Leopard-Queen of Detroit
|
Midnight painted fingernails tapped their way along the peeling walls of the college, trailing just slightly behind the slight figure of their mistress. Neutral Territory established, but Antares couldn’t help but feel spoilt for choice – the image of a supermarket flitting briefly into her mind. Antares Lesath, Leopard-Queen of Detroit – was most definitely not here to learn. No, Antares had been hungry for just over a week now but dinnertime was only moments away. That wasn’t to say she was stupid, and hungry enough to break the laws of engagement on Neutral Territory – but the deco in the were-leopard realm seemed to be attracting less new faces by the week and she was tired of tasting alcohol in the livers of her victims. My, did it leave her with a dreadful headache in the morning. So, whilst the redecoration ensued – Antares was off out collecting guests for their grand opening. With her youthful, yet striking features and large amber eyes – who would doubt that young Annie Queen was anything but honest in her intentions? The thought of her charade brought a curling, seductive smile to her lips – ridding her face of the almost petulant expression most were usually faced with. Davonte had always told her it wasn’t ladylike to play with her food, but this was too entertaining. Antares couldn’t bear to kill without having had a least a little fun beforehand…she imagined it gave a little extra zing of adrenaline to taste…though without the headache in the morning. As far as she was concerned, she wasn’t breaking any rules. Vampires littered the corridors like bats in a cave, their intentions probably genuinely to learn. Which was Antares supposed, after a few moments of deeper consideration – that, that too was her goal. She was learning how to better ensnare her prey in a day and age that made hunting difficult. What with all these ctv cameras and missing person searches, it really jangled her temper. “Annie!” The screech of her persona called across the corridor made her wince, her eyes narrowing minimally before she managed to throw up a pearly smile. Her “friends” would never know until it was too late why Annie Queen’s smile had always made them shiver, or feel perhaps like a mouse being eyed by a cat. But this girl, blonde bouncing Camilla who’s precious Daddy got her everything she wanted…perhaps Antares could make one allowance. Just one? Without realising, Antares had stopped in her tracks, her eyes slightly glassy as she considered it. Camilla had been grabbed by someone else before she had managed to make it to Antares, but Antares was happy to wait. She sighed heavily, already drifting into a state of heaven at the thought of it. So wrapped up in her thoughts, she didn’t notice the hand reaching to clamp her shoulder until it was too late. The grip was iron hard and unflinching and contorted her face into an irritated grimace. “Antares Lesath?” The voice said from behind her, sending a wave of freezing shock coursing through Antares’s veins. |
