How do I clean the oxidise off the lip of my alloys guys? They've been sitting around for a while by the looks. Its an alloy rim with no paint on it. Do I use a cutting compound? Brasso or something? Wire wool? Any tips? Thanks. |

Lol Looking on the net, it says to first use 500 grit sand paper, then use wire wool with metal polish. On 2 of the alloys I think I will have to do this as they are more oxidised than the other 2. I'm doing pretty good with these wheels, I had a quick go at them last week. And got most of the worse oxidise off ![]() I have just spent an hour on them and 3 of the wheels, all of the oxidise is off now. I had a phone call off danny fennel so the last one hasn't got done because its to dark now lol I've used 400 grit sand paper and a very fine one to get rid of any scrathces. I will do the last one tomorrow. Then I have to buy some wire wool and metal polish and see if I can get them to a perfect standard. Few more hours work and they should be as good as new hopefully lol ![]()
