I wouldnt say almost, she can hold her breth and let go she wouldnt have died she isnt that dumb. Also the weight of her pulling it down and it trying to escape, she went under water a few times, but she was no where near death, she even chased it after it got out of her grasps. Did you see thse injurys on the zebra? The lioness got water up her nose lol thats it. |

And a lot of people say the zebra was doing that on purpose it looks as if it was giving up it was sinking down, not purposely trying to drown the lioness. |

im only stating what the voice over stated... i saw the wounds and the voice over said the young zebra would survive.. and i said almost because thats what the voice over said... you dont have to be dumb to be killed by the prey, even if she let go the zebra could have kept its weight down on her and submerged her deeper(but didnt).. yeah she did chase it but u could see on her face when it was holding her down she was getting worried(so would any predator except the crocodile or alligator).. any way...the zebra did almost drown her but with no prevail... |

She was under the water for a few seconds, ive seen female lions do this to buffalo and actually win. I doubt it tried to dround her, the zibra was pushing down yes but her body weight was on his face, she was alright, she did not almost die or down, it takes longer than a few seconds to drown a cat. |

I have seen this movie and it is interesting, but as others have said, I am not so sure the zebra actually tried to kill the lioness. I dont think a zebra is smart enough to do so. But it does proov that an adult zebra is no easy kill. I am sure that lions have felt theyre hard kicks, and I am pretty sure that one hard kick from a zebra actually coulld brake a lionesses jaw or even kill it instantly with a bit of luck. This just gives credit to lionesses that actually hunt these powerful herbivores quite often. It truly takes power and hunting skills to take down a adult zebra. Not an easy prey. |

first..Zebras are really intelligent and on the "LIVIN WITH DINOSAURS" documentry they said a swift kick would break a crocodiles jaw's and the voice over said the zebra was juvenile i do doubt a zebra could instantly kill a lion with 1 kick... -vita what lion video? |

Yes I have heared they could brake a crocodiles jaw, and then you question the zebras ability to kill a lion with a kick to the head????? I mean, it is unlikly it would happend, but if it actually did hit the lion spot on in the head, for sure, that lion could be killed. I belive I saw a photo of a male lions deformed jaw after a giraffes kick, I think. Those herbivores have serious power in theyre kicks, including the zebra. About theyre intelligence, honastly I dont know about zebras, but horses is probably some of the dumbest animals I ever have been around. So therfore I doubt the zebras high intelligence. that zebra did not try to drown that lioness, is cant imagine such an animal be so smart. It was pure luck that saved that zebra. When that has been said, I do respect the zebra cause of its speed and strenght. They are not an easy prey. |

Very impressive for a lion to be in the water hunting like that. Anything for the kill... But when she got some h20 in her nose...that was it! |
