We picked up Little Big Planet along with our PS3, and this is the very first game I played on it. The premise of the game is common enough... make your way through worlds collecting points and items. And just like any other game with this premise, some items are more difficult to get than others, and some can't be gathered until you've acquired other pieces in later levels. The main draw of the game that makes it unique seems to be the total customization aspect, which apparently even allows you to create your own levels from scratch using the items and materials that you unlock along the way. I haven't really explored this aspect of the game yet, but it definitely seems like it might be fun.... though quite probably a tedious process. However, there is also the ability to play custom levels that other people have created via the Playstation Network. So far, I've only been playing through story mode, and though I'm not very far into the game, it's already becoming quite challenging to finish levels. Overall, it's a fun little game. It seems that it will take some time and effort to actually complete story mode, so there are definitely lots of new things to discover. And even when you've gotten 100% on a level, we've already learned that there are still new things to find if you go back in and replay it. |

I'm still enjoying LBP... if you have a PS3 and don't have LBP, definitely pick up the Game of the Year edition; it includes some of the DLC and such that the regular version doesn't. I've been playing a bit more recently, as Elania likes to watch us play it; she loves the sack people... While, the game can get repetitive; the mechanics are a little limited, there is plenty of challenge. I've been checking out some of the PSN material, trying out some of the user made levels and material. Some of them are pretty lack-lustre, but there are a lot of really good levels to be found. |

In Real Life ™, people who aim to maximize their potential for lethality are called "dangerous psychotics" and are typically avoided by everyone who isn't forced to endure their company until someone has the opportunity to put them away or else put them down. No one likes that guy. Don't play that guy. Donate to Ankhanu Press | |
