Were-Rat

Trinity had just moved to town, and found herself a place at the Belledona Apartment Complex. Now all she had to do was find a job before her savings ran out, which wouldn't be long at the rate she was going. She sat at her kitchen table reading the want ads and drinking a cup of coffee, she had waitressed as her front job for most of her adult years and some of her teen, even before she had become a were-rat. Of course her true occupation of choice was as an assasin. She was just lighting a Newport cigarette when she ran across an add that peaked her interest. Bohemian eatery opening on the outskirts of the city. Need front of house, Hostess, Wait Staff, General Managers ASAP. Apply @ 112 Morris Ave. Van Gogh's Other Ear. Previous experience, waiting, or barista work a plus. Sounded like the perfect spot for her, she finished her cup of coffee and then jumped in the shower. After changing into a pair of pale bluejean bellbottoms and a black off the shoulder poet shirt, she slipped on her sandles and headed out the door. She chose to walk thinking it was a beautiful day, well night but it was the time where you would normally consider it day time. She walked up to the resteraunt immediatly smelling wolf. No problem, she was at a state of zen most of the time and didn't usually have problem's with other lycan's or anybody for that matter. In fact that was one of her greatest strengths, you never new when she was going to strike because she was so unreadable. Trinity opened the door to the Bistro the palce was quiet, but then it was around three so the lunch rush should have passed and it was to early for the dinner crowd. She immediatly felt at peace, the place was comfortable, and she loved the fung shei of the environment. She continued to the counter noticing the wonderful variety of coffee's and a few teas that were advertised on the menu board. She stood there for a few moments not seeing anyone that appeared to work there before calling out softly. " Hello, is anybody here?" |

Lacey had heard the door but she just assumed it was another one of the installers coming to complete putting in the rest of the kitchen equipment. She hadn't been expecting a customer. Since they weren't technically open yet. The kitchen staff came in tomorrow to test out the kitchen then the official opening was the night after. When she stepped out into the main room. She saw the girl standing at the coffee and dessert counter calling out for someone. Ohh maybe someone had already seen the ad. "Hello can I help you?" Lacey asked drawing closer to the woman. Immediatly she smelled rat. She had that instant reaction when one 'smelled a rat'. Her face scrunched up for a second then she forced it to relax. Hmmm she only know of one rat in the city and this certainly didn't look like the local Romni. |

A few moments after she had called out a pretty woman appeared from the back. The closer she got the stronger the scent of wolf became, she wondered how many other were-wolves worked there. Trinity had to stifle a laugh as she watched the woman scrunch up her nose uncontrolably. She was used to that sort of reaction, especially from lycan's who had a keen sense of smell. It didn't offend her not like she could help it so why be bothered by it. " Hello my name is Trinity, I saw your add in the paper and was interesting in applying for a postion. I don't care what one, but I have a lot of experience in the resteraunt business and I think I would serve to be rather useful to you." She said as she handed the woman a rather nice resumee of her resteraunt work. |

Lacey tried not to show the relief on her face. So far she had one waitress and herself for front of house work. She took the offered resume. Scanning it over quickly. Their certainly was alot of restaraunt work on here. In a lot of different places. Which may mean that she may not be permanent... but she was here now. That was good enough for Lacey. "Think you can handle making the schedules, checking the checks and handling the other staffes issues." Lacey asked even as she continued looking over the resume. "And can you start tomorrow?" She added realizing she wasn't going to find anyone better qualified before tomorrow. |

Trinity was used to getting these middle class job's quickly, but the speed Lacey hired her at blew her mind. " Yeah I have had some experience doing schedules and stuff for a few places. And yes I can start tomarrow." She said as she watched the woman glance over her application, they really must be hard up she thougth. " So what's my position?" She asked wondering her title. |

Lacey folded the resume finished with it and tucked it into the back pocket of her jeans. 'General manager slash waitress at least to start once I get some more waitresses in here you'll focus more on the Manager duties. For now I'll be helping with that. I'll start you at 7 dollars an hour plus tips while your waitressing. Well discuss a raise once I get more waitresses in here and see how your working out." Lacey said she moved behind the coffee bar pulling out a drawer she pulled out a tax id form. "Bring the boring stuff with ya when you come back tomorrow. Come early. We're gonna open for dinner around 5 pm but OUr chef is going to do a tasting for us at 3 so we're all familiar with the menu." Lacey heard the chimes on the door as the workmen came in with the last peice of the fryer to be installed. She waved them into the kitchen. "Ohh and dress like that is greatly encouraged. I like the individualist look. Ummm if you know any artists I want to fill up the walls. I'll display there stuff for free. As long as it's stuff there willing to sell. If it sells I get 10 percent. Ummm I think that's it. Sorry I'm babbling but ya know new place, new faces and all. Any questions?" |

Trinity took the necesary paperwork from the woman and stuffed it into the pack that was slung on her back. She was happy with being General Manager, and she loved waitressing, she was a real customer service kind of girl suprisingly even though in her everyday life she kept to herself and was quiet. It was like a performance for her. " Thanks I'll be here at three." She replied " I don't really know anyone around here yet, but if I meet any artist I'll let them know." She said. " No I don't really have any question's, been in the business a while so as long as I know where everything is at, I'm good." She said replying matter of factly. |

Trinity listened as Lacey welcomed her to Detroit and said she'd see her tomarrow. She thanked her, and then made her way to the door. After leaving Trinity continued to walk in the direction of her home, extatic about the postion she had just been hired for. It must be fate she thought smiling and admiring the beautiful evening. |

After the girl had left Lacey wondered if the girl had yet made her appearance to the Romni. Was it her place to tell the girl about Deja? Or should she tell Deja about the girl? She wasn't really sure about interworkings of the lycans. She mainly worried just about the wolves. She wasn't sure what she should do. And in her unsurety decided that it wasn't her place to do anything... This couldn't come back to bite her on the ass could it? |
