Lightly roughen the surfaces of the prop, clean with alcohol to ensure no oil and dust. Spray a mist coat coat, when dried, one light coat. Let dry again and one wet coat. leave to dry at least 24hrs.
Out of balance? Spray a coat on the lighter blade.
I wouldn't bother the paint prop for this type of model as after a few bad landing the paint would peel off. :o

I would not bother painting the prop for aesthetics anyway, just use a black prop !!

Huge loops? Check wing loading, control surfaces movements (smooth and sufficient), C. G. What is the line length?

I'm building a modified version, with bigger wing area and reduced wing loading - about 20 inch span.
I hope it will fly better

Mr Ang: Added weight, slightly better, but still big. 35 feet line length. Now it cant fly inverted...

Mr Simon: Look forward to see that! Post pictures ya?

Test flown the Black Hawk II today. Unfortunately the engine wasn't performing.
It keeps quitting each time the plug clip is released. Different glow plugs were tried including a new one.
Also tried changing fuel, engine cylinder but no improvement.
Finally I managed to get it to run for a few precious seconds, with that the model was flown (a very short flight).

Maneuvers were smooth, loops were tight. But the 10gm tip weight was excessive,
need to reduce by 5gm at later date. After a short flight, the engine quits, the glide was good and controllable.

My only comment is that, the engine need to be replaced, tip weight need to be reduced.
A final note is the covering material (Pilot light kote) is only good for indoor RC. Not good with nitro.
