When Haldren Van Klauus found himself genetically modified against his will by his employer, the Crey Biotech corporation, he became Scimarian and took his fight with them to the streets, using the powers of his liquid body.

Tyrone Jones had a debt to society that needed repaying, as a prize fighter he accidently killed a man when his power to alter the density of his body manifested suddenly.

The two teamed up, after a brief tussle in the streets of King's Row. Realizing they were in over their head they contacted famed metahuman activist and advocate, Fallen Westcott, who revealed to them her own superpowers and contacted her companion Aurora *******, aka Stratosphere.

Hot on the trail of a Crey lead, the intrepid group of freedom fighters discover that homeless people all over Paragon City are going missing, and Crey may be involved.

After questioning some remaining crazies, the team investigates the sewer system, only to discover a warren of underground caves occupied by half man half thing creatures, who seem to be worshiping strange idols and brandishing Crey technology.

Sure that Crey is involved Scimarian leads the team on a raid of a Crey facility, where they discover that Crey is just as curious as they are, about the missing tech at least. They discover a lead that sends them in the direction of the Clockwork King, a collection of psychically collected cogs and wheels that commands a kingdom of little automaton men.

With Crey Protectors hot on their tails, the team heads over to the old Garment District to question the Clockwork King. When they get there they find the mighty beast slain at the hands of a strange new foe, a foe who seems to know them, and who regrets that their city, and their world must be destroyed, so that he can achieve his ends.

Who is this new foe? Who is Prof Milos Sender, the resigned Crey scientist? Who or what is Mender Silos, the last words of the clockwork king? How are they all connected? What the hell was up with Anonyman?

Before leaving the mysterious new foe tortures Haldren with a brief return to his former self followed by a slow and painful mutation back into his newfound identity. The group helps him to Tyrone's bathtub where he blubbers in fear for some time.

Baffled at the events that have transpired, our heroes are certain they have stumbled upon something larger than themselves, but no sooner do they catch their breath when they are set upon once more by folly.

The windows crash inward as an invisible foe enters the tenth floor apartment, one by one our heroes go down before even setting up their guard and as Tyrone sinks to the floor he sees black ops troopers materialize from the gloom.

In a darkened prison the team awakens, with Scimarion in a water tight vat, and his compatriots bound. It quickly becomes apparent that their superpowers have been nullified, but against all odds Tyrone escapes his bonds, but before he can free his friends, Aurora is freed mysteriously, and six Guards enter the room.

Tyrone rushes one of the guards, before Stratosphere can warn him these men are not foes, and though he knocks one guard to the floor he is incapacitated by a blast from without the room.

"What the flying hell is going on here, boy?"

Johnny Rage, director of Longbow, whose testosterone glands have their own families and cheat on their wives, enters the room boots-a-clompin'.

The group is quickly debriefed and informed that any further discovery on this matter had best be reported immediately. They are questioned on their knowledge of Mender Silos, and any possible connection he might have with Milos Sender (geneticist , connected with the ministry... whatever that is).

After being inexplicably being told that the situation they've just been asked to investigate is too big for them, the group is dispatched to an intersection miles from Tyrone's pad.

Having not been home for three days, Aurora heads there, and having not been to work in as long Fallen does similar while Tyrone and Halden grab some hotdogs and foil a small robbery.

When they arrive at Tyrone's place (by bus) they are greeted by a man in a suit named Wilson and his hundred odd armed guards who take Scimarion prisoner and summarily go back on their word and attempt to capture Tyrone Jones.

Tyrone bursts through the only unbroken window and flees across the parkinglot as laser bolts dart the ground around him, he takes a rocket to the back of the head saving a family in an SUV but otherwise escapes without injury. Scimarion also escaped because his guards had bad PER rolls and he knows how to fall like rain. Go figure.

Similar Crey personell attempt to apprehend Fallen and Aurora, but since Fallen has no super powers (that they know of) and Aurora is just a girl they were sorely understaffed and got their asses kicked.

What is Crey up to? Who is Milos Sender after all? Is Mender Silos even a villain? Is he that guy from the portal? What even happened to Lord Nemesis and the guys who were part elephant? And what the crap is an Orenbega?

Tune in next time!

The Crey cornered Scimarion and Tyrone in the subway while Fallen and Aurora got to safety. In one last ditch attempt the Crey unleashed the product of their supersoldier program, the mysterious "Project Ministry" on our two Subway bound heroes, only to be thwarted when Tyrone and Scimarion got the jump on them and Fallen and Aurora quickly arrived to back them up.

Now, with time to breath, our heroes ponder the mysteries before them.

With the Crey threat temporaily out of the way, our heroes have a week's respite. Tyrone goes back to his work, and Aurora to school, while Fallen and Halden continue on the trail of our adversaries.

Halden nurses his wounds for some time, being crushed in a singularity after having your genes re-spliced all in the span of a few days can be harrowing. After a time he returns to our hero's discovery in the underground city. What he finds is less than heartwarming, the strange denizens of this world have spawned a new form in their number, who seem to be organizing the lesser beings for what can only be bad news. The Lost are growing in number and ferocity.

Meanwhile Fallen has taken an audience with a resident historical expert to learn more about Orenbega and the crystals. She learns that Orenbega may be a 'Cradle of Humanity' site. A human city that predates known human history. The word itself comes from the ancient magic-fearing society known as the Mu and literally translated it means Place of the Crystal or Place of the Doorway. Few people believe these legends. It was said that a great crystal of mountainous size was stored there, and the awakening of this crystal would precede some kind of world transformation.

Upon leaving the university Fallen was confronted by a mysterious figure, calling himself Mender Prometheus. The figure told her that she needed to destroy the Orenbega Crystal, and that she may meet him again along the way but that she could not rely on him for help. He gave her a business card with this symbol: Shown here. he told her to use it if things got to be too much, and he was gone.

Meanwhile Aurora was having her own mysterious confrontation: Johnny Rage showed up and instructed her to take the Crystal that had evidently been recovered in some way and bring it to Milos Sender, who had been found in northern Rhode Island in a town called Croatoa. Confused, but believing that the director of Longbow knew best, she was off to explain things to Fallen. After assembling our underground avengers together, it was determined it would be smart to leave the Crystal in a safe place, and go and see the Professor.

At Sender's place in Croatoa, it was revealed to them that Sender had no idea what they were talking about. He had no knowledge of the function of mysterious crystals, he was a biologist. He did however have a collection of facts about Lord Nemesis, a nasty case of amnesia, and a deep desire to hold the crystal he seconds before didn't care about.

That was the hero's cue to scadoo. On the way home they were accosted by (the now revealed to be a robot copy of) Johnny Rage. Smack was quickly laid down. It seems Nemesis thought it would be funny for the gang to deliver the crystal into Milos' waiting hands, but to what end?

As a finale, the Real Johhny Rage was filled in about the goings on, and revealed to them that the person they encountered was the real nemesis, that Nemesis was some kind of time traveler whose exact nature was not understood, and that it was believed that Sender and Nemesis were one in the same. Lord Nemesis and Milos Sender are anagrams of one another. Longbow, for this reason, is quite concerned about the nature of this newcomer Mender Silos. It is not known to Longbow whether Nemesis comes from the future or the past, nor whether Milos, or Silos are past or future versions of him. Don't even get him started on the possiblities of alternate timelines.

What is clear is that Nemesis is able to replicate his crystal by bringing it back in time and picking it up in the future, lather rinse repeat. this ensures him a near infinite supply of power, and he wants Milos to have some.

As soon as Johnny Rage leaves there is an explosion downtown, and low and behold Lord Nemesis himself is calling our four heroes out on the evening news.

Bum Bum Bum!

Nemesis Plots?

A golden Citadel downtown?

A younger version of that future guy telling people to do things opposed to what future him said to do???

What?

OK, anyway, after that those underground men? Yeah, they invaded the city. While the heroes where overhead in SHIELD surplus airships, aliens who look like the statues the underground folk worship invade the skies.

Summarily they mess shit up, and though our heroes take a pile of them out they end up driving a Helicarrier into a park.

With devastation all around them and aliens filling the sky.... and a mutherfocking golden god damned citadel mucking up the downtown skyline, what will our heroes do next?

I know what I'd do. I'd get the fuck outta dodge. But then again, I got no superpowers.

Haha, this was an interesting plot to say the least :) I've gotta say, Kris, you run a pretty sweet, well thought out game.

Haha, you create the illusion of a well thought out game ;)
Of course, things never work out to the plan, but that's just the nature of gaming :P
