After destroying everything but the wing of my Galaxy, I have rebuilt it and stretched the fuselage. I just finished it tonight so I don't have completed pictures. Below is a pic of the nearly completed model.

Looks like my attempt at posting a pic inline didn't work. How does this forum work anyway?

It now has Super Tigre G21 40. The engine has new bearings and a new Frank Bowman ring. Real stong. This plane turned out light.

Test flew the Galaxy today. Too much power, too nose heavy. I swapped the G21 40 for a Super Tigre 35S. 1oz lighter, less power. I also need a longer landing gear or a larger wheel. I have a 1/4 scale J3 wheel here somewhere.

UPDATE: Ran the ST35S today. Ran good after changing the plug and prop. Used a MA 10-5 3 blade prop. Ground clearance is good enough with it.

ST 35 didn't work out. Latest engine is a Johnson Stunt Supreme. My last surviving large shaft Johnson. I also have a larger tank and a longer landing gear installed. Sooner or later something has to work.

The Johnson SS is a good match for the Galaxy. I only need to bring the CG back a little.

Tried it again with a little tail weight. No real improvement, just slightly less stable. Engine won't run a steady 4 cycle. Might need more time since being chromed.

I tried a strange engine on this thing just because I wanted to fly it. McCoy 29 Sportsman.

The McCoy had enough power, but wouldn't hold a setting well enough, so I took the McCoy off and installed a Johnson Combat Special. Next, I need to install a 2 wheel gear similar to the PT-19, except cleaner. This is going to take some thought.
