I will be building my engine hopefully next weekend. I'm going to clean the block, head and plenum up before tho. What colour shall I paint them? Silver for block and head? Black for block and head? Blue for block and head? What colour for the plenum and throttle bodies? Silver? Black? Blue? I have heat painted my exhaust manifold and downpipe matt black. What about this combo? Black block and head, black throttle bodies with gloss white plenum and gloss white rocker cover? Edited by Stu, May 6 2011, 08:53 PM.

Silver for me Stu, makes it look new! This was black when I got it off Shaun, but wasn't to my taste. Easier to spot any leaks too on a silver block!

It's in my garage mate yes, but it's only 5 minutes down the road so won't take much to get it whenever you need it :) |

hard to say stu, silver might look a bit manky after a bit you know when you get salt on it etc and water it can quickly deteriorates, and getting down to clean it is a biatch, |

I think silver or black would look nice surrounded by the ivory, would make all the colours pop

I think I'm going with the silver for the block and head. I will do the plenum and rocker cover in white. Not ivory as I want it to stand out more... I'm going to paint a few other things aswell. Which I think should look pretty trick ![]() I won't be using the car that much so I shouldn't have a problem with shit building up to much on the engine lol It won't be used in the winter at all! |
