Conall said nothing in response to Marcus. Their gazes were locked and while Conall showed no expression on his face, his feelings were clear. He did not like a member of his pack under the control of another. It split loyalties. Worse still was the way Marcus treated her as a possession rather than a person. No wonder she was so at odds with her beast, an entity that craves freedom. There was no such thing in her life. If Joss ever chose to leave Marcus then Conall may well end up protecting her from him and that would suit him just fine.
"Come on, Joss," he said, still not breaking eye contact with Marcus. "Lets go home and sort out your wounds.'

Jocelyn
Empathic Were-Leopard
Joss grew tense as Marcus and Conall seemed to stare each other down. She let out a breath as Marcus seemed ok with Conall being her alpha. That would make things easier for her. She could seperate things out in her head easier that way. Her body and her desires to Marcus her beast and her loyalty to Conall.

She looked down at her wound as Marcus mentioned it. The blood had stopped oozing from it. "I should be ok in a day." She promised. She didn't want Marcus to think she would take advantage of a weakness.

She turned her attention to Conall as she spoke of leaving and looking to her wounds. She looked back to Marcus suddenly their was conflict again. She wanted to obey her alpha but Marcus hadn't really given her leave yet.

Finally she thought of a way to stall for a moment. "My clothes are destroyed. I can't very well walk home like this." She said indicating her blood covered body.
