I wanted to let everyone know that there will be a public hearing (Traffic Commission Meeting) about the proposed removal of the Traffic signals at the corners of Harrison/West Chicago and Deering/West Chicago. For those that don't know, these two signals are being studied for removal and stop signs have been placed in the interim until the Traffic Commission has their hearing on May 17th - 7:00 p.m. 3rd Floor conference room. These meetings should be open to the public for their comment. For more information, please go to www.ci.livonia.mi.us and click on Commission and look for the Traffic Commission and their May agenda. Many residents are not happy about these being removed due to the fact that Cleveland Elementary's property is within 1000 feet of both of these signals and are these are used to safely cross students from the Clements Circle Neighborhood on the North side of West Chicago.
So, whether you are for or against these signals being removed, there is a public hearing.

Thanks
