Now back to work bench for the L A Warmth.

What engines are going on the LA Warmth? I love twins, but they are 4 times as hard to keep the engines running as singles.

Hi Garf,
The LA Warmth is powered by LA 15's, some similarities there. :D
Colour scheme would be similar to Carlisle's. Me copy cat! :$ Monokote and Oracover films.
Incidentally, this is the first model that I have built with more than 90% medium CA, no aliphatic! and some epoxy. Certainly cut down the build time.

Edit. No, it is the second model to use lots of ca. The first was Sky Ray from kit, with those 1/8" ply ribs. After a heavy nose down to mother earth I had a plastic bag full of broken ply ribs!!!Later I have learnt from other forums that others had similar experiences.

The wing was glued in tonight. It won't be long now.

The tail is on. The canopy is on and drying. The gear is on. The engine is installed with the Super Stunt NVA. I will test fly it with the cowling off. If it survives, I will fit the cowling and if necessary, replace the NVA with the Randy Smith unit.

I test ran the engine today. It has enough power, but was not as smooth as I would like. It should improve with some running.

Test flight did not go well. Tank is contaminated. I changed the NVA and filter and will try again Sunday.

After another test run, I cleaned all the garbage out of the filter, so It should be ready for flight.

Test flight revealed the need to tweak the flaps. That has been done and the plane is ready to test fly again.

I am not happy with the engine run. I may change the engine later.

Due to the controls hanging up, the NoblARF #3 has crashed and the motor mounts have been broken off. Time for a new fuselage.

As in my post on Oriental, I have replaced the bearers with a fibre-filled radial mount. Unless your Nobler has more serious damage, you could try this method.

The Noblarf #2 has been damaged in the same way. I am developing a plan to repair both of them.

The plan begins. I cut away the broken mounts and fitted new ones. Next to cut plywood plates and glue the mounts to the plates after which the assembly will be glued to the fuselage side. Later I will take my air sander and reshape the nose of the airplane.

Brodak 40 is installed, 2 coats of polyurethane applied, Tank compartment closed. I need to apply a canopy and a little paint, then fly it.
