And they were back on the main floor. "And that's everything I guess. There's some lockers down stairs if you want to store stuff while your here. The office is down there as well. Basically we let anyone in so we don't need you at the door. We need you more to sift through the floors making sure there's no big brawls. A couple fights break out from the moshing thats fine. Just if anyone starts brandishing weapons or claws or the like. Then break it up that way you do so well." Joss said as the stood in the hallway near the stairs that lead up towards the next level.

She smiled up at Conall. "I'll leave you to it then. I should go through and make sure the bars are restocked before the rush comes." Joss said.

Once she had shown him around and explained a little about the rules she bustled off to do whatever the manager of a bar does. His job was simple. They usually were. He had never been a bouncer at this kind of place before and was curious to see how it would differ from his past experiences.
He started his rounds. Already the music was pumping and people were beginning to drift in, oerdering drinks and the like. He was glad he didnt have to work behind the bar. All the names and numbers would probably confuse him and he didnt handle stress well. He was much happier partrolling, his eyes scanning the gloom for trouble-makers. Now he was the hunter, sliding through the crowds and keeping a sharp eye. His face was grim and his posture threatening as, not only was this his natural state, but it also made people less likely to start trouble.
The people started to pile in and the noise increased. This was an all new jungle to him and he was starting to like it.

Marcus stepped into the club. He had decided to see how his Kitten was running things since she had taken over. At first glance, he didn't see that many changes, so he figured that anything she was doing differently would be a bit more subtle.

He slipped onto the dance floor, mingling with the many patrons that seemed to have nothing better to do but spend all their time dancing. Humans were such odd creatures. As he walked, he brushed a dancing vampire. He said nothing, which was as close to an apology as he usually went when dealing with his followers.

A hand grabbed his shoulder and tried to pull him around. Marcus went with the flow, and looked more closely at this vampire who thought he could man-handle him. Something was peculiar about this fellow.

"You're not one of mine." He said to the fellow.

"Damn right I'm not one of yours." The vampire replied, somewhat snobbishly. "I don't know how you mistook me in the first place."

Marcus sighed. Definately not one of his.

"You bumped into me." The unknown vampire accused.

"I did." Marcus rejoined, simply restating the fact that he had indeed bumped into the other vampire.

"I expect an apology." The youngling arched an eyebrow and adopted a stern pose, tapping his foot.

Marcus blinked. "I'm sorry you were in the way." Marcus saw the punch coming. The poor fool telegraphed it before he even started moving. With his superior speed and reflexes it was child's play to dodge the blow and grab his young foe by the neck. He looked up at the struggling vampire incredulously. "You don't know who I am, do you?"

"It doesn't matter who you are, you should respect me. I work in City Hall!" The other vampire gasped.

"A Politiker." Marcus growled, his voice full of disgust. In a rare display of mercy, he tossed the fool to the ground. "Leave my club, and don't come back. Go and discuss taxes or something with your maker." He turned to continue on his way, the loud music deafening him to the point where he couldn't hear the young Politiker get up and chase after him.

It wasnt long before he saw the first conflict of the evening. He had watched the man walk in. He could tell by the way he carried himself that he was either really cocky or strong and skilled enough to just be comfortable. He watched as another guy stopped him and turned him round. He couldn't hear the exchange between them over the din of the music but he recognised the body posture. This was going to escalate. He had already started moving towards the two as the first punch was thrown and dodged. Impressive, thought Conall. That was some display of speed. He was already having serious doubts as to whether the two were human when one lifted the other by the neck with one hand. That confirmed it. Conall almost smiled. This might actually be a challenge. The exchanged ended before he got there but the humliated man clearly wasnt done yet. He charged the other whose back was now turned. Conall would kick them both out anyway, it didnt matter which one came first.

As if by some instinct, knowing he was coming in Joss's head had popped up from behind the bar, where she was noting they needed to order more glasses, or switch to plastic, as they were greatly dwindling, and there he was walking towards the bar. At first Joss smiled to see him. She had missed him yesterday when she had been busy working then had had her outing with Conall.

Then she noticed the man coming at his back with fire in his eyes. "What the hell?" She mutturred.

She pole vaulted over the bar. Swinging her legs over the bar she walked with purpose in Marcus's direction. But she didn't stop to greet him she strode past him. Towards the man fast approaching his backside. She wasn't thinking she was just thinking that no one was going to hurt Marcus if she could help it.

The man was flat out running in a rage Joss stopped in his path and snarled at him. She caught Conall approaching out of the corner of her eye. She thought she could handle this idiot though. Not immediatly recognizing him as a vampire. "Stop." Joss barked at him when he kept coming though, trying to skirt her she held out her arm to clothesline him.

She grunted knocked back on her ass as he nearly snapped off her arm. AS strong if not stronger then she he easily barreled through her arm intent on Marcus. Joss flipped onto her feet quickly crying out. "Marcus." over the music To warn him of the impending man coming at him. SHe jumped jumping onto the man's back her arms around his neck. That seemed to stop him as he tried to get her off his back.

Joss turned to Conall. "Get this guy out of here." She said struggling to hold onto the Politiker.

He snarled at her and as she was struggling to hold on he turned his head and bit into her arm. She cried out.

As Marcus was walking away, he suddenly heard a yelp, then smelled blood. He paused, sniffing. He knew that scent. His eyes widening, he turned, where he saw Joss hanging on to the fool Politiker that he had just dismissed. That would teach him to be merciful.

His eyes flashing, Marcus sprinted back through the press of people and towards his Kitten.

As he neared the scuffle, Marcus' face twisted into a feral snarl. He stiffened his fingers and jabbed his pointed hand into the offender's throat. Had he struck harder, he could have collapsed the fellow's trachea, but he didn't want to do any killing in the club. Some of the human patrons might react adversly to such a situation. In any event, the fool fell to the ground, allowing Marcus to walk around and peel Joss off him.

"Very brave, Kitten. Now go and rest." Marcus sent her off with a soft slap on the behind, making a mental note to start teaching her how to defend herself.

He grabbed the soon-to-be dead Politiker by the hair and dragged him towards one of the many rear exits, his anger roiling his stomach as he plotted the idiot's demise.

Marcus kicked open the door and threw the fool out into the open alleyway. His young foe stood, his eyes revealing that he realized he had bit off a bit more than he could chew. Suddenly, the Politiker turned and fled. Marcus, who hadn't been expecting the move, allowed him to go. He had to go and tend to Joss.

Conall had heard Joss's cry of pain and it boiled his blood. He ignored the other transgressor completely and centred on the on who had bitten her. Later on he would remember that she had called the other one Marcus and obviously knew him, but not now. Now he was angry. He went for the man who was obviously a vampire but the other man, this Marcus, was there first. He was so fast there was no way he was human. He spoke to Joss and dragged the other outside. He listened to the tone of voice and watched the way she did as she was bid and put two and too together. So this was the vampire who had marked her. Well it looked like he would deal with the other. Shame. Conall would have liked to have got his hands on him. He knelt by Joss.
"Are you ok?" he asked, his voice full of concern.

Joss realized the man was a vampire too. As soon as he bit into her arm. Right through her long sleeved T. She grunted as the Vamp went down and she practucally atop him with his fangs still buried in her arm. She cursed as he peeled her off the guy pulling his fangs from her flesh.

She yelped as he spanked her on her ass and told her to rest but she didn't say anything as he started taking out the vamp that he had downed in her honor.

She looked down at her arm. Luckily the tshirt was black so you couldn't see the blood that was collecting in it. But that bite hadn't been gentle, hadn't been meant to feed, it had hurt like a bitch and she could feel it bruising already.

Conall was suddenly next to her asking if she was ok. She nodded. "Yeah... I just... there's a first aid kit behind the bar. I should just wrap this up." She said starting to move towards the bar again holding her hand over the wound so it wouldn't bleed anymore, though it was already stopping and closing up.

Well this was a quick way to tell who was Vamp and who was not. As she walked through the crowd. The Vamps turned looking at her arm as they smelled the blood on her. Joss didn't look at any of them or she might have seen a look she was familiar with. *Weakling... prey*

When she got to the bar she ducked behind it and pulled out the plastic first aid kit. She moved to sit on the floor mat behind the bar. She'd need help to get the guaze and tabpe around her arm. She couldn't do it one handed.

"Help me out?" She asked pushing up the sleeve of her T.

The smell of blood and sweat, the heat, the thirst for combat. It was all getting to him. The beast was baying for blood, hungry for revenge. She was his packmate now. How dare someone harm her? At the same time he wasn't sure about the vampire called Marcus. He had marked her, she worked for him and, knowing her, was totally submissive to him. He had heard of lycans being kept as pets by beings with sway and the idea disgusted him. He looked at her thoughtfully as he helped her dress her wound. Was she a pet to him? Without the guidence of a mentor and with a rough start to her life as a lycan it was possible. How could her beast let her do it? Surely it craved freedom? How could it be so downtrodden all the time? He tried to push the thoughts out of his mind. All this was getting to him too much. Woe betide any other trouble makers tonight. He was definately in the mood for violence now.

Marcus stalked back into the club, eyeing the rest of the party-goers warily. If any of them so much as twitched wrong he would have them flogged until they told him what they were so worried about.

His smooth movements portrayed barely restrained violence as he made his way across the dance floor. He went to the bar to see if Joss was alright, only to find someone else tending to her wounds. He swallowed the wave of jealousy that rose up at the sight of them. Perhaps he was just a helpful passerby, or maybe even a friend.

"I see you have experience dressing wounds." He said to the man as he leaned over the bar. "Thank you for looking after her."

Marcus turned to Joss. "If I knew you were going to leap into a fight after me, I would have taught you how to handle yourself." He gave her a grin that faded into a worried look. "Are you seriously injured?"

"Hey!" Marcus looked up at the doors leading into the club. Through the flashing lights of the club Marcus saw the young fool he had just thrown out of the club. He looked back the way he had just come, then back at the vampire. Behind the one Politiker, others filed into the club.

Marcus stood, the forgotten anger returning. Was this idiot suicidal? "Excuse me." He walked toward the growing group of vampires. "I refuse to allow this club to become a battleground. Shall we take this outside? He said the assembly. He hoped they would take him up on his offer. The club would take a fortune to repair if there was a fight in the place.

Joss tilted her head back to look up at Marcus as he leaned over the bar looking for her.

She opened her mouth to introduce him to Conall but closed it as he went on talking about teaching her to handle herself. She blushed ashamed. She shook her head no. She wasn't seriously injured. It hurt like a bitch but it wasn't serious.

She opened her mouth again to introduce him to Conall as it seemed like Marcus was finished then suddenly his attention went somewhere else as he turned to look behind him. She looked to Conall confused. Pulling her sleeve down over her newly dressed wound. When Marcus excused himself she suddenly popped to her feet.

She saw him walking towards the door and she narrowed her eyes trying to focus in on what he was walking towards. When she saw what was there her eyes widened. "Shit." She whispered. She believed in Marcus. Believed he could handle anything. But that was alot of Vamps to go against.

She looked down to Conall. She squatted down.

"Looks like a fights brewing. We need to keep it out of the club. That was Marcus. He owns this place. The guy he took out is back with friends. Please... help him." Joss said looking down at Conall.

So the vampire from earlier was back and he'd brought company. The more the merrier, thought Conall darkly. He would have probably gone out even if Joss hadnt asked him to but the fact that she did tipped the balance. He felt his muscles starting to buldge and swell a bit and his eyes became fierce. But he wouldn't change...yet. He marched through the crowd with a growl, people either getting out of the way or being knocked out of the way. Time to go to war.

Marcus waited patiently while the young vampire from earlier told him what he could do with his club in a rather lengthy, typically Politiker speech. His hands reached inside his coat and gripped the hilts of his swords. He was glad he had remembered to wear them today. After making sure they were loose he went back to waiting.

Finally, the fool stopped to take a breath, and Marcus struck. There was no point in talking to them, as they were clearly spoiling for a fight. Marcus had to admit, though, that he was to.

His arm shot out again, his fingertips jabbing into the younglings throat and emerging on the other side. He pulled them back and wiped his hand on his jacket. As the fool stumbled back, grasping at his throat, the others attacked with a roar.

Marcus caught an arm and punched it at the elbow, shattering the joint and causing the bone to come out of the skin. Blood misted from the wound, igniting Marcus' blood lust. His lips curled back into a monstrous grin and he drew his blades. "Come now, I will deliver unto you a true, lasting death!" He shouted as they closed in on him, using the same cry he had used for centuries of vampiric conflict.

In response, most of the Politikers pulled guns. Marcus leapt forward, blurring as he began to dance among them, laughing.

One of the vampires saw Conall and turned his gun on him but it was too late. Conalls great hand closed around his wrist and crushed it, splintering the bone completely, shards of it bursting through the vamps skin. He only had time to begin his scream of agony as Conalls fist smashed into his face, his other hand releasing the vamps wrist at the same time. The blow broke the vamps jaw and sent him into the air, his body twirling once as broken teeth and dark blood erupted from his lips. He landed face down on the ground but Conall had already moved on. His next opponent made the mistake of simply staring in shock. Conall wrenched him from the ground with one hand, lifting him by the throat as he twirled around to pick up momentum before releasing his choking grip. The vampire shot backwards through the air into a wall. The impact was hard enough to shake dust from the wall and crack the vampires spine. Conall let out a roar and fixed his eyes on his net victim. The beast was pounding in his chest, great waves of fury beating in his blood and yet there was the thrill of battle, the joy of the fight at the same time. the beats urged him to change but he resisted. His human form was more than enough for these fledgeling vampires.

Joss stood back and watched as the fight errupted within the club. The other Vamps gave Marcus and Conall no choice. "Close down the bar. No more drinks open the back door get these people either outside or upstairs." SHe barked at the two bartenders. When then didn't move she roared. "NOW" It felt odd to be so bossy but she was doing it to protect Marcus's business.

The blood of the fight was catching the attention of the other Vampires and possibly were in the room. They were turning their attention to the fight even as the bartenders, luckily both Vamps themselves, tried to usher them out of the club or up the stairs.

Joss stood behind the bar still as she fought her own inner fight. Her beast was trying to claw it's way out. Fresh blood fresh meat. It wanted it. It wanted out. Joss whimpered her arms wrapping around her stomach. She had to get away. She started moving to exit behind the bar but she never made it.

She dropped behind it. She was trying to take deep calming breaths but the cat just fought harder. Joss cried out in [ain as she realized she couldn't fight it. She instantly started scrambling trying to get her clothes off. She got her tshirt and bra off and had her jeans undone when she couldn't focus to do more.

The beast came then. Faster then before as it smelled fresh blood and meat. Her jeans and underwear got shreded as the cat leapt forward. Bright green eyes blazed as it headed for the fight. Joss wasn't home anymore.

The cat bounded into the fight flying through the air it's jaws snapped around a Vampire with a gun chomping onto the gun arm it wrestled the vamp to the ground. Head shaking as it chomped on the arm the gun firing wildly. The cat screamed ripping off the arm as one bullet grazed it's flank.

The cat spat and tossed the arm to the side as the Vamp howled in pain the cat dove in it's might jaws snapping on the Vamps necks and biting down. The same shaking head movement severing the head from the body. The cat chewed on the carnage. Licking its chops of the fresh meat and blood.

Conall barely noticed the people flooding to the exits as he snapped a vampires neck with a savage twist, hurling his body aside. In the struggle to get hold of the vamps head Conall's cheek had been grazed by a bullet from its gun. He didnt even feel the stinging as blood seeped from the wound. He snatched another enemy from its feet as it was distracted, pointing its weapon at Marcus. Before it knew what was happening it had been lifted high into the air and brought down spine first into Conalls rising knee. He smashed a charging enemy aside with a backhand blow that sent it stumbling into the wall where he proceeded to lay into it, his great blows breaking its nose, jaw, several ribs, sternum and finally cracking its skull open with a mighty swing, his hands clasped together.
He saw Joss in her leopard form bounding into the fight and savaging a vampire viciously. If only she could do that with loosing her will totally. She had to learn to compromise with the beast. Let it out every once and awhile and give it some room to breathe and it became much easier to control. But there was hope. Perhaps he could teach her the way. Someone smashed a barstool across the back of his shoulders. He turned and pounced on them, sitting on their chest on the floor and beating their face until there was nothing left.

Verloren had been sat at his desk in the large study of his castle writting invites to the other clan leaders to a party he would host in the hopes of making a good impression as the new clanleiter when suddenly a youngling had burst in exclaiming that a group of other younglings had gone to make trouble in anarchisten territory. The irony of the fact he was writting Marcus' invite at this moment was not lost on him as he quickly grabbed his rapier, his dagger already on his hip, as always, before he had charged from the building with a yell to the vicont to keep a watch out untill he returned.

Then he had been searching anarchisten lands for this group, when the scent of blood and adrenaline hit his nostrels and he quickly saw a large group of people running for a bar, a few looking back inside longingly at the blood.

Verloren walked through the flow most of them spreading at the site of his rapier, when he walked in his was greated with utter pandemonium. At least 5 of his keep slain. No-one had seen him enter from the back and so reaching out with his gift, the back doors suddenly flew inward breaking form the hinges as a huge gust of wind broke in from outside and knocked most of his people to the floor those with a steady foot hold would only have wobbled.

In the few seconds he had before everyone lept on each other again he called out.

"MARCUS"

As he walked slowly across the dance floor where blood was now running over in ever expanding pool, his feet losing traction every few steps, he spoke again.

"Allow me to apologise, they have done this without my knowledge and certainly without my consent, they do not express the wishes or feelings of the politkers, and i assure you i will deal with them, severely, but i must also point out, they are still under my care, and therefore, my protection, so i ask that you allow those that remain to leave now, or i will be forced to step into this fight with them. I assure though, this is no act of war between us. Simply a minor incident involving a few, foolish and overly arrogant younglings. What say you?"

Verloren stood there, his rapier held down to show no sign of outward hostility but on show to show Verloren had ment it when he said he would defend them. He really hoped his second meeting with the Anarchisten Clanleiter wouldn't also be a fight.

The ground around Marcus had become a charnal house, with blood and limbs strewn about. Bodies littered the ground, some groaning, clutching for phantom limbs, while other lay dead, their heads removed from their bodies. Another fledgling fell to the ground, his eyes empty as Marcus removed his sword from his chest.

"Delicious." Marcus muttered as he licked blood from his hands. His hair, usually tied back, hung loose to his shoulders. His overcoat had holes all over it, and the skin near them was pink, as though new skin had just finished growing over it.

He took advantage of the lull in the fighting to wipe his swords on his tattered coat. He examined it for any damage, smiling when he found none. "Nothing like having your blade in your hand and the blood of your enemies spraying into your mouth, eh?" He asked the burly man that was fighting with him.

Finally, Marcus turned a baleful glare on the man he had met with the other night. "You. So you're a Politiker, eh? Somehow I'm not suprised." He looked around, somewhat wild-eyed, at the fledglings that still lived, struggling to rise. He looked over at Joss, his Kitten become Cat, licking her chops. He returned his gaze to the Politiker. "I believe the bard phrased my response perfectly." He raised his blades in the air and shouted, "Lay on, MacDuff, and damned be he who cries 'enough!'"

With that, Marcus launched himself almost joyously back into the fray.

Verloren watchd the man untill he was noticed and cocked his head at his responce, as he lunged against in that very instant Verloren had swept across the floor throuhg the otehr fighters and his rapier between Marcus swords and their intended victim, so that they collided with the unmistickable clash of metal. Verloren looked Marcus in the eye and spoke clamly.

"I told you, they are under my protection"

And with a swift movement his left hand had the dagger from his belt and thrust it at Marcus' gut as he shoutled loudly.

"The rest of you, get out of here or i wont protect you from your own stupidity"

The cat's claws had scraped against the linoleum of the dance floor sliding through the pools of blood at the large gust of wind that had blown most of the combatants apart.

Her claws clicked as she fought to maintain her feet as she turned towards the man with the rapier who entered and spoke. She didn't know what he said, nor did she care. The cat actually lowered it's head to lap at a pool of blood nearby as the man spoke. Green eyes blazing the cat only thought of blood, meat, eat, fight, protect.

When the man whom it considered part of it's pard/pack roared and turned to fight again she started to head back into the fray. Hearing his call as the call to continue the hunt. She started heading back towards the fray when she saw the thin man with the thin metal stick go to intercept her pard mate.

She roared as she saw the second, smaller metal stick sneaking in under where the other two swords had met.

Not far away she leapt, slipping on some blood as she tried to her aim was off, instead of clamping her jaws onto Verlon's dagger hand shebounced into Marcus taking the dagger plunge herself into the shoulder.

She roared in pain as it plunged in falling back against Marcus her nearly 400 lbs cat frame tackling him back. Twisting her shoulder she took the knife with her ripping it out of Verlorns hands.

When they hit the floor she rolled off Marcus onto her side panting and mewling as the dagger stuck from her shoulder. It was then the beast gave up some of it's control. Joss's hazel eyes returned to feel the pain and the taste of flesh and blood in her mouth. Her mental scream was as loud as the cats roar.

Verloren watched his dagger, it all happened as if in slow motion. first everything was right, then a searing pain in his hand as he looked down to see the cat there, then the dagger was in its shoulder, as teh cat rolled in the air colliding with Marcus he saw it was a female cat, he had wounded a female, and worse, drawn her blood. All because of a younglings foolishness, this ended now.

He pulled his dagger and rapier back and spun on his heels to face the majority of his own people and shouted loudly, all he felt now was anger, anger at his own peoples ignorance.

"HOW DARE YOU, HOW DARE YOU COME HERE AND DO THIS FOR SOME PETTY SENSE OF SATISFACTION. Your own acts are acts of war, a war i do not condon, as of this moment i declar you all .... traitors of the politker clan. You are no longer under our protection nor welcome in my territory. You are all to be considered deserters and enemies of the politkers. I will no tolerate ignorance arrogane or instigators within my ranks"

As Verloren stopped to breath one of them spoke up

"Sir, their anarchisten they deserve no better, their SCUM"

As he finished his sentence Verloren had already walked over and his eyes now darker as he again gave into the bloodlust, and the beast, which after being resisted so long, was under NO control, he thrust his dagger out and through the younglings eye into his head killing him instantly his body spasming for a moment then falling limp as Verloren turned to the others.

"If you do not wish the fate of traitors leave now"

He turned to face Marcus

"I told you i did not want a war against you"

Marcus blinked at the most recent turn of events. This battle was no longer enjoyable. Joss had been stabbed and the Politiker Clanleiter was clearly insane. No sane person would declare this many followers traitors, no sane person would condemn a person for being slow. Besides, the opinions the Politiker held were common in the clan. The Clanleiter was supposed to be of the clan, not against it.

For these reasons, Marcus nodded. "Fine. Just get your dead and dying out of my club." He cleaned his blades and sheathed them. He surveyed the damage. "You destroyed the doors." He looked at all the bullet holes in the walls. Lights had been broken. "This is going to cost me quite a bit to repair." He said almost to himself. His eyes flicked to Joss, making sure she wasn't in any real danger. He wanted to go to her, but he could not, would not be seen as weak before another Clanleiter. Any weakness could invite attack.

Conall had nodded and grunted in agreement to what Marcus said. It was true, there was nothing like a battle, a victory. Now he watched the two vampies talk whilst he sat atop the fallen enemy whos head he had pounded in. When Marcus leapt back into the fight Conall thoroughly approved and was already moving towards his next victim. What did he care if the vampires decided to stop or not? He wasnt bound by their laws and rules anyway. He was a creature of the wild. These vampires had come looking for trouble and trouble he would show them. He would have continued the fight whether the vampires had called it quits or not. It was Joss's scream that halted his advance. He wheeled around, bloodlust gone in an instant, replaced by concern. If she was human enough to scream some real pain must have brought her back. He saw her by Marcus, a wound in her shoulder. In a second he was by her side.
"Its ok." he said. "Its ok Becc. I'm here. Let me move you to where you can change forms. Away from all these people." He wouldn't touch her without her permission right now. After all, there could well be enough of the beast in control to lash out at him. He was dimely aware of some sort of commotion behind him but he didnt really care. His pack mate...his friend, was injured. He looked her over with soft, concerned eyes and waited for a response.

Conall or perhaps Joss herself was lucky that they had taken that run the night before. When Conall first came beside her the Cat was about to lash out with her good legs when his scent filled her nostrils and she stopped. Rolling onto her back exposing the sensitive underbell. Her shoulder wound seeped to add to the puddles on the floor. Though her entire coat was pretty much caked in blood.

The cat mewled in pain squirming on it's back. This was instinctual. To remind Conall that it had admitted submission to him. That he didn't need to take her out while she was weak. But if he was going to do it be done with it.

*Hurts... blood ohh god human flesh. I've eaten someone Oh god oh god oh god* Joss's mind screamed. She heard the word Becc as if from somewhere far away. *Conall... Conall I've killed someone...* Her thoughts whimpered. She could be heard crying from inside the cat. She was lost in the horror of her own mind. Leaving the cat to control their body. It squirmed the more it moved the more blood oozed from the dagger wound. The bullet wound to her side had already clotted.

Verloren stood where he was as Marcus spoke and he swiveled on his heels to look at him and called out to those left alive

"Get back to politiker territory this instant before i really do close my borders to you"

The other politikers looked around at what was left and with the rush of the fight fading some began to look terrified and they all began to amble stagger or even run out leaving the four of them standing there.

"I may have broken your door but you've killed more than a dozen of my followers simply for getting a bit above themselfs, in a club of all places."

Verloren slid his dagger back into his belt and sheathed his rapier.

"I hope this night does not put our two clans at war, the attitudes and arrogance of a few younglings does not represent the feelings and wishes of our clan. And i assure you, their punishment is far from over"

"I'm going to take you out of here." said Conall. She might feel more comfortable changing back in the other room. He might not have a problem standing naked in a pool of gore and blood but he was sure she proably would. He lifted her gently and with ease and carried her past the bar into one of the back rooms where laid her down carefully. He pulled off his jacket and pressed it against the shoulder to stop the bleeding.
"Dont think too hard about whats just happened. Breathe Joss. Stay calm. Easy now." he told her soothingly. "Change back when you feel your able. The wound will be easier to bind in your other form." He knew she would have a hard time dealing with what she had just done where he had no problem at all ripping someones throat out with his teeth. Maybe it was just the era he'd grown up in.
He looked the wound over, it didnt look too bad from what he could see but it was still oozing blood, making it somewhat difficult to tell.
"Its ok little one." he said. "I'm here. Breathe deep. Keep calm."

((OOC: Going ahead and posting since Conall took us off to a different area. Sorry... Meep))

The cat mewled in pain as Conall picked it up it squirmed in his grip, limbs flailing weakly. Joss was starting to disappear back into the cat. Ashamed and afraid of what it had done she was afraid to come back out.

She laid on her side where Conall laid her. Her hazel eyes and the cats greener ones seemed to be flickering as if they were fighting for control. They stayed hazel as Conall spoke. Her hazel eyes rolling to look at him. She would have been full out sobbing and shaking if she had been in human form. Her brain was a scattering of thoughts. *I can't remember. How can I not think of what I don't remember. I can only taste the flesh... the blood and know I did it but I don't remember* Joss mentally cried.

The cat snarled as he took away the jacket, that had been putting pressure on the wound, to look at it. Nails dug into the floor as Joss once again started to recess into the cat. Afraid to come out. Conall, her 'alpha', had told her to come out when she felt like it. Well she didn't feel like it. If he wanted her in human form he'd have to tell her to do so.

Calm... Calm... how could she stay calm. Suddenly her hazel eyes flooded back and the cat snapped onto it's feet. The flesh... it tasted ... it tasted sorta like marcus.... Dead... Vampire... *Oh god please no not Marcus!* She suddenly thought scrambling for the door of the room Conall had taken them too. The wound bleeding harder as she forgot about it and moved quickly again, tearing the part that had started to clot and letting it bleed once more. She started clawing at the door of the storage room to get out. *NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!*

This clearly wasnt going well. Joss was not able to keep control and had reverted back to her beast again. He had tried the route of kindness and now he was left with no other choice but the other path. He handed wanted to do this to her but he couldn't let her go charging around with that shoulder wound either. He quickly took off his clothes and transformed. He crouched down onto all fours and let out a growl to tell her he meant business.
"Joss thats enough!" he snarled. "Stop this immediately! You will control yourself!" He hoped that would be enough to get her a foothold in her mind. He was alpha to her after all. It had been so long since he was in a pack he had forgotten that the alpha sometimes have to play rough. Fear was a part of respect in the wild.

At his growl the cat backed up from the door and dropped down onto her stomach. She shuddered as she heard her alpha snarling and snapping at her. Joss pulled back. Her hazel eyes blinking at Conall before she lowered her muzzle between her paws in apology. Joss was inside crying. Convinced she had killed Marcus. She had lost control to her beast and killed one man she cared about while the other was forced to keep her in submission.

The cat let go of control to Joss who was sobbing inside. It was her first shift back that was not painful as she didn't even realize it was happening. The larger cat melted away into the blood caked, nude form of Joss laying on her stomach on the floor. Her back shook as she sobbed. "I killed him... I killed him." She started repeating
It took a few moments for her to realize she was human again.

"ohh god." She said suddenly. She started moving towards the corner whimpering as the pain in her shoulder suddenly returned. She hunched over in the corner heaving a few times before finally tossing out the blood and gore she had consumed as cat.

Seeing it before her made her feel even sicker. She swayed on all fours.

He still felt bad for doing it. Maybe he was going soft. An alpha couldn't be all kindness after all and it had worked at least. She had shrunk back down to her human form and puked up what she had consumed. He didnt blame her. Vampire tasted like crap. But he knew that wasnt why she had done it. She wasn't a warrior like him, hardened by the years of war. He wasn't the least bit bothered by blood and gore. Many times he'd been faced with no alternative but to use his claws and teeth to take down his enemy. She hadnt experienced that. No wonder she had trouble with her beast in this modern world. When he had grown up and learned to use his gift men hadnt been too far removed from nature anyway. He switched back to his human form but didnt bother dressing yet. It didnt seem important at the moment.
She kept saying 'I killed him...' Maybe if it had been an innocent he could understand.
'Why grieve over an defeated enemy?" he asked her, stroking her smooth back slowly. He tore his jacket to pieces and wound a few strips around her wound. He was not used to having things such as first aid kits around and it didn't occur to him to fetch one. He knelt beside her, his hands, forarms and face stained and smeared in blood as was his white vest he noted. His cheek had clotted and scabbed already.

Joss shivered on all fours backing away from her own pile of vomit until she felt Conall's hands stroking her back. She fell to her side. She wreaked of blood she could feel it sticking all over her body. As if she had rolled in it, which her cat had. Her stomach was not stable at all she pulled her knees up into it, going fetal on her side as Conall ripped some cloth. She was sickened further by the thought that she wanted to lick her own skin clean of the blood.

She hurt all over. And she had killed... was it Marcus? Had she killed the man who had promised to take care of her. Tears streamed down her face, leaving trails through the blood.

"Enemy?" She asked, her voice hoarse as she looked up at Conall as he suddenly spoke again. "Enemy I killed one of the others?" She asked just to make sure then suddenly whimpered as Conall bound her wound in remnants from his jacket. The muscles that had been sliced had actually begun restiching with her shift. The bullet graze wsa already a raised pink line going over her right hip, adding to the scars on that side already. Though that was all hidden under the quickly congealing blood.

"Of course you killed one of the others." said Conall confused. She seemed to be slowly calming, or coming out of shock at least but she was still crying. He kept reminding himself that she was only a pup, not used to her gift. He only hoped he could help her get passed this in time.
"Don't think about it Becc. Try to calm down." He held her and stroked her hair, whispering reassuring words in the same vein as that.

"No, I killed one of your followers because they drew the blood of one I had marked. The others," He paused motioning to the carnage. "Tried to stop me." Marcus' thoughts drifted to Joss again, and once again he forced them away. There was more important business at hand. "Now leave, and know that I have no intention of leaving alive any Politiker that enters my club for the next week. Also, I will be banning any of my followers from going to any of your clubs for the next week. If any show up, feel free to deal with them as you wish."

Marcus clasped his hands behind his back. "Now, if you will excuse me, I have to see to the restoration of my club." He turned and began to walk away, his hand reaching into his pants pocket for his cell phone.

Verloren frowned as he listened to Marcus' explination for slaying so many of his own a fire burning behind his eyes that threatened to burst force from the end of his rapier.

"I find your responce to what happened to be more than "reasonable force" by all standards i should avenge those you have slain here today, but i do not want a war so early into my reign as clanleiter of the politiker."

He watched as the other not only spoke with a tone of finality but also turned his back upon him, therefore ending the conversation and Verloren was only more than happy to leave the otehr company finding him a rather rude and overly violent man.

"I assure you any of your followers found in my territory will be slain with just as much leinancy as you showed those who came here"

He spun on his heal his coat fanning out as he stormed past Marcus to the doors that were splintered off their hinges, but in one last show of defiency, even if marcus couldn't see it, he smirked and a gust of wind ripped the sign from the front of the club with series of creaks and groans and finally a shower of sparks. With a satisfied smirk Verloren dissapeared into the night

"Reasonable force." The vampire had said. Marcus reflected on that with a smirk as he followed his Kitten's scent. Reason was hardly the driving force behind the Anarchisten, and force was determined by those who were strongest.

As he neared the back room where he could smell Joss, he heard her speaking to the bouncer. He agreed with fellow's assessment. Why would anyone cry over a fallen foe? It didn't make any sense.

He opened the door and swept into the room. "How is she?" Were the first words out of his mouth, directed towards the wolf in the room. His next words were directed at his Kitten.

"What's the matter? Our attackers are routed, and our only loss is the money I'll have to spend to get the place fixed up. What reason is there to weep?"

Joss lifted her head from Conall's naked lap her blood and tear stained face following him as he made his way into the room. Her body was still shaking in silent sobs as her eyes followed him. Her shoulder bound up in Conall's jacket scraps, her body covered head to toe in dried blood.

She shuddered as he asked why she was crying over a foe. "I've never..." She started. "I've never lost control like that. Never killed anything humanoid." She said starting to shake in Conall's lap again. "I couldn't remember. I could only taste. It... it tasted like you... like vampire. I thought I'd killed you." Joss said starting to sob again.

Marcus blinked at her response. Suddenly, he was laughing, laughing like he hadn't in decades. She thought she had killed him?

"Kitten, it would take far more than anything you could possibly do to end me. You have no need to fear for that."

The laughter ended as suddenly as it began. Marcus turned to regard the wolf. "You have my thanks for protecting her, but who are you and what is your relationship?" His voice had gone from jovial to hard in seconds.

The one she called Marcus had come into the room and started talking. So focused was he on Joss that he didn't even hear Marcus' first question. The adrenaline was pumping through his system even now and his own heartbeat dominated his hearing. It was only when Marcus adressed him for the second time, asking him what his relationship with Joss was and who he was, that Conall heard him.
"It's my job to look after her. I'm her alpha." he said. "She's my friend. We're packmates." He was surprised at his inability to describe their exact relationship. He was a wolf, she was a cat. It was so against fundamental laws. But yet he was an exile and she had no pard. He felt they needed each other. And who was this vampire to think he owned her? He had not rushed to her aid when she had fallen as a packmate would. He had stood clear and had not helped her. Left her to bleed. He was no real alpha. Conalls eyes narrowed and he began to bristle as he noticed the hardness in Marcus' voice. Was this vampire challenging him?

Joss didn't say anything as Marcus said she couldn't possibly have killed him. But she had killed someone. Of that she was sure. And she did not care for the taste on her tongue, or the guilt in her gut, of it.

AS MArcus began questioning Conall she stiffened a little nervously. Lying naked in Conall's naked lap was probably not the best thing in front of Marcus. Honest it had been a comfort, but now all she could think about was how wrong it seemed.

She tried sitting up whimpering as her shoulder pulled. The more she came out of her guilt funk the more she acknowledged the pain in her shoulder. And it was starting to hurt like a sun of a bitch.

"Marcus this is Conall. I hired him to be bouncer here. I mentioned it to you... and yes... he's also my alpha." Joss said through clenched teeth as she sat up from Conall's lap.

Marcus raised an eyebrow. "Alpha, eh?" He paused for a moment, digesting the information and reviewing what he knew about Zoanthropes. Finally, he came up with the data he was looking for.

"That's good, I suppose. It's good for you to have a mentor, or at least someone who can keep you safe." He looked at Joss. He watched her squirm in her "friend's" lap. It suddenly became apparent that he could trust her, while he watched her fret. She wouldn't dare to go against him, no matter who wanted her to. She was totally his. "That wound looks painful. You should take a few days off to let it heal. The rest of the employees can manage without you for a few days."

Marcus looked back at...Conall? Yes, that was his name. "If you're going to be looking after her, perhaps you should be paid more than an average bouncer, Conall." But if she comes to harm under care, Wolf, you will burn. He finished silently.
