You have absolutely no idea what happened. All you know now is that you're on some sort of rocky landmass that's ever so slowly starting to crumble apart. Not fast enough to endanger you, but at a rate quick enough to plunge you into that neverending abyss that surrounds everywhere else if you stand there and do nothing, expecting someone else to rescue you. There's only one path forward right now. It looks like it leads to a much larger central landmass. There's a pillar of light at the center of the mass extending upward. You're sure it'll last long enough to leisurely walk through. There's scarcely any sound... ...save for the strange, amorphic spirits floating around, glaring at you. Open Option |

'Note to self: blow up that teleporter when I get back to base' Fefnir couldn't believe his bad luck. Thousands of teleports a day and he had to take the one broken circuit to who knows where. He was sure the technology was flawless, but I guess even Neo Arcadia machines aren't impervious to making mistakes. At the very least, the reploid's atoms weren't scrambled. And how far could he be from the battlefield? A couple miles? A couple days? The only real way to know is to ask these cyber elves floating around. Oh but Fefnir hated cyber elves. They looked so creepy; he might as well blow them up. 'Patience. Gunfire isn't always the best solution to everything.' He figured the elves wouldn't give him much--they tend to be on the side of the anti-arcadians. The general would have to investigate himself. Not that that worried him. Even alone, Fefnir could stand his own. |

Fefnir's attempt to make conversation with the spirits resulted in some...interesting dialogue. If one can call "CEASE YOUR EXISTENCE" and "BECOME ONE WITH NOTHING" interesting dialogue. Fefnir's keen reploid senses were picking up some conflict in the immediate area. It seemed like he ought to check it out, shortly after dispatching the spirits that are now in his way, clearly trying to destroy him. Worst cyber elves ever. BATTLE! "A challenge you say? I LOVE CHALLENGES!" Malevolent clumps of data spelled out good fortune for Fefnir--angry denizens always meant something juicy was up. His mission of course was at stake, but what's a couple seconds to vent frustration? And Fefnir sure was frustrated. The Arcadian reploid charged his weapons and unleashed his assault, slamming the fire spirit with a Dragon Crunch from his left fist and targeting the ice spirit with his Fire Blaster. |

Slam jam, thank you ma'am. Fefnir smashed the Fire Spirit into the ground for a lovely 45 damage. The Ice Spirit moved forward to assist, but slammed right into a burst of flame. It writhed in pain, to the tune of 134 damage. Fire Spirit: 199/244 HP Ice Spirit: 110/244 HP FEFNIR PHASE |

Everybody say HOOP, THERE IT IS! Because there it is right in the Ice Spirit's face. 134 damage! KO! ENEMY PHASE The Fire Spirit flung forward a flaming fireball furiously. Alliteration does not add to damage, as the fireball was smashed aside by Fefnir. (12 damage!) Fire Spirit: 199/244 HP Ice Spirit: KO Fefnir: 292/304 HP FEFNIR PHASE |

Fefnir was the kind of man who attacks first and asks questions later, but as the action trickled down and victory seemed assured, Fefnir began to gauge his foe. "That smoldering pile over there? That's your friend. The same's going to happen to you. Tell me what I need to know." Neither a "good guy," nor a novice interrogator, Fefnir wouldn't let this "cyber elf" off easy. He figured that these spirits may not be all that sentient--not very characteristic of cyber elves. In the pit of his gullet, he felt uneasy. Something was off. So what does he do about it? Knock more heads until the feeling went away. He charged at the spirit with another Dragon Crush. |

WHAM! Before the spirit could react, Fefnir had it pinned and smashed it in the face. (60 damage!) Between poundings, the spirit screamed something about "ALL IS LOST" and "THE UNIVERSE IS AT AN END" and "IT IS TOO LATE". It didn't really stop Fefnir's poundings. (75 damage!) After several more poundings, the spirit spat out some nonsense about the beam of light really being the entrance into a time-travelling craft. The hell? Fefnir tossed the spirit away afterwards. (45 damage!) ENEMY PHASE The spirit was too woozy to attack. It seemed helpless now. Fire Spirit: 19/244 HP Fefnir: 292/304 HP FEFNIR PHASE |

Fefnir constructed a Monument in record time. The +1 Culture bonus is always useful in the early game when it comes to expansion/policies. But there was no time for that. He saw someone very familiar engaged with three other spirits. Dashing forward, Fefnir found... "Didn't expect you to be here," Phantom replied. He hurled another kunai at the closest spirit to get it to back off. "Let's wipe them out." Phantom joined! Spoiler: click to toggle BATTLE! Megaman was pleased with Fefnir's culture per turn, and let his relations with the other teams fall by the wayside in favor of a new cultural age. Megaman and Protoman both fired their busters as first strikes, prioritizing the Dark spirit but not really caring about which spirit the rest of their shots hit. |
