Morgana stood at the edge of the playground staring at the decrypt area. She was wearing black jeans, a black shirt and a pair of black heeled combat boots, her hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail. The outfit was perfect for sneaking around to see Marcus without being seen. She was smiling; as she usually was it had been a fun challenge to get onto Marcus territory. The wards that had been placed around the area had been easy for her to get by, Marcus was either getting lazy or he simply didn't care. She hadn't even had too much trouble getting past the Vampire and human guards Marcus had. Of course there were few Vampires older then she was and that meant she had more power then almost everyone. She enjoyed this game of stalking Marcus and ruining whatever plans he would have and then leaving him again. He was the only constant thing in her long life and she clung to it sometimes a bit too much.

She moved onto the playground looking around herself, searching for any guards or wards she may have missed when she had been scanning the area earlier. She didn’t see anyone or anything, and she walked slowly looking for an entrance to the underground mansion that she knew was here. She looked around the slides and swings and then saw a climbing dome, which had a magical energy around it. She walked toward that and stepped inside the dome looking around. Her foot hit a hidden lever and something moved and she moved toward a hatch in the ground. She opened it and looked around there were no wards here but she was pretty sure she would run into some soon. She moved down a staircase slowly, scanning for magical wards, she knew he would have something here, no clan leader would leave his house unprotected. Morgana had been unallied for so long that when she appeared in most Clans territories she was usually invited to join the clan, as yet no one had gotten her loyalty. She doubted when Marcus saw her he would try to do anything but kill her. She gave a small laugh in the darkness of the stairs. She enjoyed there encounters to much someday she was sure Marcus would either kill her or try and bed her. She laughed again at such a thought, the man would probably try and kill her on the spot should she suggest such a thing to him.

She came down the last stairs and blinked she was standing in front of a well-lit rather expensive looking door. Around the door were the wards she knew there would be. She took a moment to get around the Wards and then opened the door, she knew Marcus would know that someone had entered his house there was no way she could have left the Wards intact. She walked into a one room living area, it was sparsely furnished she walked through the room looking at the various items there and she saw another door she assumed that this led to the under rooms of the mansion, all vampire mansions had lower floors for rooms which they didn’t want the normal visitors to see. She walked to the door and opened it descending yet another set of stairs, she looked at the Roman style baths and wondered why it was he kept those around. The Torture room was no surprise to her either; she had known he tortured his victims before he drank them. She touched a few of the devices and then walked from the room her boots striking the floor with a rather loud and hollow sound in the quiet.

She came back up the stairs and shut the door behind her, turning she noticed Marcus standing at the entrance to the house. She gave him a bright smile and said “hello Marcus, it has been awhile. I see you have grown in power since I saw you last. First clan leader and then possibly Master of the City.” She walked a little into the room and asked, “How have you been?”

Marcus prowled his territory. A few humans were still stupid enough to set foot on his land, but he made sure those simple few were culled from the rest of the herd. No sense in letting stupidity run rampant throughout the city. He sometimes wondered if the humans had figured out that only the most moronic people were breeding. At least, that's how it seemed to him.

A gust of wind howled through the copse of trees where the drained corpse of his latest victim lay. He stood, wondering what could have happened to trigger an alarm, for an alarm was what it was. Any second now, the wind would deliver a whisper to him about the trouble. Almost on cue, he could hear the voice.

"A forbidden tomb has been unsealed, valued secrets could be revealed."

Marcus wrinkled his nose in distaste. He had thought that for all the money he had paid the Zauberer Spellwrights, they would have been able to make a message that was a bit less lyrical.

Marcus' blades had cleared their sheaths before the message was finished. So someone had decided to invade his home, had they? Well then, it was time to find out why anyone would be so stupid. Especially someone who could unravel the wards he had had placed.

He jogged back to the playground, scanning the area for intruders. His guards were still on their patrols, which meant that the invaders weren't that numerous. Marcus snorted. Who would barge into his home uninvited without an army at his back?

The door was open. Marcus took note of the lack of his guardian wards. He wondered if any of his other surprises were still in place? He only hoped that he poor fools hadn't tried to open the desk in the office.

The wardrobe that hid the entrance to the lower levels had been shoved rudely aside. After checking it for damage, Marcus moved on. Someone had left a scratch in the wood's finish. He had had that piece of furniture since the Renaissance. It would be hard to find someone who could equal the skill of the carpenter who had made it.

“Hello Marcus, it has been awhile. I see you have grown in power since I saw you last. First clan leader and then possibly Master of the City.” She walked a little into the room and asked, “How have you been?”

Marcus grimaced. Her. He hadn't heard of her for at least a century. He had hoped her dead. He clenched his will, pulling the gray stones that made up the walls of the lower level's halls out of place so that a veritable horde of rocks hung suspended in the air.

"Better. What do you-" Marcus considered his words carefully for a moment. "Nevermind. Why don't you just leave, before I give you the same as I did at Inverloch?"

"Better. What do you-" Marcus considered his words carefully for a moment. "Nevermind. Why don't you just leave, before I give you the same as I did at Inverloch?"

Morgana eyed him for a moment wondering just what he was going try this time if she didn't leave. She sat down in one of the only chairs in the room and simply looked at him for a moment. "You know you cannot kill me Marcus. We go through this every time I see you." She gave him a hard look and added "Accept it and stop trying." She voice turned back to flippancy. "I do not wish to leave just yet and even if I left your house I would not leave your territory." She turned serious then and continued "As you are well aware Marcus there are few older beings then me and even less who would help you try and remove me from your territory." She knew he made few friends within the vampire and were world. She didn't know what the magic users or the Fey thought of him but she doubted it was much better then the other clans. She made a point of looking at the rocks he was holding. "You may want to put those down before you strain yourself to much."

She crossed her legs and added "as to what i'm doing here." She shrugged "What do I always do when I find you again. I'm here to watch you. It was been my job since you killed the vampires who made you." Inwardly she shuddered as she remembered that, outwardly she kept her face expressionless. His way of dealing with victums was not pretty and even less so to people he thought had slighted him in some way. "besides," she added smiling "You like the challange of making me leave. It gives you something to do other then torturing people. Maybe someday you will finally kill me." She shrugged and added "then again maybe not." She eyed the room around her and asked "have you not found a human servent yet?" That seemed odd most clan leaders had one or severeal.

"You know you cannot kill me Marcus. We go through this every time I see you. Accept it and stop trying. I do not wish to leave just yet and even if I left your house I would not leave your territory."

Marcus almost tossed his head. What was it about this woman that caused the self control he had cultivated for so long to disappear in seconds? Regardless, he had to say something, just as long as he didn't end up screaming his defiance at her. Again.

"Don't be so sure that you know what I can and cannot do anymore. You said yourself that I've grown in power since our last meeting. What makes you think you would be victorious if we fought now?" He let the rocks he was keeping up fall, grabbing the structures that supported the upper floor of his home.

"As you are well aware Marcus there are few older beings then me and even less who would help you try and remove me from your territory."

He quietly listened to her speech about being older than him. It wasn't something he hadn't heard before, though. The part about no one wanting to help him was new, though. It was true that he didn't have many friends in the vampire world, and even less in the rest of the supernatural world. He had to keep her guessing, though.

"I wouldn't be so sure of that, either. Clanleiters tend to become upset when creatures more powerful than they start moving around the city they inhabit."

Marcus waved away her statement of intent. It didn't really matter what she said she planned to do. What mattered was what she would end up doing, and that would most likely be trying to foil whatever plot he started before he could bring it to a successful conclusion.

"As to a human servant, it would be pointless of me to keep food as a pet. I prefer a creature that will live longer to be my slave. Care to take the job?" He asked her, smiling.

Morgana rolled her eyes upward and sighed deeply. "I don't think even with the extra power you gained you could make me your slave." She tilted her head to the side for a moment and regaurded him thoughtfully. "Didn't you try that once already." She nodded to his shoulder "Still have the scar?" She asked remembering that encounter. The two of them had a bad habit of dissolving into fights and then trying to kill the other. The last time he had tried something like making her his servent she had taken a silver stake and shoved it through his shoulder into a wall. She wasn't sure how long he had remained pinned there as she had left him shortly after she had given him parting words. She remembered something he had told her eariler

"I wouldn't be so sure of that, either. Clanleiters tend to become upset when creatures more powerful than they start moving around the city they inhabit."

She smiled again and said teasing. "You know I am so old the Clans tend to fight to keep me in there territories." She shrugged "Things are different these days Marcus yet as always you remain the same." She shook her head "I don't know how you do it." She stood up and glanced around the room. "You should invest in some more furniture it seems a little to spartan in here." She begain to walk toward the outer door saying. "I think I will take my leave now you will see me again though." She was still smiling as she said it and she knew he would not be happy to know she was staying around for a long time. She stopped when she stood next to Marcus and looked him over closely. "I was wrong," She said quietly as though to herself. "You have changed, gotten harder and more cruel it appears.I wonder.." She left that sentance unfinished and spoke normally then and added with her usual good humor. "I'm staying on your territory so if you want to fight soon it shouldn't be hard for you to find me. Just please don't send any of your minions you know I don't like it and you know what I do to them." She turned her back to him then and walked out the door.
