Hmmmm, the name of this thread is 'Kirksey getting desperate'.
Renee successfully divertes attention away from kirksey by bringing up Steve King. What does Steve have to do with kirksey? Nothing, of course.
'Renee getting desperate'! Just my take on these last few posts <_<
its only a short diversion. Use the bathroom, get a snack, a beer. Back to our regularly scheduled postings, Kirksey and Renee getting desperate.
Speaking of diversion, I guess those that posted about Kirksey and the rec center, having been proven WRONG, don't have anything to say now that the truth has been revealed.

What truth? A bunch of controlled articles in the paper? That is neither proof or anything close to admissible evidence. You will have to try to better than that to change the past, or change what really happened

And LPS decided to print it.
Who's wrong?
King of course. Duh......why would you even ask. It is his responsiblity to provide the bio, you certainly don't need one to run for office you only have a registered voter in the community.

The truth is slapping in you in the face and you refuse to see it. You asked for proof and you got it. Now it isn't good enough??? Pleaaaaaase!
Here is an interesting one on term limits:
Detroit News - 2003:
Ironically, Kirksey began his career as Livonia mayor on the heels of the charter amendment that is making him retire. Voters passed the term limits in 1994, stopping then Mayor Bob Bennett from running for a third term. Residents encouraged Kirksey to run. Kirksey, who voted against the term limits, wouldn't have become mayor without them. He didn't want to go up against Bennett, a close friend.
This far better proof than the so-called unconfirmed information coming from associates of Kirksey. Seems to me that Bennett is tied even more to the slam piece that came out against Kirksey. He is the only one that keeps bringing up the term limits and low and behold we now know why, because the voters enacted it and it stopped him from running again. If Jack gets a third term, that gives him one more than Bennett. The picture gets clearer all the time!

What are the "real" issues sour? You guys throw out the stuff about the rec center. It is documented that there was not bait and switch and that the community was fully informed going into the bond issue.
The slam piece and Bennett bring up that Jack was for term limits and he is going against it. I once again show documentation that it wasn't the case.
The real issue is that Brosnan doesn't have the experience to run this community and that there are people on here who just can't get over the school issues and would rather vote against Jack than to vote for the right person for the job.
Nice try and deflection.

No try or deflection, just what is reality. You try hard, but fail worse. Give it up and take a break from all of this before you hurt yourself.

Looks like pollsters are standard Dem protocol:
Detroit News, January 2002:
NORTHVILLE -- Former Gov. James J. Blanchard and Atty. Gen. Jennifer Granholm exchanged angry barbs Saturday over a statewide campaign poll commissioned by Blanchard.
Granholm branded it a "sleazy trick" in their race for the Democratic nomination to run for governor. Blanchard, in turn, called her criticism "a phony, trumped-up" charge.
It's the sharpest spat yet between the Democratic front-runners.
According to Granholm, voters called last week by Blanchard's pollster were asked, among other things, how their choice would be affected if they knew she helped her husband get Wayne County contracts.
Her husband, past county employee Dan Mulhern, received employee training contracts after former county corporation counsel Granholm was elected attorney general in 1998. Both deny she helped him.
In a bizarre twist, Mulhern said he was among the several hundred voters called by Blanchard pollster Mark Penn of Washington, D.C.
"Early on it became clear this was a Blanchard poll," said Mulhern, of Northville. "And as the questions continued I became very angry because they were lying about myself and my wife."
On behalf of Granholm, campaign spokesman Chris DeWitt said: "It is obvious that Blanchard will pull any sleazy trick for a third term and try to vindicate his loss 12 years ago. The public records of the candidate are fair game. Personal attacks on family members is typical Washington bottom-feeding at its worst."
Blanchard bristled, saying: "I will flat-out tell you my pollster does not spread untruths."
Another Metro Detroiter, Sean Brosnan of Livonia, said he also was asked "a number of negative questions about Granholm and (David) Bonior." The congressman from Mt. Clemens also seeks the Democratic nomination. "After each question and negative comment," Brosnan added, "I was asked if I was more likely to vote for Blanchard. I said no."That figures. His wife works for Granholm's campaign.Blanchard and his pollster declined to disclose questions or the survey results.

I wonder why it bothers the Kirksey folks so much that Brosnan is a Democrat and worked for Granholm's campaign. Many people really thought she would do a good job as governor back when she was first running. Obviously she did win the elections. Many are disappointed in the ultimate results, but they could not possibly have known what the future held when they cast their vote. Before that many hated Engler and I know a lot of Republicans that supported and voted for G.W. Bush that are VERY unhappy about how things turned out. This is how it works. Sometimes you regret the vote you cast down the road, but you can't take it back.

Doesn't bother me that she is affiliated with Granholm. I don't know why you guys care when we show the affiliation. If it doesn't mean anything to you why would you care that we bring it up? Just want to be clear about who is affiliated with who. As for regretting casting a vote, okay. But she is still taking Granholm's endorsement.

Why would she turn down an endorsement from a governor? I'm sure Kirksey would accept the endorsement if we had a Republican Governor. Kirksey is endorsed by the Right to Lifers, but it's not like he will get to overturn Roe v. Wade, so who cares? What matters is how each would lead this city.

I think Mrs. Brosnan is trying to dis-associate herself from Jenny. Wasn't she quoted recently as calling herself an independent?

I believe she said that because of Kirksey making such a big deal about the "partisian" election. What was she suppose to say? Jack is making a fool out of himself, along with the Republican Party. If that's how he and his party present themselves, then none of them belong in office in our community. If you have to resort to lies to win, then you definitely shouldn't be the mayor of this community.

The only lies I see are the ones coming from Maureen's supporters. They have no proof of any of the accusations they make and when slapped in the face with newspaper articles disproving the lies they tell about Jack, they then say the papers aren't valid.

Maybe Renee, it's time to look for other things to do with all of your time. It's seem to be such a waste of effort and energy. The holiday's are coming, why don't you help out a charity or food bank, instead of posting garbage and anger all day long.

Pot, Kettle, Black George....
Sorry Renee, I was serious. I don't understand why you are so angry. It's really has gotten old.
