I picked up Soul Calibur IV for PS3 about a week ago or so, primarily for the Star Wars content (you can play as Vader; as Yoda on XBox360).

The game is pretty typical of the Soul Calibur franchise; some nice fighting, jiggly big boobs, a multitude of weapons and fighting styles, terrible voice acting and dialogue, and a character generator... with the addition of Star Wars characters. I've been having fun playing, and Amy's been having even more than I, though we haven't played much of the 2-player game. The story mode lets you gain in-game money and character options, unlocking characters to play and equipment to use with them during character creation, and levels in which to fight. The graphics are pretty nice (I'm still using a CRT TV, so they'd probably look better in HD), and the controls are fairly simple, though special moves can be a little difficult.

In the Star Wars content, when playing in the Arcade mode as Vader (or Yoda), the 7th fight is with the Secret Apprentice from the Force Unleashed. This is the single most difficult combatant in the game; a very frustrating stage... If it weren't for being able to continue after defeat to try again, I don't think I'd have ever defeated him. Amy and I took over 83minutes to finally beat him (I finally succeeded), unlocking him as a playable character. The battle was intense as the Apprentice is lightning quick with an arsenal of powerful attacks and readily sidesteps and ducks your efforts. Familiarizing yourself with Vader's abilities to get the most out of his relatively slow movements is really your only chance to win this fight... that and perseverance :P He does make a good player character as well, though I have not figured out many of his special manoeuvres yet.

The character generator is a little ponderous, but will let you (eventually) create your own interesting fighters, specialized as you like with lots of customizability in how they look/sound. You can start from a clean slate, or customize existing characters as you like.

Overall, a pretty fun game, though with very little content... but what do you expect, it's a fighter :P
In Real Life ™, people who aim to maximize their potential for lethality are called "dangerous psychotics" and are typically avoided by everyone who isn't forced to endure their company until someone has the opportunity to put them away or else put them down. No one likes that guy. Don't play that guy.

They've added Vader and Yoda as DLC for the systems that initially came with the opposite character. Nice idea, I'd like to add Yoda to my PS3 version... however they're charging WAY too much. To add Yoda to my game costs $4.99; 1/6 of what I paid for the game... for a single character. Bit too steep.
