Erik opened the door to his new apartment. The discussions had gone pretty well, with the landlord asking a price and Erik giving him the price in cash. After that, things had gone pretty quickly. The forms were signed, and Erik had been informed that the previous tenant had had to leave the room in a hurry, and had left all his furniture. Erik didn't mind. It saved him some trouble, though he planned on changing the sheets before he slept on the bed. He set his bag on the ground and checked the place out. One bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Pretty nice for the price, and the door had an inordinant amount of locks, which made Erik feel pretty secure. He rifled through an ornate set of dressers, pulling out all the former owner's clothing and throwing it in a pile on the ground. He pushed the pile into the corner and replaced the clothing with his own, secreting stashes of cash all around the room. Suddenly, Erik realized that he had left the door open, and anyone that had walked by might have seen him hiding his cash. Embarrassed and alarmed, he quickly shut the door with a quiet click and went back to unpacking. He stripped the bed of sheets and covers, making a mental note to go shopping for some new ones later on. Erik frowned at the former tenants choice of reading material. Most of it was romantic smut, not fit for even bathroom reading. With an irritated grunt, Erik turned away from the horrific sight and checked the TV. Basic cable for the most part, which was fine, since he didn't really watch all that much in the first place. With a sigh, he plopped down in a large leather armchair and picked up one of the few non-smut books he had been able to find. "Stranger in a Strange Land. Thank god for Heinlein." He muttered as he turned the page. |

Ziggy wasn't sure why she had decided to move from her condo, it was a nice place, just to big. Granted she had more money now since her new store had turned into a thriving spot for the college crowd. But the place had just been to big, she wasn't used to that much, so she had decided to trade in her condo for a nice quaint apartment. Belladona Apartment Comlex, apartment 3B was what the paper said. She had woke up early and loaded all of her stuff into the car, she had hired movers to take care of the large things, they had arrived a day before so that the place would pretty much be ready to move into without to much fuss. Ziggy Anne wondered down the halls, it reminded her of that movie The Shining with Jack Nicholson, and the chick from Popeye. The thought made her shudder lightly, what kind of leopard was she if that gave her the chills. She laughed at her self as she looked at the door numbers. What had that paper said..she wondered, was it 3C? She had forgetfully left the paper with the adress on the counter at the condo. Then she spotted it, 3C, cool, she hoped it was the right one. Ziggy slid the newly made key into the door and jiggled it roughly, but it wouldn't budge. She decided that she must have the wrong adress, and withdrew her key. Just as she was turning away though, she heard something on the other side of the door that made her stall for a moment. |

Erik was absorbed in his book, captured again by the story, when suddenly he heard a deafening toll of a bell, like he was living in a church steeple. Clutching his hands to his head, he fell off the chair and to his knees on the ground. Yes, Erik. Kneeling is the perfect position for you, isn't it? "What? Who's there?" Erik said, throwing down the book and looking around. I don't have a name, Erik, I simply AM. Don't bother looking for me. You can't see me, you can't touch me, you can't taste me, you can't even feel me, but I can feel you, Erik. Oh, yes. I can feel every shred of emotion. You are a wonder, Erik. Your emotional pain is...delicious. "Oh no, I'm going crazy." Erik muttered. Crazy, Erik? Possibly. But maybe not. Would it hurt so much to admit that there are other powers out there greater than yourself? Or are you too selfish to even grant me the right to my own existance, petty little nothing?! "No, you're not real." Quiet! Someone's coming! The bell tolled again, ending in the soft jiggling of keys in the door. Someone had the wrong room, no doubt. Erik got up from his knees and went to the door. He unlocked it and peeked out from behind it, barely his eyes showing through the crack. Oh great, a woman, just what he needed, something else to keep him off-balance. "Oh! Um, hi. Are you, I mean, uh, d-do you need any help?" |

The door opened a crack, and peaked out muttering a few word's ending in any help. She was startled for a moment. " Uh..no..I think I have the wrong room, I just moved in, was looking for 3B, sorry for bothering you." She said feeling rather odd for disturbing the man from whatever it was he was doing before she arrived. ((Sorry so short, starting to get writers block, I'm going to call it a night, I'll post tomarrow.)) |

"Oh, um...I think that it's th-that way, next door, if I'm n-not mistaken." Erik said, trying to be as helpful as he could. "I just moved in myself, s-so I'm not that sure ab-about it." He was painfully aware of his tendancy to stammer when speaking to women, though he had done it for so long that it had become almost an ingrained response to the opposite sex. OOC:There, a short post for a short post! |

Feeling rather embaressed about having popped up on her new nieghbor Ziggy repeated her apologies. " Oh thank you, again I'm sorry for disturbing you." Then she thought, she should probably introduce herself considering she would be living right next store to the guy. " I'm Ziggy Anne.." She said stretching out her hand to shake. She hoped that her new neighbor was a going to be a good neighbor, ya never new, was like the lottery. |

Erik opened the door wider, stepping out and shaking her hand. "Oh, it's not a problem. I-I'm Erik, by the way." Something about her seemed...odd. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but there was definately more to her than there seemed. He gave a shudder as he remembered his recent encounter. Maybe everyone in the city had something to hide. |

Ziggy shook his hand, he had a strong grip. Her mother always said that you could tell a man's heart by his grip. Ziggy didn't really believe that, just another one of her mothers old wise tales she was sure. " I own a shop downtown, Ziggy's Last Stand, if ya ever need anything come on in, I'll give you a neighbor's discount." She said with a giggle. He was human, which made her more comfy about her living environment. There were not to many were-jaguar's and other cats usually got pretty territorial when she was around, so she was relieved that at least one of her neighbors was human. |

"Oh, okay, I just m-might do that." Erik thought about it for a moment. "What kind of stuff do you sell there, anyway?" He figured it would be a good idea to find out what was for sale before he commited to buying anything. He would hardly have any use for say, a pink parasol. OOC: I hate short posts... |

She looked at him, feeling kinda put on the spot. " Clothing mainly, designs of my own and some designs by my partner Drina. It's all modern edge to chilled clothing, ya know stuff you can where everywhere but with a little extra flare. We have men's and women's apparell, including shoes, and accesories, wallet's, tie's, belt's, chains, and some jewelry." She rattled on, they had more stuff than she could list. She hoped he would check it out, but she was sort of in a rush and needed to get some of her unpacking done before it was time to relieve Drina from the store. " I'm sorry to rush, but I have to take over for Drina in a little bit, and need to get some stuff unpacked." She said feeling kinda bad for rushing. |
