I clipped the ground a little too hard and broke the motor mounts the same way as on the #3. I am now working on a repair method to replace the mounts. Seems I have 2 chances to get it right.

Repairs on NoblARF #3 are progressing well. Soon I will begin repairs to NoblARF #2.

Repairs on NoblARF #2 have begun. Old mounts have been removed, new mounts cut, the first doubler is under way.

I finally got around to assembling this thing. I hope it holds. These pics are post installation and pre grinding and shaping.

Lower tank cover has been installed along with the landing gear. I hope I never break one of the gear.

The EVO 36 is a good bit heavier than what was on it before plus the weight gain from the repairs. I will check it after it's together. I modified the EVO with the new Fox NVA to get the pickup and adjuster where I wanted it. I hope it works.

The EVO 36 is mounted and plumbed and ready to run. I will use the Tornado 10-4 3 blade prop the first few runs. First, I will let the polyurethane dry a little longer.

The engine has been run. Rock steady. More than enough power, maybe too much. C.G. is forward of NoblARF #3. How much is unclear. If it is too much will only be answered by a test flight.

I've deleted this posting. My sincere apologies. I had posted into the wrong thread by mistake.

I planted this thing in exactly the same way as the last time. This time, the mounts didn't break. There is something to be said for real maple. It's hard to believe I made the same mistake twice. I think there may be a problem in the controls.

I crashed it again cylinder head first. Third time. No damage. I removed the EVO 36 and will try something else.
