Getting a room

Mordeth Van Alucard
Old Skool
Mordeth walks through the iron-wrought hotel doors into the granite paved lobby. Soft, imitation candle-light illumines the drafty room. Off somewhere to the left he can hear haunting dance melodies chanting their way through the corridors. Black swathed bell-boys lounge about the dungeon-like room, waiting for someone to hand them some bags. Mordeth strides up to the desk, where a well manicured pretty-boy waits behind a computer terminal. Mordeth looks him up and down, getting a smug, yet not unfriendly gaze in return. Mordeth smiles and says in a voice completely void of accent, "Well, well, my dear boy, do you have any rooms available for a weary traveller? I accept only the best. . .a presidential suite perhaps? Oh. . .and how is your room service? I plan on taking many of my meals in."
"Our room-service is top-notch, as is our kitchen. Our only presidential suite is occupied at the moment, but perhaps the penthouse suite would suite your needs sir?" The clerk says in a lilting lisp.
"Ah! A penthouse! No. . .I'm sorry, I am afraid that will not be acceptable. I hate heights. . .all that air and no ground in sight. No sir. I am afraid I must have a ground-floor, or even an underground room." Mordeth pushed the clerk with his will, focusing his desire into a thin spike that he sent spiralling into the deskman's brow, between the eyes. The clerk's face went slack for a moment, and then said, "We do in fact have a very nice suite below ground, it is called the Catacomb Suite. I am sorry, I had forgotten all about it. It is reserved for a very powerful fellow who sojourns to the city often. However he is not here this week, and I see no reason why you should not be allowed to stay there. . .provided," He pasued, his face taking back some color, "you have the resources to fund such a stay?" Mordeth rolled his eyes and produced a velvet pouch which he untied with a flourish, and promptly dumped a pile of diamonds that sparkled like stolen stars upon the black marble counter. The clerk gasped and looked around, saying quickly, "Best put those away, there are thieves everywhere! Allow me to show you to your room mister. . .?"
"Van Alucard. You may call me Van Alucard."
" Very good sir. Right this way."

(Note: I was not sure how roleplaying with the NPCs went in this forum, so if I godmoded that little RP, then I apologize, I did it out of ignorance and would like to be told how to do it correctly if a mistake has been made :))
