

The good ol' boy network describes a system of social networking and perceptions alleged to exist prevalently among certain communities and social strata in the United States. Although the term originated in the South, these networks can be found throughout the U.S. and the rest of the Western world. It is typically taken to refer to informal legal, judicial, social, religious, business, and political associations among people In some areas, the good ol' boy network is said to still exert considerable influence over many aspects of local government, business, and law enforcement. Usage of the term can often imply a wrongful exclusion of others from the network; however, often the emphasis is on inclusion of a member, as in, "doing a good ol' boy a favor".

Some negative effects of the good ol' boy network are its exclusion of others, leading to leaders of a community possibly limiting business transactions to other elites, or to friends or acquaintances from within the network, to give friends better deals, and generally to reinforce traditional power structures over any other elements in the society.

The network also functions like any other social network inasmuch as governmental, business, and professional connections and concessions often develop via mutual friendships and introductions established through the network.

Don't forget Fmr. Mayor Bob Bennett, relatively sure he falls into that "good ole boys" category, and possibly president of the club. There are good ole boys all over Livonia. They've been here for years and that's what happens.

But don't sit there and act like it's just Kirksey who has supporters that have been involved in Livonia politics before. Maureen has her camp too and they include the same kinds of people.
